Chapter 59: BETWEEN TRUTH AND PAIN

Love And Reverence Ii

After Amber writhed beneath him, exhausted and trembling, Ethan stripped off his clothes with animal fury, tearing them away as if they burned his skin. His erection sprang free, hard and demanding, while she watched him flushed, her legs still weak from the previous orgasm.

He grabbed her by the hips and decisively turned her, positioning her on all fours on the bed. Amber gasped; her long hair fell in disarray over her shoulders, marked by the intensity of what had just happened. Ethan didn’t care; his eyes burned with raw need.

Before taking her, he delivered a couple of firm slaps to her ass that echoed through the room, leaving red marks on her skin. She shuddered, arching her back.

“Damn it, Amber, tell me you’re mine.”

“I’m yours, Ethan… more than yours… put it in, please! Put it in!” she screamed, desperate.

Without thinking twice, he closed his eyes and thrust into her in a single stroke, making her jump. His thrusts were wild and deep; Amber’s breasts swayed with every impact, and she moved almost breathlessly, pushing back to meet him. Ethan held her tightly, his hips slamming against hers in an impulsive rhythm, while his hands roamed her ass, slid up to her breasts, and squeezed them mercilessly.

Amber felt she couldn’t hold herself up any longer, but he seemed inexhaustible, moving relentlessly behind her.

“Ethan, fuck… you’re driving me crazy.”

“Do you want to come again, my little slut?”

“Of course I do… yes, damn it… yes!” Amber cried, rocking her hips frantically, crashing back against him.

That was too much for Ethan; her contractions tightened around his shaft, and his hot semen spilled inside her as he growled her name and kissed her sweaty back. Amber collapsed onto the bed, closing her eyes, her mind blank, with only the echo of pleasure reverberating through her body. Ethan dropped beside her, stroking her forehead and brushing aside damp strands of hair.

“I want to have a child with you, Amber.”

Those words made her sit up abruptly. Since losing her pregnancy, the idea of a child had become an almost insurmountable fear, tinged with rage and helplessness.

“I already told you, Ethan… right now I don’t feel ready.”

He smiled with nostalgia, a bitter gesture.

“I’m sorry. Sometimes I’m a damn selfish man who doesn’t think about what you really want.”

Amber felt guilty and hugged him, burying her face in his chest.

“It’s just that right now…”

“Don’t worry, beautiful. And tell me, do you start classes on Monday?”

“Yes, Monday. Just the idea of going to college excites me. I want to be useful, help my little siblings get ahead, and of course, get a job to help you with expenses.”

Ethan listened only halfway; he had different plans for her, but he admired that determination, that strength to push forward despite everything. He smiled at her—genuinely this time.

“I’ll be with you in everything you need, beautiful. But for now, there’s something I have to tell you,” he said, more relaxed, and she frowned.

“What is it?”

He pounced on her, pinning her with his body, his heaving chest brushing against hers. Amber gasped.

“That I’m going to make you mine again.”

This time Ethan kissed her with fury, his tongue invading her mouth as if he wanted to devour her. He moved down her neck, attacking her sensitive nipples with bites and sucks that made her arch. With force, he lifted one of her legs and draped it over his shoulder, positioning her on her side.

He penetrated her like that, moving savagely; the sound of their bodies colliding filled the room. As he thrust, his fingers traced precise circles over her clitoris, making her writhe.

“Damn it, Amber… you’re the only thing I want in my life. I’m obsessed with you,” he repeated between growls, taking her without pause.

Amber came again, and again, and again, until both of them, exhausted, fell asleep tangled in the sheets.

Monday morning.

Amber was getting ready in the bathroom, adjusting her clothes with nervous but excited hands. Ethan, already dressed and ready, entered the room with a cup of coffee in his hand.

“I’ll drop you off at the door myself,” he said, watching her with that possessive protectiveness that always made her feel safe, though sometimes suffocated.

“It’s not necessary, Ethan. I can go alone, really.”

He shook his head, serious.

“With things the way they are, I’ll protect you. I’ll see you downstairs in the living room.”

She nodded, finishing her hair. As Ethan went down the stairs, he pulled out his phone and dialed his mother’s number for the tenth time. Busy again. He cursed under his breath, his pulse quickening.

From the balcony, Amber saw him and hurried downstairs. She found him pacing restlessly in the living room.

“It’s not necessary for you to take me. You have to trust that I can take care of myself.”

He stopped, looked at her intently, and took her chin, forcing her to meet his eyes.

“Even if I can’t take you personally because I have to make sure Elena is all right… Donovan will take you. No arguments.”

Amber sighed, but accepted it. Ethan kissed her briefly—a kiss heavy with worry—and ran out to his car. As he pulled away, he dialed Ainara’s number. Switched off. A dark premonition ran down his spine, like a shadow looming over everything he had built. What the hell was happening with Elena?
