Chapter 168: Ten Years Later

Mark's POV

I pull up at the high school after my meeting got done early. I try my best to fetch Lana and Jordan from school. They attend the same high school. Lana is now sixteen years old and Jordan is fourteen years old. I have two teenagers in the house. I don't know where the time has gone, but just the other day, they were little.

Anger rises within me as I see Lana standing outside of the school fence talking and laughing with a boy. She doesn't see me waiting for her. I didn't prepare for this to happen so soon. "F^ck." I mutter under my breath.

She is wearing a blue skinny jeans and a black cropped t-shirt that reveals the lower part of her stomach. She started wearing her long brunette hair loose and yesterday she applied a bit of makeup on her face. She is using Gray's makeup. Not even Jordan is here, he is probably on the field playing football with his teammates.

The boy's hand moves towards her, then he put her hair behind her ear and she smiles. That's it, I had enough. I get out of my car and I walk towards them. I am wearing my black Armani suit and it is a f^cking hot day. "Get your hands off my daughter." I say as calmly as I can. I stand in front of them.

The boy looks at me with his blonde hair and his green eyes are huge when he looks at me. "Dad, please just leave him alone, he is my friend." Lana says.

"I am not a fool." I say as I look at her. "Get in the car." I glare at her. She rolls her eyes at me before she looks at her friend again.

"I will see you tomorrow, Daniel." she says to him, and then she attempts to walk away, but I remain rooted in my spot and I glare at Daniel.

"I do not want you anywhere near my daughter again." I say through clenched teeth.

"Dad, let's go." Lana says as she places her hand gently on my arm. I finally look away from him and I follow Lana to the car.

I get inside and she sits in the passenger seat as we wait for Jordan. "I want you to stay away from him." I say as I look ahead.

"I can't believe you, dad. I am allowed to have friends." she argues with me.

"He touched you." I hiss.

"He didn't touch me. Gosh, sometimes I wish that I never had a f^cking father like you." she says.

"Watch your mouth, young lady." I say through clenched teeth as glare at her. That pierced my heart too.

"You say that all the time." she says.

"It doesn't mean that you have to say it, I taught you right from wrong." I say.

She shakes her head in disbelief and anger, folding her arms over her breasts. "All you wanted from me was to know about Sternpoint. I love to sketch and I love entertainment. I can be friends with whoever the hell I want and I will no longer be sitting next you." she says as she opens the door and gets out.

I let out a breath. "F^cking teenagers." I mutter under my breath. I should've known what I was getting myself into. The back door of my car opens and she gets in the back. I shake my head as she puts earphones in her ears to listen to music.

The front passenger side door opens and Jordan gets inside with his ball and backpack. "Hey, dad." he says.

"How was school?" I ask as I start the engine and I drive. He fastens his seatbelt.

"It was cool. We are playing a game on Saturday, so if you want to see it, then you know." he says.

"Of course, I will be there." I say, I never missed any game and I will continue to be his support as well as my other kids.

"I hate math." he sighs.

"I hate math too." I smile. Jordan has always been the one to bring a smile on to my face as a teen. Lana, on the other hand, I don't know. Everything is a problem for her.

"I have math homework so I will sit with that. Uncle Reggie is good at it, so can you drop me off at his place later?" he asks me, his brunette hair hanging over his forehead.

"I will, I need to speak with him about something too." I say. I miss having Reggie as my lawyer. I have this new guy that I have to get used to.

"Pete's sister likes you." he says.

"What?" I ask, confused.

"Pete's older sister, who is in senior year, likes you. He tells me that she always talks about you to her friends and I noticed how they always look at you. It's really gross." I look over at him as he scrunches his face in disgust.

" I'm sorry that you have to go through that. I wish they hadn't look at me that way." I say with a sigh.

"You are old." he says.

"I am not old." I say.

"You are old, dad. You are fifty-five. You are old enough to be my grandpa." he says. I feel offended. This is what I didn't want. To be old with young kids. Gray is thirty-nine years old, and as beautiful as I saw her the moment that she stepped into my office at sternpoint.

"At least I still look good." I say.

"That is the issue. You are attracting girls too." he says.

"Don't worry about them. They will do nothing." I say.

"She isn't a nice girl though, she is pretty, but her attitude stinks badly." he says.

"That makes a person ugly on the inside." I say.

"She said a couple of mean things to Lana the other day." he says. My anger rises again, because no one messes with my kids.

