Chained by them

Chained by them

"W-.. where are my clothes at?.." I fixed my tone and looked down embarrassed. I could see Xavier smile in the corner of my eye.

"If you are good, you will get them back. Well, that is if we feel the need to. I almost left you naked just so I could stare at your sweet little body, but I felt that was a bit too cruel."

My cheeks burned with shame, and I curled in on myself slightly, wanting to disappear. Even though Xavier seemed all sweet and innocent, I knew he was far from it. His words made me feel sick to my stomach. I was still so young, barely even an adult by pack standards, and they looked... hmm, ancient. Like carved gods with cold smiles and darker intentions. And yet he still shamelessly ordered the warriors to strip me naked.

"Stupid bastards"

Pickle’s words made me smirk slightly but I kept myself together. I didn’t want them to know just how much comfort Pickle's snark gave me—how much it helped me hold on to myself.

For some reason, I felt calmer than I was before, and I realized it was because they were releasing their scent. It was subtle at first, like a trickle of warmth at the back of my mind. I tried not to give in, tried to keep my head clear, but I slowly tilted my head their way, softly sniffing the air in their direction.

The chains around my neck and ankles were very heavy, but since I had a bigger build, it wasn’t overwhelming. Still, the metal rubbed my skin raw in places. I hated that I was getting used to the feeling.

Xavier slowly lifted his hand off of his lap and held it out towards me but kept his distance, making sure he didn’t get in my space uninvited. I stared at him suspiciously for a few minutes. I didn’t trust him. I didn’t trust any of them. But there was something primal stirring in my chest, something instinctual that pushed me forward.

Very slowly, I leaned toward his hand and sniffed it. He smelt like a mixture of lavender, vanilla, and coconut, with a slight hint of something else that I couldn’t quite describe. Earthy, maybe. Or like the aftermath of a thunderstorm. It made my nose twitch.

The front of my muzzle had hit his hand, but he remained so still that I couldn’t tell if he was breathing or not. I had a feeling he was holding his breath, as if he was making sure not to scare me away. Like I was some wild animal he was trying to coax into a trap.

I was still more frightened of Winston and quickly jumped back when he moved his leg. Xavier frowned slightly, most likely disappointed I got scared off. My tail curled tighter around me in discomfort. I eyed the remote in Winston’s hand again before looking up at him sadly, hoping for a shred of compassion.

"As pretty as you are, your little puppy eyes won’t get you anything unless you remain being good like you were," he murmured.

I huffed in annoyance before sitting back up, almost eye level with them. I tried to grasp the back of my neck but the pain in my hands stopped me from doing that. My wrists were swollen and sore, the skin around the manacles red and irritated. I started to feel angry again due to the fact they were in full control over me, and I didn’t like that one bit.

"Can I at least see my parents?"

I already had a feeling what their answer would be.

"No." Winston replied almost instantly, which really pissed me off.

"What am I here for then? Just let me go back to my pack... I’m useless here," I snapped. My voice cracked at the end, and I hated how vulnerable it made me sound.

"You are here because you are our mate, and once you learn to give in and be a good little submissive puppy for your mates, you will help rule with us."

I didn’t pay much attention until the last part, and that’s when I really started thinking. Rule with them?

"Are you all crazy? Can’t you get any female to be your Luna?" I asked, my voice bitter.

Winston chuckled darkly, the sound low and full of cruel amusement. “We could,” he said. “We’ve had plenty beg for it. Throw themselves at our feet, offer their bodies, their blood, their loyalty. But none of them matter now. The bond chose you.”

Xavier’s voice was quieter, more calculated. “You’re special. Even if you can’t see it yet. Your bloodline, your strength… your wolf. We’ve waited a long time for you.”

I scoffed, anger rising like a tide inside me. “So you chain your mate up like a dog? Strip him naked and treat him like a pet? That’s what you do to your ‘special’ mate?”

Neither of them answered.

I could feel my wolf stir in the back of my mind, his rage simmering beneath the surface. Let me out. I’ll tear their throats out and piss on their crowns, he growled. It made me smile again, just for a second.

“You won’t keep me here forever,” I whispered, my voice low and dangerous. “I don’t care what kind of magic or scent games you play. I’ll find a way out.”

Xavier tilted his head, eyes shining like polished silver. “Maybe. Or maybe you’ll stop fighting and realize you were always meant to be ours.”

"How old are you by the way?"

"Thirty-five," Winston replied first, and I could feel my heart literally drop out of my chest. My entire body stiffened at his words, my breath catching in my throat. Thirty-five? That was more than double my age. I tried not to show how disturbed I was, but I knew my reaction was obvious.

"Thirty-five," Xavier answered right after, looking at me straight in my eyes.

His gaze was intense, unwavering, like he was daring me to flinch or argue. I didn’t. But inside, everything felt like it was unraveling. That number echoed in my skull like a warning bell I couldn't silence.

"Don't you think y'all are too old for me? That's like... a really big age gap..." I mumbled the last part, probably barely above a quiet whisper. I hated how small my voice sounded, like I was shrinking under the weight of everything. Their presence. Their power. Their age.

"No. Our ages are barely nothing and you know it. We are basically your age," Winston informed me, his tone flat and dismissive. He made it sound like I was the one being unreasonable—as if centuries of maturity could be erased with a single sentence.

But it didn’t help. Nothing about this situation helped. I slowly came to realize they were most likely telling me all of this so I would cooperate and tell them things about myself without putting up a fight. Like manipulators playing the long game, luring me in with fake warmth and twisted logic.

The silence that followed made my skin crawl. The air around me felt thick and suffocating, scented with lavender, dominance, and lies.

"Will I be able to see my parents at all?" I asked again, this time more forcefully. There was a tremble in my voice, the desperation slipping through no matter how hard I tried to hide it.

I started to grow angry again, but was still very frightened of getting shocked. That damn remote. I glanced at it without meaning to, as if the thought alone summoned the pain. They already had some control over me and it hadn't even been a day. That realization alone made my blood boil. I was already caged, collared, stripped of dignity and now they wanted my trust?

Once I didn’t hear an answer, I began growling again but remained looking at the ground. My claws flexed against the cold floor, the sound faint but sharp. I wanted to lunge, to bite, to scream. But instead, I held it all in. Barely.

I heard Xavier sigh before slowly getting up and holding a hand out for his brother.

"We will keep trying, but right now we have things to do."

Winston gave me one last look before also standing up to his full height. His shadow stretched across the floor, almost brushing against mine. Even that made me want to move away.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, looking down at me.

I was. My stomach had been twisting for hours, empty and aching. But I acted stubborn and didn’t say yes even though I knew damn well I was very hungry. I pressed my lips together and looked off to the side, refusing to give him the satisfaction of obedience. Silent treatment was one of my ways of gaining control. If I couldn’t fight them physically, I’d fight them mentally. Even the tiniest act of rebellion felt like a victory.

"You answer when you are spoken to," Winston said, and a shock came not too far behind.

I flinched from the sudden pain and nodded my head repeatedly, my pride burning in my throat. The sensation shot through me like fire, numbing everything else. I hated the way it made me submit. I hated that they were training me like some pet.

"Good boy," he praised, lowering his hand down to pet me, but I quickly dodged it. I wasn’t some dog they could tame with punishments and pats. His hand lingered in the air for a moment before falling back to his side.

He then looked at me for another moment, something unreadable flickering in his expression, disappointment? amusement? possession? before they both walked out of the room, locking the door behind them with a heavy click that echoed in my ears.
