I have been preparing for this day my entire life.. My whole life. Fine! I know that I would never be able to choose whatever I want by myself because of the kind of life I'm living - Poor background, wretched condition..i've just been managing to survive... but I didn't know being not able to make a choice would affect me also considering on who to marry or when.

My father would always say that a man should decide who he wants to spend the rest of his life with when he's already not the other way round.. but it's definitely not true, we ladies can make decisions too..

Ugh.. sad.

It's sad because he doesn't even care about my feelings and he thinks whatever he says or whatever action he takes is the best for me. But it's not but I have no other option than to grant his request.. I've always been heeding to advice and he never failed me, he never led me astray but this time, looks like he's intentionally but innocently leading me astray.

He wants me to marry a freaking old man! Because of money.

He is literally selling me off to a rich Old man.

True Money is everything but has it gotten to this stage? Just because we're poor, average I mean.. but we are still poor, I don't want to deny that sad fact.

Dad and I live alone in a old small house... Our environment is almost looking like a codemn village.

I guess this is one of the reasons why he wants me to marry one rich Old man who says he is ready to take care of Dad, his health, get him a good house and good work.

Sad thing, this old man we are talking about is way older than Dad.

I've been trying to fight back my tears but I just couldn't hold it anymore. I let it flow freely down my cheeks.

I'm getting married to someone who is older than my Dad, Someone who is old enough to be my grandfather..

I miss those days when my mom was alive, she was such an hardworking woman.. she had a petty but manageable job which she used to support the family. Because of her, I was able to complete high school and we were both working hard so that there would be enough fund for me to further my education into the College.

Dad supported her in his own little way until death took her away.

Assuming mom was alive, i won't be getting married to that shameless old man whose shameless name is Maya, Mr Maya.

I haven't accepted to marry him yet but Dad is ready to sell me out especially when he recieved a tip of $50 dollar from the man who is definitely old to be his own father too.

Everything's just annoying and frustrating... That I ran out of the house that particular day I heard about the marriage stuff.

Janet, my bossom friend lives few distance away from my house. Her house is an exact opposite of where I live, I guess where she stays is a what we should refer to as a comfort zone while where I live, is just a roof to lay my head under.

It's funny how Janet and I are very close friends even when our financial background differs. Janet is from a very wealthy family and she's trying all her best to help me.. She steals foods from her home to give it to me, she has helped me out with Money and she gave me her old clothes which I still find new and fine. Unfortunately, her parents dislikes me... for the kind of girl I am.
