Chapter 61: Chapter 61

“Do you, Jeremy Blake, take Drey Locsin to be your fated mate and legal husband forever?”

“I do.”

“Do you, Drey Locsin, take Jeremy to be your husband forever?”

“I do,” Drey smiled.

“With the power vested in me as a representative of the Moon Goddess, I hereby pronounce you husbands. You may kiss now.”

The crowd erupted with cheers as Drey pulled the omega into his arms and kissed him deeply in front of them all.

“Aww, this is so beautiful.” someone gushed

“This is supposed to look weird because Jeremy's a male omega, but how come this is the most beautiful couple I've ever seen?” another said

The question seemed to move around the people, but everyone remained happy.

“Aww, that's so beautiful.” Mica turned to Oliver, who had their baby boy strapped onto his chest. “I expect something like this for ours, Oliver.”

“Oh, don't worry, darling. I'm not about to let the son of the richest man in the world outdo or outclass me.”

Mica excitedly kissed his cheek before rushing over to Jeremy and Drey, who were still receiving congratulatory tokens and gifts from well-wishers.

“Jeremy,” she called as she got close, and they went in for a hug. This made hushed whispers burst around them, especially from the younger generation of wolves who had never seen a pack wolf with a secondary sex different from their primary sex.

“You look good, Mica.”

Mica rolled her eyes.

“Oh, please. Like you're not stealing the entire show with how pretty you are. Oh, and look, Drey is here too. Sorry, I didn't see you there.”

“Oh, no worries, Mica. I couldn't see me too if I was standing in front of the most beautiful being in the world.”

Mica squinted at him before asking, annoyed,

“Cheesy bastard,” she muttered "anyway Caroline and Aiden sent their good wishes and gifts" she told Jeremy as she drags him along with her to go say hi to Oliver's parents, who were also present at the party.

“Dude,” Oliver said as he walked up to Drey. “Can you stop raising the standard too high? We're trying to reach you here.”

Drey smirked at him. “Not my fault my silver spoon always shines, especially when my baby is involved.”

Drey cooed at the baby on his chest before moving towards his mate, making Oliver sigh as he looked around at the exquisite design, luxury food, and souvenirs being given out.

If he did even half of this, he might go into debt that would take years to pay off. But then again, he wanted to give Mica the best.

He let out a breath and willed himself to work harder than before.

At the reception, everyone was merry. Percy danced happily with Jaden. Ramsey with Julianna. Oliver with Mica. The grooms together.

Almost everyone had partners, except for a few, among whom was Tracy, who stood red-eyed at a distant corner.

It had been over a year, but she was still holding on to the love she had for Drey even after Tara let her go with a warning to stay away from the couple. But seeing him dance happily with Jeremy, his eyes clearly fixated on him, she finally agreed that it was time to move on and that it was time to leave.

She had already turned in her resignation letter and had her stuff packed and ready to return to her father's pack, still mateless.

She had already congratulated the couple earlier. The guilt didn't allow her to look them properly in the eyes.

Drey said he was sad she was leaving, but Tracy didn't see it, not with how his mate probably had something to do with him always smiling and stuff.

She wiped at her cheek, took the last of her drink, and turned to rush out, only to bump into someone.

“Oh, my Goddess, I'm sor—”

Her eyes met Tara's, and she paused.

Tara sighed as she fixed her eyes on the short beta lady.

“Long time no see, hope you're not here to shoot at someone” she smirked, making Tracy grit her teeth and run past her out of the party hall.

Tara rolled her eyes and grabbed a drink from a server that was passing by. She had just taken a sip when her eyes sighted Chris, who was hugging his brother.

She watched as the alpha soon broke the hug and, with his head held high, walked out of the hall.

Tara followed as quickly as she could in her tight, long, glittering gown. When she got out, she almost lost him until she saw smoke coming from behind a big tall tree.

She followed it and, sure enough, she smelled him before she saw him.

A smile crept up her lips at the defeated sight of him.

“You're still like this, Chris?” she asked, but the alpha ignored her and continued smoking.

She sighed dreamily as she leaned against the tree close to him.

“I heard you went for therapy. And that made me happy because I did too. At least if we're not going to be happy mates, we should both be miserable.”

Chris rolled his eyes and scoffed

“Why did you need therapy?” he cut in.

“Same reason as you. Obsession with something we can't have led to depression or whatever.”

Chris turned to look at her, and she took the opportunity to snatch the cigarette from his hand and took a long drag.

“I told my psychiatrist that I'm okay now but I don't know what it is but he wouldn't accept that" she breathed out "I'm no longer obsessed with my mate is what I keep telling him, it's just... it's just that I don't see myself with anyone else"

Chris took a step and was walking away when she called after him

"Give me a baby Chris, that's all I want from you"

The alpha paused and she walked up to him. He looked down at her.

“You said you'd let me go. You freed me.”

“And you're free. I don't care about you anymore, but as an omega, I can't keep all these emotions that I have bottled up. I want my own person to love and share a life with. And it's your fault. I can't be with someone else, so take responsibility.”

“How is that my fault?”

Tara scoffed sadly.

“Really, you don't know?” she asked, and when the alpha said nothing, she sighed. “I hate going back on my words, but imagine how the Alpha and Luna will feel if they found out their son rejected his mate multiple times in favour of his brother.”

“Like that would move me.”

Chris was going to walk away again when she grabbed him by the shirt.

“Tara...?”

“Please...” She cried. “You mustn't have sex with me, Chris. We can do this medically. Just please, let me have your baby.”

