Chapter 30

~ Wolfendon ~

Everywhere was so silent and full of distress. There was no happiness in anyone's face and everyone was just quiet and lonely. No one understands what was causing the problems and why it has to happen to them.

The queen was unconscious after discovering that both her children were missing and one was in a coma. No one could blame her for fainting. At that moment it was a very bad thing to experience and there was no way they could help.

Evette was in great pain,she didn't understand why everything was happening to her. She fell unconscious and woke up after two days which was very unusual and she knew that it was because of the news she had heard. She didn't know what to do and how to deal with the news,it was as if her whole world had crumbled to bits and she was left all alone to pack it up.

She didn't know what to do anymore and just sat in her room not because she wanted to but because Rorhy told her that she needed full rest so she could recover fully but it was as if she didn't want to recover and she didn't feel the need to recover anyways. She felt hopeless and useless lying there on the bed with no way to help her children.

She had shut everyone out from coming close to her,she didn't want to see anyone and even the alphas that came to visit her weren't allowed in . She didn't want any sympathy or pity,she didn't want any of it and it would only annoy her if they came there ranting about how pathetic she was .

The only person allowed into the room was Rorhy and that was because he was her doctor and she had no way of sending him away. Although her body wasn't responding to any of the treatments and that's because she didn't feel any need to get better . She was going through a great amount of pain and all of it was just making her more angry.

She was lost in her thoughts until someone came into the room. She looked up at the person and discovered that it was Rorhy. The only person who was allowed into her room,she didn't even let any maids in except for her personal maid who just came to give her her food and medicines .

" How're you doing, your highness?" He asked with that sheepish smile of his. She looked up at him and it was obvious that she wasn't in the mood but he was only trying to cheer her up but she didn't feel like she was into any of his jokes or anything.

" The same," she replied dryly. He didn't know how to reply to that,he knew that she was sad but she didn't have to be so pathetic and just lay on the bed all day . She should at least make some effort to get up if not for herself then Keldon who was in a coma and would badly need her by his side.

" I heard from your maid that you haven't been eating and taking your medicines at all," he said. He sat on a stool close to her bed to check her. She didn't reply to him,she just kept quiet, staring at the wall.

" You really don't want to help yourself ,do you?" He asked . He just wanted to help her ,to make her get up on her feet and get well again. She was a queen and needed to be there for her people too though it wasn't easy but she had too not only Because it was her role but also her duty.

" Can we not have this conversation Rorhy" she said. Rorhy was fed up with why she was avoiding it and trying to run away from all of it. He was her doctor and didn't want to fail in his position to help her.

" I'm just trying to help you, your highness,I know that it hurts but staying in bed all day won't help you, you need to get out of bed and work hard ,think of your people and Keldon" he told her. That touched her a little bit that she started to burst into tears and didn't know what got into her. She had totally forgotten about her role and focused more on her pain.

Keldon wasn't around to rule the pack but she should have taken up his role but instead she was just lazing around blaming it all on her pain. But she was truly in pain and didn't know what to do,both of her children were missing and one was in a coma . She had no idea what to do immediately she heard that news and fainted.

" I'm sorry Rorhy,I was in distress and didn't know what to do till the extent that I forgot about my people and son,I'm so sad that both Nyra and Xoryn are lost but that doesn't mean I should forget about my people and the only son that's here with me" she said crying her eyes out. It touched Rorhy and he just patted her back trying to soothe her from her pain .

" It's not too late your highness,you can go to visit Keldon and I assure you that the rest of the alphas and warriors are working non stop to find Nyra and Xoryn" he told her. She began to wonder where Nyra was and hoped in her heart that she didn't go to the vampires Kingdom to look for her sister since she knows how reckless she was and how she can act without thinking .

" Where did Nyra go anyway?, I hope it's not the vampire's Kingdom" she asked. Rorhy kept his head bowed not knowing how to answer that question yet since it wasn't sure that she was in the vampires Kingdom or not but it seems like it.

" I don't know your highness but all I can say is that I hope she's safe " he told her and reassured her with a smile.
