Chapter 497: Waiting for Dad
Olivia's expression softened slightly.
However, compared to Michael, she seemed more willing to trust Robert.
She was in a terrible state right now.
She had no idea where in Emerald City this place was. She had no communication devices, and the Johnson family certainly wouldn't give her a car to go find Andrew.
Going out like this would only end up hurting her.
Regardless, she didn't want to be in the same space as Michael.
After thinking it over, Olivia said to Robert with a stern face, "Give me a room. Don't disturb me without my permission."
Robert instinctively glanced at Michael.
Michael nodded at him.
After getting his permission, Robert immediately said, "Alright, please come with me."
Then he led Olivia to a guest room in the villa.
After entering, Olivia closed the door and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Robert didn't linger either. After returning downstairs, he quietly reminded Michael, "Mrs. Johnson has gone too far this time. If this continues, I'm afraid there will be no chance of reconciliation between you and Ms. Smith."
Michael understood his point. He irritably pinched the bridge of his nose and instructed Robert, "Go check on Bianca's whereabouts."
"Alright."
Robert agreed but before leaving, he reminded him again, "Let's have someone send some food to Ms. Smith. She probably rushed over today after getting the news and likely hasn't had time to eat anything."
Looking at the time now, it was already past eleven at night.
Michael nodded and instructed Robert, "Prepare both."
"Okay."
Robert left to carry out the orders.
In the room, Olivia walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and observed the situation below, wondering if she could find a chance to escape from here.
But unexpectedly, there were many patrolling bodyguards below the villa.
She sneered and raised the corner of her lips mockingly.
Amelia really thought highly of her, setting up such tight security to prevent her from escaping.
At the same time, she blamed herself for being careless.
If she had been more alert back then, maybe she wouldn't be trapped here?
Andrew was still waiting for her. He must be very worried.
And Bianca—she didn't know how she was doing now. Would she be scared?
Despite her worries, Olivia forced herself to calm down.
She couldn't let her thoughts run wild. Andrew had said he would come find her. He would definitely come get her!
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
Olivia frowned and looked toward the door, asking, "Who is it?"
Michael's voice came from outside, "It's me. I brought you some food."
"No need. I'm not eating."
Olivia coldly refused. She didn't want to see him at all!
She was afraid she couldn't control herself and would kill Michael!
If it weren't for him, neither she nor Bianca would have suffered this disaster.
Being treated so coldly by her, Michael finally experienced what she must have felt when he gave her the cold shoulder—those feelings she never expressed.
He didn't force it. He turned back and gave the things to Robert, asking Robert to deliver them to her.
Robert said nothing and obediently did as told.
But Olivia didn't open the door for him either.
Robert could only stand outside the door, trying to persuade her, "Ms. Smith, I bought this food myself. There's no problem with it. If you don't want to eat, you don't have to force yourself. But the drug's effects haven't worn off yet. I brought a medical kit. Is there anything you can use? You can take a look. I'll leave everything at the door."
Hearing this, Olivia's expression improved slightly.
Her current condition really did need medicine to help.
After the sounds outside stopped, she opened the door and took the medical kit.
When Michael learned that she had opened the door, he felt very uncomfortable.
She was willing to accept what Robert gave her but refused his.
At this time, at The Johnson Mansion.
In the place where Emily used to live, Bianca was hidden here.
After dealing with Olivia's situation, Amelia finally had time to come see her.
Hayden was worried that Bianca would be traumatized and something would happen, so he came along too.
They originally thought that when they entered, they would see Bianca crying and making a fuss.
But unexpectedly, under the servants' care, Bianca was quite calm.
So calm that it didn't seem like she had been forcibly brought here.
Seeing the two of them enter, her expression was also very calm as she asked, "When can you let me go back? Mommy and Grandpa and Grandma will be very worried if you take me away."
Hearing her mention Olivia right away, Amelia's expression turned cold. She said coldly, "You don't need to go back. From now on, you'll live with the Johnson family. This is your home. Later, I'll also arrange a new kindergarten and new residence for you. As for your mommy, you won't see her anymore, but I can let you see Daddy first."
At this point, she realized that the person in front of her was a child, and her tone was too harsh, which would only distance Bianca from them.
So Amelia softened her tone and said to her, "Bianca, I brought you back because I want your mommy and daddy to remarry. A good child can't be without a daddy and mommy. So I hope you'll forget everything in Harmony City. Do you understand?"
Bianca pressed her lips together, her expression very calm.
She knew that Amelia was deceiving her.
