Chapter 52: JUST HOPE BRUNO DIDN'T HEAR.

I JUST HOPE BRUNO DIDN'T HEAR.

“Camilla!” Alex said, his voice low and husky. “I have been waiting for you.”

Camilla stood in the doorway, her eyes narrowing as she took in the sight of Alex sitting on her bed.

She felt a surge of unease and anger, and she took a step forward, her voice firm.

"What were you doing in my room?" she demanded, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

Alex looked up at her, a lazy smile spreading across his face.

He stood up from the bed, his movements fluid and confident, and walked straight to where Camilla was standing.

As he approached her, Camilla felt a shiver run down her spine.

There was something about Alex that made her feel uneasy, something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Alex stopped in front of her, his eyes locked on hers.

He reached out a hand and gently brushed a strand of hair from her eyes, his touch sending a spark of electricity through her body.

"I just came to check on my crush," he said, his voice low and husky.

Camilla felt a surge of anger and embarrassment.

"Stay away from me," she spat, trying to push past him.

But Alex didn't budge.

Instead, he leaned in closer, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Even if you don't agree, we're already in this," he said, his voice dripping with confidence.

"We're already in a secret relationship, Camilla. Whether you like it or not."

Camilla's eyes widened in shock and outrage.

"You're lying," she said, her voice firm.

But Alex just smiled, his eyes glinting with triumph.

"Am I?" he said, his voice low and husky. "Or are you just trying to convince yourself that it's not true?"

Camilla felt a surge of anger and frustration.

She knew that she had to get away from Alex, to get out of this situation before it was too late.

She turned to leave, but Alex caught her arm, his grip like a vice.

"Don't go," he said, his voice low and husky. "We're just getting started."

Camilla felt a shiver run down her spine.

She knew that she had to get away from Alex, no matter what it took.

She tried to shake off his grip, but he held tight, his eyes glinting with determination.

Alex took a step forward, and with a smile on his face, he leaned in close to Camilla.

He pecked her cheek gently, his lips brushing against her skin.

"I love you," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Camilla's eyes widened in shock, and she felt a flush rise to her cheeks. She tried to push Alex away, but he was too quick.

He turned and walked out of the room, leaving Camilla feeling stunned and confused.

Bruno stood outside, watching Alex and Camilla through the window.

He had brought Camilla's script, which she had forgotten in the car, and was about to enter the room when he saw Alex and Camilla engaged in a heated conversation.

As he watched, his eyes widened in shock.

What was going on?

He had no idea that Alex and Camilla were even close, let alone having some kind of romantic entanglement.

Bruno's mind was racing as he listened to their conversation.

He heard Alex declare his love for Camilla and saw the look of shock and confusion on her face.

As Alex turned to leave, Bruno quickly hid behind a nearby pillar, holding his breath as Alex walked out of the room.

He didn't want to be seen, didn't want Alex and Camilla to know that he had witnessed their intimate moment.

Bruno's heart was pounding as he peeked around the pillar, watching as Alex disappeared from view.

He let out a sigh of relief, grateful that he had avoided detection.

But as he stood there, trying to process what he had just seen and heard, Bruno couldn't shake the feeling that he had stumbled into something much bigger than himself.

Something that could potentially blow up in everyone's faces.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts.

He needed to get out of there, to find a safe place to process everything he had just witnessed.

And he needed to do it without being seen.

But before he leaves, he needs to give Camilla her script.

Bruno let out a heavy sigh and mustered up the courage to walk into Camilla's room.

He straightened his back, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"Who is that?" Camilla's voice called out from inside the room.

"I-I am the one, madam," Bruno stammered, trying to sound confident. "I am here... I am the one, madam."

Camilla's voice was firm but polite.

"Come inside, Bruno."

Bruno pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room nervously.

Camilla was standing by the window, her arms crossed and a look of expectation on her face.

"What are you doing here, Bruno?" she asked, her voice firm.

"I thought I told you to leave the hotel immediately after dropping off my luggage."

Bruno shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting around the room.

"As I was trying to prepare to go, I saw the script that you needed, madam," he said, holding out the script. "I thought I'd bring it to you."

Camilla's expression softened, and she walked over to Bruno, taking the script from him.

"Oh, my God, thank you," she said, relief written all over her face. "This is exactly what I needed. You can take your leave, Bradon."

Bradon smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.

"You're welcome, madam," he said, turning to leave. "Don't mention it, madam," he added, as he walked out of the room.

As the door closed behind Bruno, Camilla felt a pang of worry.

She hoped that Bruno hadn't overheard her conversation with Alex.

She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, and she couldn't help but wonder if Bradon had seen or heard something he shouldn't have.

“I just hope Bruno didn't hear anything,” Camilla muttered, collapsing on her bed.
