Chapter 60: Epilogue

**Four years later**

The soft sound of fussing roused Eva from her peaceful slumber, the tired she-wolf opening her hazel eyes to take in the setting of the master bedroom. Outside, an Indian Summer was in full swing with golden vanilla light pouring in playfully from the french doors across the room from the large bed Eva was currently sprawled in, her body aching dully on the soft white sheets.

The fussing sound started again and Eva lifted her body carefully from the bed, auburn locks spilling over her shoulders and milk-heavy breasts. In her mind Kalla rose from the darkness to see through Eva’s eyes as she approached the cot, peering at the tiny bundle wrapped up in a soft blue onesie and blanket.

“Hello you,” Eva cooed to the newborn as he kicked his covered legs, tiny button nose wrinkling. “Oh my little warrior, are you hungry? Hush now, mummy’s here.”

She lifted the infant gently, cradling him as she cooed and moved to the armchair by the window to enjoy the later summer breeze while she let her son suckle on a nipple.

It had been over four years since Eva and Daniel had defeated Ethan and completed the mating bond. Since then the pack had been more than flourishing. Silver Moon decided to take on the Hellhound name, solidifying them as the only super-pack in the land. However, to honour the pack name they had called the capital Silver Moon once it had been built and opened. It made sense to move the packhouse and pack proper closer to between the two territories and expanded their operations. The old Hellhound township became a training facility for warriors, scouts and hunters. They opened the doors to their allies to help build the strength of the international alliance and developed an IT facility as well. Business was booming and more and more recruits joined every year, keeping Duncan and Joe busy.

The old Silver Moon township had worked with a coven of witches to develop a university for both kinds as well as a popular retirement destination for the older wolves. Both Eva and Daniel’s parents were now living there happily, enjoying the quiet life free of responsibility.

Bethan had found her mate just a year after she became a pack member and now lived with her mate in Canada, far away from her dark past and the demons had haunted her. Eva spoke with her regularly and they were planning a reunion for the next year. Bethan was happy, she was still quiet and timid but her mate was loyal and supportive and treated her how a mate should.

Outside, the capital was alive with activity as everyone rejoiced in the news that their Luna and Alpha were parents once again. The scent of barbeque smoke and grilling meat mingled with the sounds of laughter and music. True to the ways of the Hellhound pack, they found any excuse to celebrate and come together. The thought of food was appealing and Eva smiled softly as she stared down at her little boy as he fed. She could tell he would be like his father with his shock of dark hair and stoic aura.

A soft knock on the door drew Eva’s attention away from her little one, her eyes watching as the bedroom door opened a little before a little girl with fiery red hair, golden skin and hazel eyes peered in, eyes widening when she saw the Luna and the little bundle in her arms.

“Daddy she’s awake!” The little girl called behind her before bustling into the room and bounced over to her mother to peer at her little brother. “He’s so small.”

“That’s because he’s brand new.” Eva smiled at her daughter, lifting her free hand to brush the long fiery tresses of the girl’s hair.

“How brand new?” Carmina narrowed her enchanting eyes at her brother.

“The goddess dropped him off just seconds ago. You just missed her.” Eva teased.

“He doesn’t seem very exciting.” Carmina huffed but still watched her little brother with wonder and awe.

“Oh he’ll be rolling in the dirt with you in no time.” Daniel’s deep baritone answered, the Alpha leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest as he watched his young family. “Carmina, go supervise Uncle Kade with the ice cream for your cousins. Make sure he doesn’t skimp on the chocolate sauce.”

“On it!” Carmina hopped up and bounced out of the room.

Eva and Daniel chuckled as they watched their daughter skip away. She was going to make an excellent Alpha when it was her time. She possessed her parents' tenacity and sense of loyalty, not to mention she was as stubborn as a mule.

“How is my beautiful queen?” Daniel asked as he stepped into the room, shutting the door softly so not to startle their son.

“Sore.” Eva admitted, leaned up to meet Daniel’s lips half way. “But happy.”

They both watched their son as he settled into a doze again now he was fed. While he wouldn’t be the alpha of the Hellhounds, he had alpha blood and Daniel had already decided he would teach the boy like he would Carmina to allow him the opportunities he deserved.

“Did you decide on a name?” Daniel finally asked.

“Lucas.” Eva replied, glancing at her mate. “Lucas Noah Wolfe.”

“Well, hello Lucas Noah Wolfe.” Daniel chuckled and eagerly took his son from Eva when she let him. “You, my little warrior, are hereby welcomed to the Hellhound pack. May you be loyal and shown loyalty by all those who will call you family.”

*THE END.*