"What mean things did she say?" I ask. Lana is still listening to music because I can still hear it blaring.

"That she is a slut and she likes to steal guys." he says. My jaw clenches. My knuckles become white as I grip the steering wheel. "I found Lana crying last night in her room but she told me to get out." he says.

"I will speak to her." I say. He nods.

"She likes this one guy, he is on the football team but he was mean to her too because he is Pete's sister's boyfriend."

"F^ck." I mutter under breath.

"Dad." he says as he looks at me.

"Sorry." I say, I always forget about the kids in these kinds of moments when I curse.

"I don't like to see her get hurt because even though she is home and she appears to be totally fine and a bad ass, she is hurting, dad." he says.

"I will have a word with her." I say.

We pull up in the driveway. Lana is the first to get out and she storms inside of the house. There is more going on with her and I will find out.

Gray's POV

The front door opens as I walk out of the kitchen, eating fruit salad. I just got home with Weston and Scarlett. Weston is ten years old and Scarlett is eight years old. We waited two years to try again and then I fell pregnant with Scarlett. She keeps Mark busy.

The front door opens wide as Lana storms in. She walks past me without greeting. "What happened?" I ask her as she continues to walk.

"Ask dad." she says, and she runs up the stairs.

Mark and Jordan enter. "What happened to Lana?" I ask.

"Hi, mom." Jordan says as he places a kiss on my cheek.

"How was school?" I ask.

"It was okay, dad is taking me to uncle Reggie later so that he can help me with math." he says.

"You still hate it." I chuckle.

"Yes, with a passion." he says, and he walks up the stairs.

Mark moves closer to me and he leans forward, placing a chaste kiss onto my lips and he pulls away. "The baby still making you feel nauseous?" he asks.

"Yes." I say as I walk inside of the lounge. I am ten weeks pregnant with baby number five. It was an unplanned, surprise pregnancy. Mark and I have lots of s^x so this is what happened. I missed my shot due to meetings. I sit down on the recliner and Mark sits down on the sofa.

"I think that Lana might be bullied at school and I saw her talking to a boy, there was nothing innocent about it." he says, and I can see that he isn't happy about it.

"I will speak with her about the bullies, and I will talk to her about boys. You cannot be the one to talk to her about boys, you already look like someone who might wage war on the whole earth. So leave it to me." I say with a smile.

"He better stay away from her because I will rip him to shreds." he says as he runs a hand through his hair. He lets out a breath. "My little girl is growing up."

"They all are. You have another one the way, so at least you can have your attention on this one too as the others get older." I say.

"I can't believe that I'm having a baby at the age of fifty-five. F^ck." he mutters.

I chuckle. "That is what you get when you want four kids and when we have s^x all the time." I smile at him.

"Perhaps we should go back to the condoms again for extra protection. Four was enough for me but another one... I need more strength, but I will love the baby as I love the others." he says.

"Daddy!" Scarlett runs inside of the house and she hugs Mark.

"How are you doing today? How was school?" he asks and she smiles at him.

"It was fine. We did painting." she says. She has his eyes too. It is only Weston that has my eyes.

" Your sister used to sketch a lot too, but she hardly does it. Her whole room was full of the sketches." He says.

"Really?" she asks with excitement.

"Yes." Mark smiles at her as he holds his one arm around her waist. "I look forward to seeing your paintings." he says to her.

"I miss Zoe." she says. Zoe is Reggie and Jamie's daughter. She is the same age as Scarlett.

"We are going there later and then you can see her." Mark says.

"I can't wait." she says with a bright smile, and then she runs out of the lounge.

I smile at Mark. "You are her favorite."

"I try to be the best father that I can be. Just so that you know, I would like for us to take a vacation somewhere, only the two of us. Things just became hectic after Scarlett. I really think before I get much older and before that one comes that we need to make that plan." he says.

"Count me in." I smile at him. He stands up from the sofa and he walks over to me, leaning forward, he places his lips against mine and then it becomes passionate.

"Ew! Mom...Dad, not in here!" we pull away just inches as we laugh.

"I forgot for a moment we can't f^ck anywhere in this house." he says softly only for me to hear.

I look at Jordan as he walks out of the lounge with his eyes covered with his hands. Mark walks after him to the kitchen.

I bet that they can hear us have s^x, they don't say anything but the hints are there that they have heard. Mark and I will need to have the talk with them too.
