Chapter 108: Move to canada
Leo's POV
"Safe travels, dear," Mum said, as I pulled her into a hug. "Take care of yourself and don't forget to call me the moment your jet lands, alright?"
"Alright, mum." I nodded, pressing a kiss to her cheek, before we disengaged from the hug.
Dad hugged me next; a brief, side hug followed by a firm clap on the back.
Ophelia gazed at me, arms folded across her chest, as I opened my arms. "Are you like going to stay there permanently or what?"
"Enough with the question. Give me a hug." I huffed, to which she scoffed then grinned and ran into my arms.
"Be good to mum and dad," I said, caressing her jet black hair.
"Why are you acting as if I'm a kid? Jesus, I graduated college already, I'm a big girl now, Leo. I don't know how many times I have to remind you." She uttered, and I chuckled before letting her go.
"That doesn't matter. You will always be my baby." I said, and she rolled her eyes, as my assistant returned with two men to carry my luggage into the private jet.
Ophelia had graduated fashion school some months back, and now worked as an intern at Louis Vuitton.
We were currently at my private hangar where I was going to board my jet to Canada.
Some months after I broke up with Fiona, her father decided to opt out of our joint venture, thinking I'd lose stakeholders. However, the opposite happened, as more Investors invested in my company, and now, it was one of my most successful business ventures.
Last month, I purchased an almost bankrupt company in Canada, mainly because my assistant, Dylan, told me that he learnt from a reputable source that Allison lived there now.
I knew moving to Canada to look for Allison, without knowing where she lived or even being on good terms with her was not a wise option, but I didn't care.
Staying in Canada would give me the reassurance that I would definitely locate her soon.
"Love you, baby." Mum yelled, waving as I walked up the stairs of the private jet.
"I love you too, ma. Take care." I waved back before entering the aircraft.

As I knotted my tie while gazing at my reflection in the mirror, a thought crossed my mind.
What if Allison was now in a relationship or even worse married?
I couldn't possibly steal her away from her husband. Hell, she could even file a restraining order against me if I attempted to get too close to her.
"Fuck!" I cursed, leaving my tie half-knotted as I pondered heavily.
Damn it, how could I have forgotten to dwell on that possibility?
Liam was right when he told me that I thought the world revolved around me and me alone.
I had failed to think this whole thing through before moving here.
Exhaling heavily, I finished knotting my tie, donned my coat, grabbed my keys, and headed out of my villa, the latest real estate investment.
It had a swimming pool, a water fountain, a driveway, a private television room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens, even though I rarely ever cooked, and two sitting rooms; one was upstairs while the other was downstairs.
Don't get me wrong, I knew how to cook.
Hell, there was no way I would have survived living with mum if I didn't know how to cook. Right from when Liam and I were ten, she made us participate in cooking.
By eleven, I could proudly make lasagna, my favourite food, and rotisserie chicken.
Mum had told Liam and I that cooking wasn't a woman's job but what every responsible individual ought to learn, in order to survive and not be a disgrace to his or herself.
I couldn't even imagine what she'd think of me when she found out about how I had treated Allison like trash.
She'd probably never speak to me again because she frowned against such acts of cowardice and cruelty.
As long as I lived, I'd make sure she never knew about it. Apart from Liam, nobody else in my family knew Allison, so that was settled.
"Good morning, sir," Dylan greeted as I stepped into my new office.
"Morning, Dylan." I replied, taking in the classy interior decor of the office.
The interior designer had really done a wonderful job with it.
"Would you like me read out your schedule for the day?" He asked.
"Yes."
"You have a meeting with HC and sons corporation at noon. After that, you have a meeting with the team leaders, then a welcome dinner with the chairman of Vasquez group." Dylan recited.
"Okay. Send in the leader of the auditing department. Tell him or her to bring the reviewed sales memo for final assessment."
"On it, sir." He said, before exiting my office.
Moments later, a knock came on the door as I assessed the folder of documents on my desk.
"Come in. The door is open." I said, putting the folders away.
My mouth gaped when the object of my yearning for the past five years walked in, a folder of documents clutched to her succulent bosom.
On seeing me, her mouth fell open in shock, her eyes doubling into the size of saucers.
Just like me, Allison couldn't believe her eyes too, as her mouth closed and opened like a fish out of water.
My Allison was still as gorgeous as ever. Her hair had also gotten longer, and her body even sexier.
Focus, Leo. This isn't what you should be thinking of, I chided myself inwardly, as I forced my gaze away from her breasts.
As I stood up and made to walk to her, she darted me a murderous glare, and I instantly halted in my path.
"Long time no see, Allie. How have you been? You look lovely." I said, throwing her a smile.
Pointing at me, she hurled. "Don't even dare. Quit acting as if we ended things on a good note. We were never that close for you to ask me such questions or even call me Allie, okay?"
"Okay, I'm sorry," I nodded, heart tugging with disappointment.
"So you are the new boss, huh?" She scoffed. "If you think I'm going to give you another chance to boss me around, then you thought wrong, because I quit!"
Without waiting for my response, she dumped the folder on the floor and stormed out of my office.
