Chapter 31

~ Wolfendon ~

Alpha Marco was so happy. His plan was falling into place and everything was working for him just as he had planned and he even had a bonus, something that he wasn't expecting but he was happy it happened and it worked in his favor.

After that incident and battles with the vampires , Marco thought that he could just get the throne since he was next in line after Keldon. He was related to Keldon's father,his father was Keldon's father younger brother which made him next in line after Keldon since he was the next male

He had craved for the throne for a long time and even worked hard for it but yet Keldon got the spot instead of him because he was the only son of his father and next in line after his father . He worked so hard but was always second best and didn't know why they had always disregarded him when he felt like he was the best but yet everyone preferred Keldon to him.

He wanted it so bad to the extent that he decided to get rid of Keldon. He went to one of the maids in the kitchen who was In charge of the food and paid her lots of cash to put wolf babe in Keldon's food. She didn't want to do it at first but due to the money that he was offering she couldn't say no to him.

When he heard that Keldon went for an emergency battle with the vampires but was defeated. He felt Happy thinking he would die but the mother fucker didn't just want to die and made it out alive . He was going to make sure that he got what he wanted and didn't even know what to do when he heard that they had found out about the wolf bane and that there's a traitor among them.

He wanted a present during the last meeting because he went out for an urgent matter but when he came back and heard everything that had happened. He was a little scared and felt threatened that they might find out that he was behind it all and if they found out he was either going to be killed or banished which would ruin his entire plans and spoil everything that he had worked for all his life.

When they had the battle with the vampires,he saw Keldon laying on the ground lifeless and didn't even bother to help him thinking he was dead and also that he had to run away from the vampires before they caught up with him or else he was going to join Keldon on the ground laying lifeless.

He ran back and went back to the pack with few of the survivors. He was a little happy that Keldon was stuck there and even got assured that he might not make it since he was in the vampire's land and he knew how much they dreaded werewolves but he was sure that they would tear him to bits .

He got disappointed again when he heard that Keldon had been found. He was so annoyed and wished that he would just die so that he could take his place and take what rightfully belonged to him. He wanted to destroy everything in sight at that moment because of the anger that was boiling in him.

But he calmed down when his personal bodyguard who was also the one who delivered information to him told him that he was in a coma and they were not sure whether or not he was going to wake up.

Marco felt a little at hope after hearing that news and was sure that since he was yet to recover from.the previous battle and wolfsbane he was definitely going to be in coma for a long time which would give enough time to find a way to kill him.

He was still lost in his fantasy until he heard a knock on the door. He wasn't expecting anyone and wondered who it could be.

" Come in, " he said. His body guard walked in and stood there,Marco guessed the fact that he probably had something to tell him. He was really in the mood for some good news like the one he's been hearing all week.

" Good afternoon, your majesty," his bodyguard Lugard greeted him .

" What brings you here?" He asked. He was really curious to know what caused the sudden visit.

" I'm here to inform you that the alpha's have called for a meeting and your presence is needed immediately" he told him. Marco wasn't really in for any meeting or anything but he couldn't avoid it so he just nodded.

" Get my car ready,I'll be ready in five " he told Lugard. Lugard nodded in response and left the room to wait for Marco outside.

Marco got dressed into a suit and got ready. He looked in the mirror and was imagining himself being the ruler of the entire pack and getting exactly what he wanted then he wouldn't be second best

They entered the car and his driver drove him all the way to the palace. They got into the palace and the maids and guards around greeted him ,he just replied with a nod.

He got to the second floor where the meeting was being held.

" Took you long enough, " Wallace said to him. Marco felt annoyed by his words but just ignored him and sat down.

" So what's the call for the impromptu meeting?" Marco asked. Wallace just smirked at him mocking his impatience.

" Calm down dawg " Henrik said. The rest of the alphas there just kept quiet and then a few minutes later they started their discussion.

" We're here to discuss how we're going to manage the kingdom, " Alpha Lucas, who was the oldest amongst them, said.

An idea crawled into Marcos mind and he got an idea how he could use it to his advantage and have a taste of power.
