Chapter 19 He came
Chapter 19 He came
Leondra looked at Henary and made sure he was fast asleep. Then, Leondra gently laid Henary's head down beside her.
"I'll be gone for a little while, you'll be safe here," Leondra said as she stroked Henary's back.
Then, Leondra closed her eyes. Soon after, fireflies appeared. Leondra smiled slightly, knowing that the fireflies would keep Henary fast asleep.
After that, Leondra left using her powers. In order to make her plan succeed, Leondra went to meet the Demon King, with whom she was on fairly good terms. It was similar to how witches helped the wolves.
"I will ask Xean for help in creating his illusory powers," said Leondra with a slight smile.
If the wolves had witches to help them with their magical powers, the vampires would ask the demons for help to do the same.
Not long after, Leondra returned. She then told the fireflies to leave and returned to using her legs as a pillow for Henary to sleep on.
"You are mine, dear, no one can take you from me. Especially that stupid Wolf," said Leondra as she gently caressed Henary's cheek.
Leondra then fell asleep in a sitting position.
Morning came, and Henary woke up first. She saw Leondra still fast asleep in a sitting position.
Henary's hand reached out to touch Leondra's perfect nose. "Your legs must hurt after this," Henary muttered softly as she woke up.
Henary's movement woke Leondra up. "Good morning," Leondra greeted Henary with a smile.
"Good morning, Leondra. Your legs must be sore. You slept sitting up last night too," said Henary with a look of regret.
"It's okay, the important thing is that you slept well," replied Leondra with a smile.
"Should we stay here for now, or go home, Leondra?" Henary asked.
"I'll assess the situation later. If everything is safe, we'll go back home." Henary nodded in response.
"I'll get food for our breakfast. You wait here for a moment. Don't worry, this place is much safer," Leondra instructed.
"Okay," said Henary.
Leondra then left using her powers to find food.
"Leondra has extraordinary speed," muttered Henary with a soft chuckle.
Henary didn't go anywhere; he obeyed Leondra's orders to stay put.
Not long after, Leondra returned with two meat sandwiches and a bottle of mineral water.
"Eat," Leondra said as she handed him the sandwiches.
"Thank you, Leondra," Henary replied with a smile.
"You're welcome." They then enjoyed their simple breakfast.
"You only brought one bottle of mineral water?" Henary asked.
"It's okay, this is for you. If I want some, I'll ask for it later. As usual, I can't drink right after eating," replied Leondra with a chuckle.
"You're quite unique," muttered Henary, which was answered with a smile from Leondra.
"You'll find out about my other unique habits once you become my wife," said Leondra with a laugh.
"It turns out you have many other unique habits," said Henary in surprise.
"Of course," replied Leondra.
"Leondra, when you were looking for food earlier, how was the situation? Was it safe and under control?" asked Henary.
"I need to take a shower," she continued in a whisper.
"It seems safe. We'll go home when it's noon," replied Leondra, and Henary nodded in agreement.
"Henary, how about we take a shower together?" Leondra said with a soft laugh. Of course, she was deliberately teasing Henary.
"Don't say another word! I won't take a shower with you," grumbled Henary with an annoyed expression.
"Why? It would be fun. We'll just take a shower together, I promise I won't do anything more than that," said Leondra casually.
"No way, Leondra. I'm an adult, of course I'm embarrassed. Aren't you embarrassed?" growled Henary.
"Why should I be embarrassed? I have a nice body and I'm definitely seductive. I'm sure you'll enjoy it," Leondra replied, immediately receiving a punch from Henary.
"Stop teasing me, Leondra! I might get angry," Henary said with a displeased expression.
"Alright. I'm sorry, dear," Leondra said, hugging Henary's waist from behind.
"Let go of me, Leondra. It's still early in the morning, don't hug me." Henary tried to break free from Leondra's embrace, but Leondra hugged him even tighter.
"What's the problem? It's still early in the morning. I'm just hugging you," said Leondra, resting her chin on Henary's shoulder.
"Of course it's wrong, I haven't showered yet. Can't you smell my body?" Henary grumbled.
"I can smell it. Your body still smells very good, even though you haven't showered yet." Leondra's words made Henary feel awkward. Leondra always managed to tease him.
"Honey, can I say something?" Leondra murmured.
"Go ahead, what do you want to talk about?" replied Henary.
"I don't know when that stupid Wolf will find us. It could be sooner than I expect, so can we pretend to be a real couple?" said Leondra.
"I'm doing this for your safety, of course, so that the Wolf knows that you can now live without him and already have another man in your life," she continued.
Henary remained silent, thinking about Leondra's words. She had a point, especially since Alpha Almarjaf had accused her of cheating on him with another man without any evidence.
"Okay. I agree," replied Henary, making Leondra smile slightly.
"Thank you, dear," said Leondra as she kissed Henary's cheek briefly.
"You shouldn't thank me, we're both benefiting from this," said Henary with a chuckle. Leondra just replied with a slight smile.
Henary and Leondra had returned home.
"Honey, I have something important to do later. I'm going to leave you, but promise me you won't go anywhere and will stay at home. Don't make me angry," Leondra warned.
"But don't be gone too long," Henary replied with a pleading look.
"I'll try not to be too long, and I'll be back soon," said Leondra as she kissed Henary's forehead.
"Okay. I'll wait for you, be careful." Leondra smiled, then left Henary.
"I hope Leondra doesn't take too long. I'm afraid Alpha Almarjaf will suddenly come here," muttered Henary.
Not long after Leondra left, Henary heard the door open.
"Leondra is back so quickly," said Henary as she walked towards the door.
Henary's face turned panicked when she saw someone at the door, but it wasn't Leondra. What should she do now? Especially since her powers were also in trouble, there was no way she could fight him.
