Chapter 15: Too many lies

Henary sat silently, thinking about Leondra's parents. He wasn't really ready to meet them, but Leondra had insisted, and they would be arriving shortly.

"Oh my God, why did Leondra force me to meet them? What if they don't like me right away?" Henary had already given up, feeling that the rumors about him were indeed very bad.

Leondra herself clearly wasn't going to introduce Henary to her real parents. Leondra's parents were obviously dead, and even if they were still alive, Leondra wouldn't introduce them to Henary too soon.

"Leondra, are they really on their way here?" Henary asked softly.

"Of course," Leondra replied casually.

After I talked to them telepathically, they themselves enthusiastically said they would come here to see you.

"But isn't it too dangerous for them to come here, Leondra? This is vampire territory, and vampires don't really like witches, ever since witches sided with Alpha Almarjaf," replied Henary.

"Come on, you don't need to be afraid or nervous. I guarantee my parents will like you," said Leondra. However, that still didn't calm Henary down.

"Now, change your clothes into the dress I've chosen. They will come here safely because I've arranged everything," she continued as she handed the dress to Henary.

Henary sighed and accepted the dress.

"Okay," replied Henary.

"Don't think too long. If you don't quickly change into the dress I chose, I'll be happy to help you put it on," said Leondra, teasing Henary.

"No need, Leondra. I can do it myself!" said Henary firmly.

Then, Henary hurried to the bathroom to change her clothes.

Leondra smiled slightly. She had deliberately arranged all this so that Henary would get closer to her and become more dependent on her.

Soon after, Henary came out of the bathroom. Leondra continued to stare at Henary, who looked very beautiful.

"You look so beautiful, dear," Leondra praised Henary openly as she caressed Henary's cheek affectionately.

"Leondra, I'm really nervous. I'm afraid they won't like me and will kick me out of here," said Henary with a worried look on her face.

Leondra chuckled upon hearing this. "That's impossible, dear. They already know about you and they came here because they like you. So you don't need to worry," replied Leondra.

"Is that really true?" asked Henary, wanting to be sure.

"Of course, dear," said Leondra, giving Henary a quick kiss on the lips.

"Okay. I believe you," said Henary with a smile.

"They clearly like you. Especially since I introduced a woman to them for the first time," said Leondra casually, which stunned Henary.

"So this is your first time being with a woman, and it's with me?" asked Henary, pointing to herself.

Leondra nodded her head with a slight smile.

"Oh my god, I thought you weren't the first," muttered Henary.

"I don't easily get close to women, but when I saw and met you, I felt something different and was very attracted to you," explained Leondra.

"You are the only woman who has made me feel like I'm falling in love. And maybe that's a sign that you're my partner," he continued with a soft chuckle.

Henary only responded with a small smile. To be honest, she felt a little embarrassed, either because of Leondra's compliment or because she knew she was the first woman in Leondra's life.

The two of them then went to the dining room to wait for Leondra's parents to arrive.

"Have the servants in this house been replaced?" Henary muttered as she watched the three servants in her house preparing the food.

"Leondra, have the servants in this house been replaced?" Henary whispered softly.

"Yes. I replaced them with stronger servants. The three servants from yesterday were still weak and useless to me as personal servants here," replied Leondra.

"But are they okay?" Henary asked.

"Of course. Let's not talk about them anymore. The three of them were no longer fit to work here. And they also disobeyed my orders," Leondra said.

Not long after, Leondra's parents arrived. Henary and Leondra immediately greeted them.

They looked very happy when they met Henary, making Henary feel relieved. "Not only does Leondra like me, but her parents also treat me very well," Henary said to himself.

Leondra, who heard Henary's thoughts, smiled slightly.

"Honey, Mom has a gift for you. Wear it," said the old woman who was Leondra's mother.

Henary smiled slightly, her eyes glancing at Leondra.

"Don't refuse it. Leondra, quickly put Mom's gift on Henary," said the woman as she handed over a necklace that looked very beautiful.

All of this had been arranged by Leondra, of course.

Leondra took the necklace and put it on Henary.

"Thank you, this necklace is very beautiful," said Henary, smiling as she held the necklace.

"Mom is happy that you like the little gift," she said enthusiastically.

"When are you two getting married? I can't wait to see my grandchild," said the middle-aged man with a chuckle.

"Oh my god, why are they talking about marriage?" Henary muttered to herself.

Henary glanced at Leondra, who only smiled slightly in response to her father's words, as if Leondra did indeed have a special relationship with Henary and they would be getting married in the near future.

Henary cleared her throat softly. She was confused about how to answer Leondra's father's question.

"Henary is still waiting to divorce that stupid Wolf," Leondra replied casually.

"All right, I understand. I'm sorry for rushing things." There was regret visible on the middle-aged man's face.

"It's okay," replied Henary with a soft smile.

They then enjoyed their meal together in peace.

Leondra had already told so many lies to make Henary soften and become attached to her.
