That meant I had the whole day off and I had absolutely no idea what to do with it. The sound of a key in the door made me jump and the next thing I knew Kate had entered the apartment. I quickly wrapped the blanket around me to hide the fact that I was completely naked from waist down.

“Good morning.” I smiled as she entered.

“Whoa! Ree, you made me jump!” Kate exclaimed, clutching at her chest as though her heart was beating ten to the dozen. “Did you sleep on the sofa?”

She raised an eyebrow at me and looked around as though she half expected to find my playmates somewhere.

“Don’t worry, they are gone,” I told her. “And yes. I think I passed out after all the excitement.”

I thought for a moment and realized that she was right. I really did need her help on this one. I had never been this adventurous in my life.

“Yay! I’m so excited.” She chuckled. “Let me shower and then we’ll get going!”
