While Helen and I where eating I received a few calls about the jewelry Mia was trying to sell. I knew she was going to do something like that, that is why I made a police report if those jewelry tries to get sold it was stolen. I knew if I told my usual jeweler Mr. Brown he would spread the word to the others, and making more money out of me is way more important than buying jewelry back jewelry that actually belongs to Helen now. I was upset with myself when Helen told me that Mia actually did abuse her, if I could strangle that women without going to jail, I’ll probably would. It’s actually amazing how love and hate is so close to each other, I mean a month ago I actually loved Mia now I want to kill her for everything she has put Helen through. The only thing I was struggling with now was should I tell Helen about Antoinette that she’s not really my child, but with everything I put Helen through already today I decided against it.
Helen started to talk about the business and how it’s not going to take to long to get everything back on track which was great news. I mean that was my baby I wanted my business to do good. “But now that you’ve retired and you and mom are getting a divorce what are you going to do? I mean wasn’t the plan for you and mom to travel when you retire?” “You know what I think I’m still going to do that, go out and see the world a bit, I’ve worked almost my whole life the only holidays I took was when I took your kids away, I think I can do a cruise or two maybe meet a young lady.” “Dad!” Helen said shocked. “What?” I asked her innocently. Helen and I was still chatting I’m sure 2 hours has gone by it was so nice just to sit and chat with her to find out what she needed out of live and what she needed from me. We were just laughing about something when suddenly Mia was standing over us. We didn’t notice her not until she said “Your mother fucker how could you?” both Helen and I looked up. “Mia?” “Mom?” Helen and I asked. “Don’t Mia me why did you tell the police the jewelry is stolen?” “Oh, off course that is why you are here.” “What jewelry dad?” Helen asked. “You just keep your mouth shut.” Mia said looking at Helen. “Well Mia she has all the right to know it is her jewelry you are trying to sell.” Helen wanted to say something but I showed her to keep quiet. “You gave it to me as a gift, so you are taking gifts back now?” “They were given to you as a family heirloom, something you can pass down from daughter and then they to their daughters.” “Well, I need that money to help my daughter to stay out of jail.” “That was not why it was bought.” “Well, it’s mine I can do with it what I want, phone the police and all the fucking jewelers and tell them there was a big misunderstanding.” I stayed calm calmer than I was earlier today. “No, I won’t.” I didn’t expect Mia to grab a 9mm firearm out of her handbag.
“Mia think about this” I said trying to move to get closer to Helen to shield Helen I know Mia she will try and use Helen against me. “Think about what? You’ve not given me a choice in the matter.
