Chapter 8: Mr. Lance's Son

Gabriel slowly turned his head away from her as he could see the anger in her eyes.

After being quiet for about 30 minutes, he turned back towards her but at the same time her instincts told her he wasn’t able to keep quiet for such a long time, she also turned to was his direction giving him one of her death stares.

He immediately comported himself and returned his eyes to his book

“Is It that you can’t stay quiet for at least a little bit of time?” She asked

“ Well no, it’s just that I’m used to people talking to me all the time and that’s why”

“Fine, what do you want to ask me? Before you make me look like a bad person in front of everyone”

“Well I first wanted to ask about your faculty, what are you studying and then I also wanted to know if you’re free this evening so we could like grab dinner together?” He said trying out his luck.

“Accounting and I didn’t hear your last question”

“Is it about us grabbing dinner together?”

“Yes that, it’s not fun and no thank you, I’m not interested and I’m never going to be interested even if you ask me in a million years or in your dreams, I am not going to dinner with you. Now I would appreciate it if you leave me alone, I will love my reading to go smoothly like I have planned and please stay away from me” she added.

“You’re just mean” he voiced

Clarissa couldn’t concentrate on her books anymore. She stood on her feet, packing her books from the table.

“Hey wait there’s still something I want to say, give me a minute” he said as he rushed to pack his books as well before rushing after her.

“What do you want? I told you, I don’t want to have dinner with you and I said not even if you asked me in a million years, with a million roses I would say no. I know boys like you, you do me a favour and you think I owe you 200 favours. I already said thank you, what’s the need of having dinner with you”

“Well nothing, I just wanted to have dinner with you” he added

“Then my answer is no! you asked me a question and I replied you, your request is not granted so you are suppose to take no for an answer” she said before popping open the door of her car

“Yayyyy. You drove to school today”

“Yes because I don’t want to be with pests like you” she added before closing the door of her car. She glanced at him one more time through the window before driving off.

“Wow, she’s so amazing” he said to himself as he watched her drive away.

Clarissa had come back home relaxing on her bed.

“Was I too rude” she asked herself as she turned on her bed.

“No he deserves it, he’s nothing but trouble but then again it’s only dinner why am I thinking too much” she asked herself.

As she was drowning in her thoughts her phone beeped indicating a message popped up on her phone, it was from her younger brother it was a video underneath it was a message written on it. “Dad is at it again with Mr. Lance and I have nothing to say about this”

She opened the video, her father was arguing with Alpha Lance as always.

“I said you can’t take these rogues and this territory for yourself, it’s too close to my territory, what if your rogues decide to cut into my territory!” he yelled at Alpha Lance.

“No they won’t, I just want to claim this territory as my own, why do you have a problem with it?” Alpha Lance yelled back at him as they waved their fist at each other.

As the argument continued, people tried to separate both of them to ensure that they didn’t start a fight.

Alpha Lance had been one of Clarissa’s father’s greatest enemy, not just one – he was his biggest enemy and Alpha Gold hated him all through his years and Clarissa had no idea for the reason or the problems between the two men but all she knew was she wasn’t allowed at the Lance’s territory and nobody from Lance’s Pack was allowed at her father’s territory as well.

As the video continue to play on she could spot a familiar face, a very familiar face that she could not mistake for anybody in the world, it was the same face of the pests that was bugging her a few minutes ago in the library.

“What on earth is he doing in this?” she asked.

And the only way for her to find out was calling her brother, she instantly dialed her brother’s number.

“Hey sweetie”

“What’s up, I know you called me because of the video you want gossip”

“ well if I don’t gossip who else will”

“And if I don’t give you the gist who else will that is why I texted you, dad and Alpha Lance actually had this fight two days ago and I just got the video, I decided to share it with you” he explained

“You are always a naughty boy, so tell me – who’s the young man in video”

“Oh out of everyone in the video your eyes only caught Gabriel”

“Just tell me” she said.

“Well then that is Gabriel, Alpha Lance’s son, his only son”

“what? Alpha Lance has a son?”

“Yes his name is Gabriel and I also found out that he goes to the same school you go”

“Yes”

“Wait, why are you asking about him? Don’t tell me you’ve had something to do with him?”

“No, I just met him a couple of days back but I never knew he was a wolf” she said as her mind flashed back to what happened between those rogues at Downtown Sray.

“So that was why he was able to beat them and he lied about it.?”

“Lied about what?”

“You won’t understand but thanks for the video, I really appreciate it. You saved my life, I’m going to stay away from Gabriel”

“Well I just wanted you to know the piece of news that your father is at it again with Alpha Lance and I don’t understand why? Why can’t they just be friends?” he added

“Well our father has always proven to be strong headed, maybe that’s why”

“Alright I hope your studies are going well?”

“They are going well”

“After your exam please come back home, I miss you and don’t forget to bring souvenirs on your way back home or else I'm going to ship you back to school without a second thought”

“I promise I won’t forget the souvenirs.”

“Alright I’ll call you later, I think Dad wants me to help him out with something and one last thing could you get a picture of Gabriel for me, he’s really handsome I want to put it on my walls”

“You know your father would be angry right?”

“Yes, I’m just joking, I hope you have a nice day”

“ bye” she said before turning off the call she couldn’t believe what she heard, if she had gotten involved with him things would have been worse. A lot worse.
