Chapter 48: Meet Dr. Camilla From The Northeast
Jean and I were still at my mother's house until someone named Camilla arrived. A red luxury car entered Mother's yard. I thought I might be the only woman who knew about Jean's mother's house.
But Camilla arrived without being given the address and came quickly. However, I brushed aside my negative thoughts; Camilla was just a doctor from the northeast team who would be checking Jean's mother's medical condition. Even though Camilla is said to not be a psychologist, she was able to cure Jean's mother's medical condition.
When the woman named Camilla strolled into Jean's mother's house, the atmosphere instantly changed. Camilla's aura is very strong; she is tall and sexy like Veronica, but I admit Camilla is more beautiful. Her clothes are so fashionable, as if she were rich, even though she is Jean's employee.
I look at myself; I don't have a tall body, even though many people praise me for being beautiful. Seeing Camilla makes me feel a little inferior.
For a moment, I remembered Luca's words when he described the situation in the northeast. Luca said that the northeast team has great doctors who can treat many things, so the northeast's defense remains strong because their men are always healthy and safe from danger thanks to those doctors. Is the doctor Luca is referring to Camilla?
I glanced at Jean, his eyes sparkling with hope toward Camilla. Something that makes me afraid my boyfriend will be taken away again.
"Camilla, please check on my mother. Dr. Adams didn't show up after a week of being somewhere unknown. I think my mother's condition is slightly declining. I thought you could detect it," Jean said.Camilla immediately approached Jean's mother; she smiled, and I truly believe her smile was the most beautiful I've ever seen, even though I'm a woman.
Camilla is like a noblewoman or someone with the title of Miss World; she is elegant and beautiful. From what I can see, she has a different personality than Veronica. I hope she's not like Veronica, who wants other people's boyfriends.
"Let me check first, ma'am." Camilla took out her medical tools to check on Jean's mother.
"Her blood pressure is high, sir. It seems like Mom is delaying taking her medication and taking it all at once when she remembers. Is that true?" Hearing Camilla's words surprised Jean.
"Is that true, Mother?" Jean's high tone implied anger.
"Mother delayed it because sometimes Mother didn't want to drink it yet. But Mom realized I had to drink it, so I drank it all at once at night." Mother admitted it, with a little fear toward her child.
"Mom, do you know you have to take your medicine on time? The meaning of being on time is at the recommended time. Why did you miss it?" Jean looked disappointed, and Mother just nodded in acknowledgment of her mistake.
"Will this have any other side effects?" Jean asked Camilla.
"Can I see Mother's medicine first?" Camilla asked. At that moment, the mother's maid quickly went to get her medicine.
"For now, I can only detect her high blood pressure and rapid heartbeat. Perhaps I can detect it after seeing the contents of her medicine." When Camilla said that, we could see Mother's maid running back here again with a box of Mother's medicine.
"This is the medicine to be taken in the morning. If you take it in the afternoon, you will be given this additional medicine until the third dose in the evening." The maid gave us three types of tablet medicine at different times of use.
"This is just a B-complex vitamin; it should be fine. But when the others are taken at the same time, the dosage will increase. Of course, that wouldn't be good. The risks are a racing heart, increased blood pressure, hallucinations, and dizziness." Hearing Camilla's statement, it seems the effects of using the medication incorrectly are quite dangerous. Perhaps that's why Jean's mother thought I was her husband's mistress from the first time we met.
"I hope you don't do that again, and take your medication at the recommended times. If you continue to take your medication the way you did yesterday, the treatment will be useless. It doesn't cure; it makes things worse." When Camilla said that, Jean didn't even take his eyes off his mother; he did this so his mother would realize her mistake and not do it again.
"Alright, Camilla. I will listen to what you say," said Mother.
"Don't just listen to Camilla, Mother; you need to realize your mistakes and apologize to yourself. Indirectly, you are endangering yourself. Luckily, I arrived just in time, and the East North team has a doctor like Camilla. If not, and it's discovered late, who knows what will happen then?" Jean is commemorating his mother.
"Yes, please forgive my mistakes. Mom just thought the important thing was that I took my medicine today. And thank you, Camilla; you are so kind and talented, and you always heal me. I hope Jean can find a woman like you as his partner." Mother's words were very sharp, so sharp that they quickly and accurately wounded my heart.
Wouldn't it be better if you didn't say things like that in front of the woman Jean brought home right now? Unless Mother Jean really doesn't like me.
Jean looked at me; without seeing the condition, he held my hand. "I've found what's best for me, Mom. No need to look any further." I'm happy at heart; it's true what people say: even if the world is cruel, as long as your partner defends you, you'll be fine. And I felt my confidence return.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce Camilla. Camilla, this is my girlfriend, Reinhardt. She is a Western official." Jean introduced me to Camilla. Camilla smiled, as if there were no grudges or any feelings bothering her. Her smile is so friendly and welcoming.
"It was a pleasure to meet the ruler from the west and be introduced directly to Miss Reinhardt. Nice to meet you, miss. I'm Camilla Russel." We shook hands; Camilla looked good and well-educated. There was no sign of any animosity at all. I might be able to be friends with her, but when I think about it, Veronica also seemed good and sincere back then, didn't she?
