Chapter 44: WHO GAVE ALEX MY NUMBER?

WHO GAVE ALEX MY NUMBER?

Camilla opened her eyes gently, feeling stronger and better.

She took a glance at the wall clock in her bedroom and discovered that it was already 6AM in the morning.

She stared at Caesar who was still fast asleep.

Today happens to be Saturday, indicating that the weekend just started and Caesar will be moving to Madam Agnes's estate.

She removed the duvet that she used to cover her body and made her way to the kitchen.

She started making breakfast for her husband, and the mouthwatering aroma of the food she was preparing wafted around the kitchen.

At exactly 7AM she was already done with cooking so she dished out the food into a plate before placing it on a tray.

She then made her way back to the bedroom where she met Caesar still sleeping.

“This man,” she said, bursting into laughter.

She sat next to Caesar on the bed, gently tapping his hand.

“Wake up” Camilla said and Caesar's eyes flipped open immediately.

“Fuck, I woked up very late, isn't it?” Caesar asked.

“It's just 7am, so do the calms” Camilla replied.

“I resume work at 9am during weekends so please allow me to sleep more,” Caesar said.

“No, you need to get up and start preparing for work, the earlier the better” Camilla replied.

Caesar sat up on the bed, his eyes landing on the tray of food that Camilla placed on the table.

“Is that for me?” He asked, smiling.

“Yes,” Camilla replied.

“Let me have it, I am famished and tired at the same time” Ceaser said.

“Won't you at least have your bath first?” Camilla asked.

“Isn't the food breakfast on bed” Caesar replied.

“Yes it is,” Camilla said, handing the plate of food to Caesar.

Caesar was taken aback when he saw the mouthwatering food that Camilla prepared for him.

“You cooked all of this just this morning,” Caesar asked.

“Yeah, dig in” Camilla replied as she watched how Caesar ate the food she prepared.

She was glad that he loved it.

Minutes later, Caesar finished eating the food and Camilla placed the empty plate on the table near the bedside.

“Your face looks so weak, can't you postpone the family dinner till next weekend” Camilla asked, concern etched on her face.

“Axia won't let me rest this weekend, according to her, she said the dinner is very important” Caesar replied.

“Remember your health comes first,” Camilla said.

“Don't worry about me, I will be fine,” Caesar replied.

“You need rest, call Axia and tell her you can't come over this weekend” Camilla said.

“Do you think she would allow me?” Caesar replied.

“Call her first” Camilla said and Caesar picked up his phone and dialed Axia's number.

Fortunately she picked up immediately.

“Hi Axia,” Caesar said.

“Good morning, I hope you didn't forget about spending the weekend in Grandma's estate, I don't want to hear any excuse, we would be expecting you” Axia replied, from the end of the line.

Caesar cut the call immediately without replying to Axia.

“I said it,” he said.

“She didn't even want to hear anything you have to say,” Camilla replied.

“That's Axia for you,” Caesar said.

“Anyways, make sure you take good care of yourself, okay?” Camilla replied.

“Okay baby, thanks for the food,” Caesar said.

“Don't mention it,” Camilla replied.

“I need to start preparing for work,” Caesar said.

“While you were sleeping I helped you to arrange all your clothes into your bag, so you just need to have your bath, wear your clothes and leave for work” Camilla replied.

“Wow, you are such a darling, thanks” Caesar said.

“Bye for now, start preparing” Camilla replied, walking out of the room.

She made her way to the kitchen and placed the plates of food that Caesar used to eat into the zinc.

She was washing the plates when her phone buzzed with a message.

She thought the message was from the entertainment industry, she has been expecting the location of the hotel she will be relocating to since yesterday but she hasn't got any information about it.

After wiping her hand with the towel she removed her phone but then she was surprised to see Alex’s message.

The message reads;

HEY BABE, GOOD MORNING, IT'S ME ALEX.

Camilla hissed to the message angrily before placing her phone back into her pocket.

She continued washing the dishes silently.

She was ready to do anything to create distance between her and Alex.

She still felt very guilty for allowing him to kiss her forcefully and now he was still sending her some messages.

“He’s so annoying, I don't even know why Samantha is still crushing on him,” Camilla said to herself.

But then her phone buzzed again and she removed it from her pocket again taking a glance at the screen.

It's another message from Alex.

Alex: When are you going to give me a reply concerning the secret relationship I asked you for.

Camilla's eyes blazed with anger as she read the message.

There's no way she would be saying yes to Alex.

She can never cheat on Caesar, not when she had already fallen in love with him.

“Can’t this guy just leave me alone?” She spat, placing the phone on the island in the kitchen.

But then another message popped in from Alex.

Alex: You don't have to worry about your husband, he won't find out about us.

Camilla stared at the message again with anger.

She had already made up her mind not to ever reply to him.

But she got frustrated when Alex kept on sending more messages.

Camilla ran a hand on her hair staring at all the messages Alex sent to her.

“So painful that he is jobless,” she said.

But then her mind swirled with a lot of questions, she had never given any of the staff in the entertainment industry her number.

Samantha is the only person that has her number.

“Come to think of it,” Camilla said.

“Who gave Alex my number?” She asked herself.
