The DNA Results
THE NEXT MORNING
“Elena we are getting late, the appointment is 10:00,” Harrison screamed.
“Calm down guy’s, I’m getting my make-up done,” Elena replied.
“Really, what of it came out negative?”
Harrison asked.
“No big deal, we will still adopt Ava, yep, I’m here,” Elena replied.
“Wow, you are looking beautiful oMa.”
Ava said.
“Thanks, baby,” Elena replied.
“I’m scared dada, I don’t want to leave you,” Ava said.
“Don’t worry Ava, just stay positive, even if the test shows negative, you will still remain my daughter okay.”
Harrison replied.
“Okay, I’m strong.” Ava chuckled showing them her jaws.
They entered the car and zoom off to the city hospital.
CITY HOSPITAL.
Harrison's car stopped and they hop down the car, Elena held Ava’s hand firmly and they saw Sara.
“Hey Sara, good morning.” Elena greeted.
“Nothing good about the morning, don’t bother asking,” Sara replied.
“Maybe you are already scared of the results, don’t mind, we won’t be too harsh on you.” Harrison chuckled.
“Hey, Mama.” Ava waved.
“Hold that hey to your self little witch.”
Sara replied.
“I told you to stop insulting my girl huh?”
Harrison asked.
“Whatever,” Sara replied.
“Good day Mr Harrison MCCALLS, your arrangements have been done and is time for you to see doctor Jayden.”
A nurse announced.
“Thanks, nurse,” Harrison replied.
The nurse turns to leave.
“Excuse me, weren’t you the lady from yesterday?” The nurse asked.
“Sara? You came here yesterday, what for?” Harrison asked.
“I’m sure she is mistaken, this is the first time ever in my life that I come to this hospital,” Sara answered immediately.
“I’m very good at remembering things, I’m sure is what I saw yesterday, you wanted to meet doctor Jayden.” The nurse insisted.
“Woah, I told you, I have never been to this hospital, maybe your age is affecting your skull,” Sara said.
“Just let her be nurse, Thanks for the information,” Elena said with a smile.
“Okay, take care little girl, what’s your name?” The nurse asked.
“I’m Ava,” Ava replied.
“You have a nice name sweetheart, take care.” The nurse said and left.
Sara sighed.
“So, can you explain yourself now? What the heck brought you to the hospital yesterday, wait, you wanted to convince the doctor to change the results huh?”
Harrison asked raising his eyebrows.
“I have no answer for that okay, and don’t ask me,” Sara said.
“But... ”
“Is okay Harrison, let’s not keep the doctor waiting.”
Elena cut him off.
They entered the doctor’s office.
“Hey doctor Jayden, I’m Harrison McCalls and this is my wife Elena, and the little Angel is Ava,” Harrison said.
“Nice to meet you, Mr Harrison, I just say that I’m a huge fan of your business.”
Doctor Jayden said.
“Thanks, that means a lot.” Harrison smiled.
“You welcome, hmm, miss Sara right?”
Doc Jayden asked.
“You know each other?” Harrison asked.
“I guess so.” Doctor Jayden replied.
“Okay, take this paper to the lab, they will conduct a DNA test for you.” Doc Jayden said.
“Thanks, we will see you later,” Harrison said and they headed to the laboratory.
1 HOUR LATER.
“I’m hungry aunt Lena.” Ava pouted.
“Ava, you ate biscuits and snacks, and I’ve cream, you are such a foodie.” Elena teased.
“You won’t understand Oma, they fetch my blood, I’m feeling like dying,” Ava exclaimed.
“Dying, with your big stomach,” Elena said and pull her nose.
Ava laughed.
“Everything will change after the DNA results are out, is either I learn to accept that you are Harrison's first child which is very okay, or you are not, I know I’m supposed to be happy, but I can never be happy without Ava now, I don’t know if I should pray for the results to be negative or positive.” Elena thought.
“The results are out ma.” A nurse announced.
Elena's heartbeat increased, and she look at Ava.
“Are you scared of losing me, Oma?”
Ava asked.
“I’m not scared, because I know I won’t lose you,” Elena replied.
“Let’s go,” Harrison said
Sara, Elena, Ava, and Harrison walked inside the doctor's office.
But unlike in the morning, he looks different, moody, and worried, he didn’t even acknowledge their presence.
“Doctor Jayden!!.” Harrison called loudly jotting him out of his thoughts.
“Oh sorry,” doctor Jayden said.
“You don’t look good, are you okay?”
Harrison asked.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” Doctor Jayden replied.
“But you are sweating, the fans are on, the AC too, and the weather is also very cold,” Harrison said.
Sara closed her eyes thinking she will be exposed since doctor Jayden rejected her request.
“Don’t mind I’m fine, your DNA results show that... ” he paused.
Sara and Elena closed their eyes, while the doctor stare out the window.
“We are waiting doctor,” Harrison said.
“Uhmm, the test results show positive, meaning you are the biological father of Ava.” The doctor announced.
Elena opened her eyes happily and hugged Ava.
“I told you, now we will never be separated,” Elena said.
Sara was surprised.
“Does it mean that doctor Jayden changes his mind and is ready to accept my offer, or something is more than this? Ava is not his child then how comes.”
Sara asked herself.
“Are you sure that’s the legit results?”
Harrison asked.
“Sure, yes, I’m sure.” He stammered.
“Okay, not bad, now you are officially my daughter Ava,” Harrison said.
“Yes dada, I’m so excited,” Harrison said even though he felt something went wrong, Ava can’t be my child, but he still doesn’t want to hurt Ava and Elena, they seem excited.
Ava peaked his cheeks.
Harrison forced a smile.
“I told you right, I can’t lie because I was once your girlfriend, I’m not that desperate.” Sara bragged.
“Just make sure you have nothing to do with this, else you won’t find it funny.”
Harrison replied.
“Oh wow, if you don’t want to keep Ava, is cool, I can take care of my daughter.”
Sara rolled her eyes.
“Let’s go, Ava,” Harrison said and carried Ava up, they left with Elena.