Chris looked down at her for a short while, staring at her in silence before leaning down to capture her lips.

When they broke apart, Tara was breathing hard, her eyes staring deep into the alpha's eyes.

Chris's hand went to the back of her neck pulling her close.

“You asked for this, Tara. Don't expect more from me.”

Tara smiled as a single tear rolled down her eyes.

“I won't.”

And then she leaned up to capture his lips once more.

....

By the end of the night, only the Blake and Locsin families were left in the hall after bidding the last guests; Oliver, Mica, and their little baby boy goodbye.

“Did I outdo myself, or did I outdo myself once more?” Percy laughed, feeling proud to have organised his son's wedding to be worthy of their name. Everyone said so.

“You really did outdo yourself, Dad, but I still think I could have done better.”

“Better?” Percy scoffed at his son. “You couldn't even pick out a fitting suit Drey and you had to stand close to this gorgeous man looking like a beggar.”

Drey's eyes widened, looking scandalised, making Jeremy chip in.

“Don't be too harsh on him, Dad. His sense of fashion has always been bland and dull.”

“That's not true.” Drey retorted

“Well, I think you look wonderful, Drey, darling.”

Julianna piped in, holding a sleeping Jaden against her chest.

“Thank you, Mom,” Drey smiled at the older woman. At least someone praised him today.

“It's way past midnight people. Everyone should get some rest from the tremendous activities of the day,” Ramsey said.

“You meant dancing,” Jeremy said, making the group laugh.

“And eating, drinking, generally just making merry,” Ramsey said again, and they nodded.

It had indeed been a wonderful day.

“We'll be taking Jaden with us for today,” Julianna said. “See you lovebirds tomorrow.”

She began to walk away without waiting to hear Percy's retort about how he should be with Jaden instead.

Ramsey wished them well and walked away after his wife.

“You both should get some rest,” Percy said.

“You deserve more rest, Dad.”

“Yes, you're right, and to that effect, goodnight, kids. This old man's going to get some well-deserved good night's sleep.”

Percy waved them goodbye, muttering, “Oh, if only Jaden was with me tonight, we'd read some stories and go to sleep,” as he walked away.

“Man, he always has something to sass about,” Drey said once the man disappeared, making the omega chuckle.

“Well, he's cute. You don't know it, but you're just like him.”

Drey raised a brow at him.

“But a hotter and better version, right?”

Jeremy sucked in air through his teeth as he made a thinking pose.

“That I can't tell.”

“Oh, come on.”

Jeremy sighed as he leaned against Drey in a hug.

“We should probably go too. I'm feeling kind of tired.”

“You are?” Drey asked, his voice soft and low. “I'm still energetic, though, and ready for the honeymoon night activity of our wedding.”

Jeremy raised his head to look at him, and the alpha wiggled his brows suggestively.

The omega said nothing and only shook his head before going back to just leaning on him as a comfortable silence settled between them.

Jeremy looked around at the littered hall, standing there hugging each other in the middle of it.

“I still can't believe a lot of people turned up,” Jeremy said warmly.

“What's there not to believe? The Alpha's son and the son of the wealthiest man getting married. That's going to be the wedding of the year.”

“You're enthusiastic today.”

“I'm more enthusiastic about taking you to bed, Jeremy. Why aren't we leaving yet?”

Jeremy sighed.

“Because I'm tired and can't move a muscle right now.”

“That shouldn't be a problem.”

Drey swooped him up off his feet, carrying him bridal style.

“Should we get going then, my lord?”

Jeremy nodded with a satisfied smile, resting his head against Drey's chest dreamily as he walked.

Jeremy stared dreamily at his alpha.

“You're handsome, Drey.”

“Well, you're beautiful, darling.”

“Kiss me, alpha.”

That had the alpha stop and look down at the omega.

“You know I can't stop when I start. Are you okay with that here and now?”

Jeremy smiled as he leaned up in Drey's arms and kissed the alpha.

A slow, gentle kiss that allowed their emotions of love to flow to each other.

“I love you, Alpha.”

“I love you, omega, my love.” He kissed him again. “Forever and ever.”

The moon shone on them and the wind blows gentle around them.

Life had never been kind to the omega. He had spent years running from a truth he didn't understand, carrying wounds he didn't know how to heal, and fighting battles he never asked for. He had lost his memories, his sense of safety, and at one point, even his hope of ever finding where he truly belonged.

But somehow, through all the pain, Drey found him.

Their love wasn't born in a perfect world. It wasn't without fear, misunderstandings, secrets, or scars. They had both been hurt, and there were wounds that would probably take years to completely fade.

But perhaps love was never about finding someone who could erase every scar. Perhaps it was about finding someone who would hold your hand while you learned to live with them.

Their story wasn't perfect.

Their future wouldn't be perfect either.

There would be difficult days, arguments, fears, responsibilities, and moments when they would have to choose each other all over again.

But they had something they never had before.

A choice.

They could finally wake up beside the person they loved without running, hiding, or wondering if they belonged.

Jeremy had found his home.

Drey had found his mate.

And together, they were about to build a life that belonged entirely to them.

The past would always be a part of their story, but it no longer had to decide their future.

So, as they stepped into the next chapter of their lives—with a new marriage, a growing family, and countless days still waiting ahead of them—they didn't need to know exactly what the future held.

They only needed to know that they would face it together. Because sometimes, after surviving the storm, you don't need a perfect ending.

You just need a new beginning.

And for Jeremy and Drey...

this was theirs.

The End.
