Chapter 43: LISA'S HIDDEN PLAN

LISA'S HIDDEN PLAN

“Hmm,” Caesar sighed heavily.

“Come on, talk; I want to know your answer,” Camilla said.

“I would allow you since it's your career; I don't want to stop you from pursuing your career,” Caesar replied.

“Wow, are you for real?” Camilla asked, her face lit up with joy.

“Yes, I am,” Caesar replied.

“I will be away for three months, but I promise to visit you at home during weekends,” Camilla said.

“So you just asked the question at first to see my reaction, didn't you?” Caesar replied.

“Yes, I was thinking you wouldn't allow me,” Camilla said.

“Oh, I can't do that,” Caesar replied.

“Thank you so much; I love you,” Camilla said, hugging Caesar.

“Don't mention it; I also want to tell you something,” Caesar replied.

“What's that?” Camilla asked, breaking the hug.

“I would be spending my weekends in Grandma Agnes's estate,” Caesar replied.

“I want to follow you; I hope Eric and Morgan are not coming,” Camilla said.

“No, they are not,” Caesar replied.

“We would go together and spend the weekend there, but we have to come back very early on Sunday, so I can start preparing to relocate to the hotel that the company has booked for me,” Camilla said.

“But Camilla, there's a problem,” Caesar replied.

“Problem? I don't understand what you mean by  that." Camilla said.

“I'm afraid that you won't be following me?” Caesar replied.

“What! Why?” Camilla asked.

“It's a family dinner,”Caesar replied.

“And so, I'm your wife, so that makes me part of your family,” Camilla said.

“Granny said you shouldn't follow me; she wants to talk to me alone,” Caesar replied.

A small smile appeared on Camilla's lips.

“No problem, I would stay at home alone,” she said.

“I hope you won't be bored; I was thinking you should spend the weekend in Samantha's house,” Caesar replied.

“How am I supposed to know that she's going to be around during weekends?” Camilla said.

“Text her or call her to tell you if she's around,” Caesar replied.

“Hmm, okay. When are you leaving?” Camilla asked.

“Tomorrow morning, I will first do some work in my company, then drive to Grandma Agnes's estate in the afternoon,” Caesar replied.

“Okay then, make sure you take good care of yourself,” Camilla said.

“Sure, I will,” Caesar replied, but then he noticed Camilla's change in expression; she doesn't look happy like before.

“Come on Camilla, are you not happy about me spending the weekend in Grandma Agnes's estate?” He asked.

“Isn't it obvious that your family members don't like me, especially your sisters?” Camilla replied.

“They like you, Camilla; don't talk like that,” Caesar said.

“Stop lying to me. I am not a kid; I know what's happening. They don't want me to join the family's dinner because they haven't considered me as being part of the family,” Camilla replied, her eyes welling up with tears.

“With time they would like you, the reason why they are behaving like that is because they are just meeting you” Caesar said.

“Are you sure?” Camilla asked.

“Yes, I am,” Caesar replied.

“Okay then,” Camilla said.

“Bruno will be driving you around, and he will also stay with you as your bodyguard throughout the three months you will be using in the hotel,” Caesar replied.

“Is that really necessary?” Camilla asked.

“Yes, it is, and also I would be visiting you once in a while,” Caesar replied.

“No problem; thanks for giving me a chance to pursue my career,” Camilla said.

“You're welcome,” Caesar replied.

“Goodnight, I need to sleep now,” Camilla said, covering herself with the duvet.

Lisa pulled up in front of a thick forest.

She removed her phone from her pocket, dialling a number.

“Hey, I am waiting for you; show your face,” she said, ending the call without waiting for the reply.

She removed a stick of cigarettes and started smoking while she was waiting.

A few moments later, a man walked out of the thick forest, making his way to Lisa's car.

He opened the door and sat on the passenger's seat.

“You kept me waiting,” Lisa complained, throwing the cigarette stick out of the car.

“You know I am a very busy type; whatever you want to tell me, say it and make it snappy,” the man said.

Without a word, Lisa opened her bag, removing a picture from it before handing it over to the man.

The man looked at the picture for a while before turning his gaze to Lisa.

“I'm still not changing my mind on what I said earlier,” the man said.

“We can share the money 50/50; I am the owner of the job,” Lisa replied.

“But you are not the one doing it; I am the one that would perform the job,” the man said.

“Let us share the money 60/40,” Lisa replied.

“No way, I think you should take the job somewhere else then.” The man said.

“Fine, I agree that we should share the money 50/50.” Lisa replied.

“Now you are talking,” the man said.

“I want a neat work, no traces, okay?” Lisa replied.

“Trust me,” the man said.

“And again, make sure we make a lot of money from the picture,” Lisa replied.

“That's if the lady in question is rich.” The man said.

“Yes, she's very rich. Make sure you don't replace the picture; it's very important to me,” Lisa replied.

“I need to leave now,” the man said, stepping out of the car.

Lisa watched him till he entered the forest.

“I will still have to tell Axia about the picture, but first, I need to make money with it,” Lisa said, starting the car's engine before zooming off.

As she sped down the highway, Lisa couldn't help but feel super excited; her life was going to be turning around in a few months just because of the picture.

She felt happy and fulfilled because soon she knew that she would be buying her first house with the money she made.

“Before revealing the secret, I would use it to make a lot of money” She said to herself, happily.
