Chapter 45: WHAT SORT OF QUESTION IS THIS?

WHAT SORT OF QUESTION IS THIS?

“Who gave Alex my number?” Camilla asked herself.

But she hasn't even finished her statement when Alex texts her back.

Alex: Why are you just viewing my message without replying?

“Hmm” Camilla sighed heavily after reading the message.

She was just too curious to know the person that gave Alex her number.

But then another message popped in.

Alex: Stop snubbing my message, replycrying emoji

Camilla: Where the hell did you get my number from?

Alex: Finally you replied to my message.

Camilla: Shut up your fuckin mouth and answer my question.

Alex: I asked Samantha and she gave me.

The moment Camilla saw Alex's reply, she clenched her fist, trying her best to calm herself down.

“Why would Samantha give……” Camilla said but she was unable to complete her sentence when another message popped in.

Alex: So tell me what's your reply concerning the secret relationship I told you about?

Camilla: My answer is No, Samantha likes you should go for her.

Alex: It's you that I like, give me a chance you won't regret it I promise.

Camilla: Fuck off, I am married and you know that. .

Alex: I know why you are scared to give me a reply, don't worry your husband won't find out about us.

Camilla was about to type another message when she felt a Caesar wrapping his arms on her waist.

She quickly switched her phone off, staring up to Caesar.

“Hey babe, are you set to leave?” Camilla asked, a fake smile playing on her lips.

“Yes I am, by the way who were you chatting with that you didn't know when I arrived in the kitchen, I even called your name but you didn't reply” Caesar replied.

“You called my name?” Camilla asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes I did,” Caesar replied.

“I'm sorry, I didn't know that you were around,” Camilla said.

“You still haven't answered my question, who were you chatting with that you made me so carried away with,” Caesar replied.

“Oh…it's…Samantha,” Camilla stammered.

“Okay, I will take my leave now,” Caesar said.

“Let me escort you,” Camilla replied, walking out of the kitchen with Caesar.

The both of them made their way to the compound where Caesar's car was parked.

Camilla embraced Caesar tightly.

“I would miss you so much,” She said.

“Oh, come on, I will just be away for two days, so you don't have to” Caesar replied.

“I feel like you are leaving for two years,” Camilla said.

“I already told you that you should spend your weekend with Samantha so that you won't be bored,” Caesar replied.

“Sure I will, send my regards to Grandma Agnes” Camilla said.

“Okay” Caesar replied, pecking Camilla's lips before sliding into the backseat.

The driver started the engine and zoomed out of the compound while Camilla stood still, waving to Caesar.

When Caesar was out of sight she turned back and walked into the house.

Her mind raced with different thoughts.

“I hope Caesar didn't see my chat with Alex” she thought.

After the working hours, Caesar drove straight to Grandma Agnes estate.

After horning for some minutes the gateman finally opened the gate and he drove into the compound.

Caesar pulled up in front of the mansion before stepping out of his car.

He made his way silently into the mansion but then he met a maid waiting for him.

“Good day sir, Grandma Agnes and the others are waiting anxiously for you in the dining room” The maid said.

“Oh okay,” Caesar replied.

“I was told to lead you into the dining room,” the maid said.

“No problem,” Caesar replied, following the maids to the dining room.

The moment he arrived there, he saw Grandma Agnes, Axia and Yvanka sitting on the chairs in the dining room.

Axia's face lit up with joy when she saw Caesar and she quickly rushed to meet him, embracing him tightly.

“We have been waiting for an hour now, what kept you so long?” Axia asked.

“I was busy in the office so please don't blame me,” Caesar replied.

Axia turned to the maids that led Caesar into the dining room.

“Make sure you go to Caesar's car and carry his luggages into his room” Axia ordered.

“Okay ma’am” the maid said, bowing her head slightly before walking away.

Axia pulled out a chair for Caesar, gesturing to him to have his seat.

“Thanks,” Caesar said after settling on the chair.

“How have you been, Yvanka? You didn't even bother greeting me” Caesar added, staring at Yvanka.

“Oh please, you abandon us because you're now married and you expect me to greet you” Yvanka replied, rolling her eyes.

“I didn't abandon you” Caesar said.

“We are not here for that let us eat our food peacefully and then start the family meeting” Grandma Agnes replied.

“Family meeting? I thought we were here to have dinner, talk and share memories” Caesar said.

“Didn't Axia tell you that you were here for something important?” Grandma Agnes asked.

“She told me, but what did you want to tell me Grandma, I am getting anxious” Caesar replied.

“Dish out your food and eat first,” Grandma Agnes said.

“Okay then” Caesar replied, dishing out his food onto a plate.

They all started eating silently and the only sound that could be heard was the sound of cutleries hitting fine china plates.

While Caesar ate, he couldn't stop thinking about what Grandma Agnes wanted to tell him.

But then, Grandma Agnes broke the silence between them.

“Caesar!” She called.

“Yes grandma,” Caesar said.

“How’s Camilla doing?” Grandma Agnes asked.

Caesar stared at her with great surprise; he just couldn't believe that his grandma was asking for his wife after she told him not to bring her over to the estate.

“I thought you never liked her, why are you asking about her all of a sudden?” Caesar asked.

“Don't answer me with a question” Grandma Agnes snapped.

“Anyways, she's fine,” Caesar said.

“When is she giving me a grandchild?” Grandma Agnes dropped the bombshell.

“What sort of question is this?” Caesar asked.
