Chapter 124: Why Did You Leave Me To Die Three Years Ago?
Fiona’s POV.
I feel the heat radiating between us, the intensity of his touch making every nerve in my body come alive. As Micah's fingers linger on the clasp of my bra, a shiver of anticipation runs down my spine. The promise in his voice sends a thrill through me, and without a second thought, I break the kiss and nod, my eyes locked with his.
"Do it," I breathe, my voice barely a whisper, but the desire is unmistakable. Micah's gaze darkens further, and with a swift, almost impatient motion, he undoes the clasp of my bra. The fabric loosens, and he slides it down my arms, revealing my breasts to his hungry eyes.
A gasp escapes my lips as the cool air hits my now-exposed skin. Micah's gaze intensifies, and he cups my breasts with both hands, his touch both possessive and gentle. His thumbs brush over my nipples, sending electric currents through my body. I can't help but arch into him, seeking more of his touch.
His lips trail a path of hot kisses down my neck, his tongue flicking against my skin. Each touch, each caress, fuels the fire building inside me. Micah takes one of my nipples into his mouth, his warm, wet tongue swirling around it. A moan escapes my lips, and my fingers find their way into his hair, holding him closer.
He alternates between my breasts, giving equal attention to each. The sensations are overwhelming, a delicious mixture of pleasure and need. Micah's hands explore every curve, every inch of my body, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. His mouth finds mine again, claiming it in a deep, passionate kiss.
I can feel the urgency in his movements, the raw desire that mirrors my own. I completely surrender to him as he flips me over with a swift, yet gentle movement. Now, he's on top, his powerful thighs framing me. The weight of his body adds a thrilling sense of dominance, and I can feel the heat emanating from both of us, creating a cocoon of desire.
His hands move with purpose, tracing the sides of my body as he lowers himself to continue his exploration. His lips leave a trail of searing kisses between the valley of my breasts, over my ribs and swirls his tongue around my belly button. With every tender touch, my skin tingles, and I writhe beneath him, unable to contain the waves of need that wash over me.
Finally, Micah's fingers find the waistband of my pants. In a deliberate motion, he unbuttons and unzips, peeling the fabric away. The cool rush of air against my exposed skin heightens my awareness, making every nerve ending come alive.
His kisses follow the path of his hands, moving from the small of my waist down to the curve of my hips. He takes his time, savoring the journey, and I'm left breathless, my body putty beneath him. The contrast between the tender caresses and the dark possession in his eyes creates a delicious tension.
My heart races as he moves lower, leaving hot kisses along the inside of my thighs. His hands guide my legs apart, and I feel his warm breath teasing the sensitive skin between them. The anticipation builds, and then his lips finally meet that intimate space. He rips away my underwear with his teeth and a gasp escapes my lips.
Then, he is kissing me where no man but him has ever been. His movements are unhurried, deliberate, as he explores the depths of my desire. His tongue traces patterns that send shivers through me, and my fingers clench the sheets as pleasure courses through my veins. Every sensation is magnified, and I lose myself in the heady mix of ecstasy and vulnerability.
“Micah!” I scream out his name. My words come out in the form of needy pleas and breathy moans.
I want him so bad that it’s painful.
Just when he has teased and touched me with his velvety tongue to my breaking point, he rises up, unbuckles his pants and thrusts into me.
A scream tears from my throat, the pleasure so acute that it's almost overwhelming. The connection deepens, and every fiber of my being resonates with the rhythmic dance of our bodies. His movements are both powerful and tender, a fusion of passion that drives us toward the precipice of ecstasy.
His name becomes a litany on my lips, each utterance comes out like a prayer. I cling to him, my nails digging into his back as the pleasure intensifies. As the waves of pleasure threaten to consume us, Micah's movements become more urgent, more primal. Just when we are at the height of our pleasure, Micah sinks his teeth into my neck.
A mix of delicious pain and pleasure pour over me and just like that the mate bond comes back to life. My wolf howls and I can feel the pleasure of Micah’s beast as well. The sensation is so overwhelming that tears fall from my eyes from the intensity of it all.