Amelia had taken her away behind Olivia's back, which was ill-intentioned from the start! It wasn't because she loved her, nor was it a genuine intention to accept Olivia!
They were as bad as ever!
She wouldn't believe what Amelia said!
Amelia coaxed and deceived her nicely for a while.
But Bianca remained unmoved and indifferent.
She also lost patience and simply threatened directly, "Anyway, as long as you behave and don't make trouble, I'll treat you well. But if you don't listen and dare to cause any problems, don't blame me for punishing you!"
Hearing this, Hayden disapprovingly stopped her, "Don't threaten her."
Bianca was already distant from them. Talking like this would only make her dislike them more, wouldn't it?
Hayden brought Bianca many toy gifts and coaxed her in a kind and gentle voice, "Bianca, I bought all these especially for you. Please accept them."
Bianca didn't oppose them. She glanced at the toys and politely replied, "Thank you."
She didn't touch the toys but looked out the window, feeling gloomy as she wondered: When would Daddy come get her?
Hayden and Amelia coaxed Bianca for a long time, but seeing that Bianca's attitude toward them remained so indifferent, they found it boring and stopped talking to her.
It was almost ten o'clock at night.
Bianca usually prepared for bed around nine. The nanny came to take her to bathe, and Bianca didn't make a fuss. She obediently followed.
After washing up, she went back to her room to sleep.
Amelia and Hayden watched for quite a while and found that Bianca really didn't cry or make noise, nor did she cry for her mother like ordinary children would. Both were very surprised.
Amelia said in amazement, "Bianca is really different from before. She wasn't this brave before and always clung to Olivia."
Hayden praised with satisfaction, "That's good. Although Olivia is quite stubborn, she's done well in raising the child. Bianca has been brought up very well by her and is very obedient."
Amelia nodded. Looking at Bianca's changes, she felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Bianca was obedient now, but she was too distant. Being with them was full of distance.
After all, she wasn't raised by their side, so she wasn't close to them.
And she wouldn't try hard to please them like Aiden did.
This made Amelia very dissatisfied.
She felt that she still needed to find a way to properly discipline Bianca.
After Bianca fell asleep, Hayden and Amelia also went to rest.
The night gradually deepened. The Johnson Mansion was surrounded by silence. After all the lights went out, Bianca's room door was pushed open from outside.
Soon, a tall figure walked in from outside.
The person moved very lightly, opening and closing the door with almost no sound.
But Bianca, lying on the bed, seemed to have been waiting for a long time.
Almost as soon as the figure stood still, she sat up from the bed in one motion, her eyes bright as she looked at the person.
"Daddy, you finally came to get me?"
Bianca's voice was full of joy.
Her little short arms stretched out toward the person.
Andrew looked at her and smiled gently, bent down, held her in his arms, and asked softly, "Why isn't Bianca asleep?"
Bianca hugged his neck and happily nuzzled him, saying, "Bianca was waiting for Daddy to come. Not sleepy!"
Andrew lovingly rubbed her head and said, "I'm here. Let's go back now."
"Okay!"
Bianca's eyes were full of excitement about leaving with Andrew.
Andrew carried her out just like that, as if the Johnson family's territory was an uninhabited land.
From the time he entered to the time he left, no one noticed.
After successfully bringing Bianca out, Andrew took her directly to the car.
Once in the car, he asked Bianca, "Were you scared staying alone with them?"
Bianca shook her head and said, "Not scared! Because Daddy said that no matter where I am, you'll come get me! And crying and making noise can't solve problems. It might even annoy others, so I didn't cry either."
Hearing Bianca's words, Andrew nodded gently, "Good girl. It's good you weren't scared."
Bianca then asked, "Where's Mommy?"
Andrew looked at her with gentle eyes and said, "Mommy went somewhere else to look for you. If you're sleepy, sleep first. When you wake up tomorrow morning, you'll see her."
"Okay!"
Hearing this, Bianca immediately nodded obediently.
It was already the early hours of the morning. She would normally have been fast asleep by now, and she was yawning now.
Before long, she leaned against Andrew and fell into a deep sleep.
The car became quiet as Bianca fell asleep.
After Bianca was sound asleep, Andrew took a coat from the side and covered her small body with it.
Then he asked David in the front seat, "Have you confirmed Olivia's location?"
David replied in a low voice, "Confirmed. She's in a villa under Chase's name. The villa's location is quite remote, and there are quite a few guards, but our people have observed it. It won't be difficult to handle. Everything is proceeding according to our plan."
