CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT

CHELSEA POV.

"It's not mine, for heaven sake, I'm not the only one staying in this room," I lied, my words causing him to break free.

"And I will prove it by getting tested in front of you, just tell me the date, but for now get out," I said, trying not to yell.

I could see disappointment in his face but why I couldn't tell but it's soon vanish as we heard voices from outsiders.

In a flash he was gone, just before the door opened. "Are you alright," Mr. Matthew asked.

"Yes, I thought I saw something," I lied. "I will go check on the security," He says, leaving.

"Go back to bed, it's alright" His wife Elizabeth gently said, closing the rbe windows and turning off the light.

However, it was hard to sleep at all and I found myself wide awake for quite a long time, before tiredness and then sleep.

I was woken up by Emily's worried looks. "Are you alright," she would ask when I sat up.

"Look, I'm sorry about yesterday, I didn't mean to," She apologizes. "Are we still good?" Her timid voice questioned as I smiled.

"That's not enough to break our friendship Emily," I muttered. "I know right," She says, her attitude slowly returning.

"So are you alright, could you sleep well?" She questioned. "No," I groaned. "What happened?" She asked, her tone filled with curiosity.

"Liam was here last night," I announced, watching her frown. "And he saw the pregnancy test," I continued, as she gasped.

"Does he?" … "No, I kind of told him it was yours," I cut her short, explaining before she could ask.

"And he believed you?" She questioned, her hands folded a bit. "Well I told him that if he liked it, I would do a test in front of him, and I sent him out," I narrated.

"But Chelsea, if you do it, you would be pregnant, it will still come out positive," She says.

"Don't you get, the baby would be gone by then, as I speak, I'm going to abort it, that 's my decision," I blunted out.

She freezes but then slowly, she steps back. "If you don't mind, I'm going to cool off, we can't quarrel about it again," She muttered, storming out.

I didn't care, I only called the doctor to tell her my decision before standing up to get ready.

I knew she was pissed by the way she was driving, but she didn't understand. Once everything is settled, I will explain it all to her.

LIAM POV.

"What's wrong?" Kelvin asked when I joined him in the car. "nothing but disappointment," I mumbled.

When I thought I finally had a grip on her, it all seemed to be false. "Did she see you?" Kelvin asked. .

"Yes she did, but I doubt she would tell him," I assure, looking back at the gate as he sped off.

"I thought I told you to be careful," he lectured, his words going on that I couldn't even hear myself think.

Looking at him, I wanted to shout the news, complain about everything but Emily hadn't told him yet and it was probably a surprise, something she must have been keeping, maybe waiting for the right time.

I envied him, for the first time I wanted kids. The things I thought were pests that I hated, I want now.

I so badly want her to call me,to tell me she lied and she was indeed pregnant. I could only lean to the window, trying to calm myself down.

"Don't let anyone in, Natalie ?" I instructed the next morning. I plan on taking the frustration of work, since nothing else can calm me down at this point.

"Did someone make you angry Sir," She questioned. "Should I hire someone you can sleep with for a while," She offered, making me scoff in disbelief.

"Do as I say alright,?" I yelled. "And one more thing, don't dare try to find a replacement for me, the only one I desire is her and you don't me making sure it sticks in your head, now do you?" I asked.

"No sir," She responded and slowly left the office. Yet, with all the distraction, I couldn't keep my head on that, I find myself pausing, trying to take myself off work.

It was a good thing, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to hear the gunshots. Wondering what was going on, I grabbed my gun and listened, slowly tracing the noise.

I sighed when I saw Emily having issues with Natalie, she seemed to want to see me and it seemed urgent but I didn't want to see her, it's probably to tell me her good News.

"Liam," She called, her eyes catching mine when I was just about to leave. "Goodness, your stupid secretary won't let me see you," she snorted, walking past her and to me.

"I gave the orders," I defended. "Well I'm not anybody, so that doesn't count" She snapped.

"What do you want, I'm busy?" I scout. "It's important, let's go somewhere private," She offered.

"Not now Emily, can you just stop being childish, if you can't tell me what you want to say, then go," I yelled.

She pauses, looking at me and then at the crowd that gathers. I could sense she was embarrassed but that was something I could fix later.

"Well, that's it," she snapped. "I can see why she doesn't want to be with you, you know I have always tried to support you two but it's always backfired, just like the accident and now,"

"It's good she removes your child, because you don't deserve it," She finishes, before taking off.

"Emily, wait," I called but she wasn't answering. "Emily," I yelled, holding her hands.

"What," She screamed, pushing her hands away. "Your child, what does that mean?" I asked.

"I rush her, driving with intense speed to tell you I'm not the one pregnant like she told you, that she was pregnant and about now, she plans to get rid of it,"

"But it seems, rather than going against her back, I should go and support her," She says..

"Emily, wait, please at least tell me where she is, which hospital, let me stop it, please," I begged.

"Your so called secretary already wasted a lot of time and plus you already prove otherwise, so it's too late, before you can even,"

"Let me try Emily," I cut in. "Please just tell me the address, where can I find her?" I requested.

"Just tell me, I will make it up to you but for now, the address," I continue. Her eyes filled with anger as she stared at me.

But all I needed was the address and I will use as much speed to get there. "Emily," I called again.

She sighs as she opens her mouth, wanting to say something and I patiently wait for the address.