The tension in the room reaches its peak, and then, with a final, powerful thrust, we plummet into the abyss, finding our release together.

The room is bathed in a quiet afterglow as we lie entwined, our bodies pressed close. Micah's arms cradle me protectively, and his fingers trail gently through my hair. A sense of vulnerability washes over me,
I feel completely raw and exposed. Body and soul.
I'm on the edge of consciousness, the weight of sleep tugging at my eyelids, but there's something I need to say—words that have been imprisoned in the depths of my heart for three long years.
"Do you really love me?" The question slips out, escaping the confines of my thoughts, and hangs in the air.
Micah gives me a teasing smile. He leans in, placing a soft kiss on the corner of my mouth.
"What do you think?" he replies, his voice a gentle murmur against my skin.
Then, he bends to kiss my throat and speaks into the curve of my neck, "Of course, I love you, Fiona. You mean everything to me."
The words escape before I can hold them back.
"Then, why did you leave me to die three years ago?"
Micah's hand, which had been stroking my hair, withdraws as if stung. He looks at me, his eyes wide with surprise, and a knot of tension forms in the pit of my stomach.
"What are you talking about?" he retorts, his voice laced with confusion.
Tears fall from my eyes as I recount the events of that horrifying night three years ago. How Leah had kidnapped me, bound me in that cold, desolate warehouse. The way she had taunted me, making a show of calling Micah and telling him I was in danger. The heart-wrenching moment when I realized he had chosen Rowena over me, leaving me to face the flames alone.
As I speak, Micah's expression transforms from confusion to shock, then to a simmering fury.
"Leah set the warehouse on fire and left me there to die," I confess, my voice choked with the weight of the memory. "I fought for my life, Micah. But it was clear you didn't want me in yours."
A haunted expression crosses his face as he takes in my words.
I try to wipe away my tears but more fall.
"That night shattered me, Micah. I thought I meant nothing to you but now … Now, I am not so sure. Why does it feel like you love me now, after everything that happened?"
Micah looks utterly devastated.
"Fiona, you have to believe me. You are the only woman I've ever loved," he begins, his voice raw with emotion.
"Three years ago, when I left for that meeting, I started getting prank calls about you being kidnapped. That's when I installed all the security equipment, thinking it was some sick joke." He pauses, his eyes searching mine for understanding and instantly, I remember how he rushed home making sure I was okay.
"At the same time, Rowena got kidnapped, and her father, Wilson, pleaded for my help. I went there to save her out of obligation, not knowing about what was happening at all. I thought that phone call was fake, Fiona. I didn't know you were really in danger. I didn’t know the equipment had been tampered with." The anguish in his voice is palpable.
His trembling hands finger the leather locket around his neck. Only now, can I clearly make out what’s on it. It is a familiar wedding ring – mine.
"I found this with a letter when I came home. The letter said you were leaving because you no longer loved me." His words hang heavy in the air, and the pain etched across his face mirrors the agony in my heart.
"I've never taken it off since the day I put it on. I've worn it every day, hoping that one day I would put it back on your finger where it belongs," he confesses, his grip on the necklace tightening.
A surge of anger courses through me, not directed at him, but at the people who orchestrated our pain.
"Rowena and Leah set us up," I say slowly, the realization cutting through the haze of confusion.
"They wanted to tear us apart, and they succeeded."
My voice comes out broken, thinking about the three years we lost, misunderstanding each other, in pain.
Three years Micah spent without his daughter.
Micah's eyes flare with dangerous retribution.
"They're going to pay for what they've done, I promise you that.”
I believe him.
Everything feels so intense. My emotions are everywhere. I feel like I'm on the verge of something. Like I am falling. Like the physical and mental sensations of the day are just too much to handle.
I open my mouth to tell him to put the ring back on my finger when intense pain hits me like a whip on the back.
A scream comes out of my mouth as my body contorts and I arch from the bed. My eyes roll back, my bones break and reform, my eyes turn golden. Sharp claws extend from my hands, fangs protrude from my lips, my senses sharpen and the world changes color.
And then, for the first time in my entire life, I completely change into my wolf.
