After my father had his moment with Thomas things were just settling down when Alex suddenly after a brief exchange with Thomas drops to his knees in front of me.
Oh my God!!!!! Tears gather in my eyes..
For a moment everyone ceases to exist except him and Me. I forget the crowd, forget Isabella and Marguerite who are seated in the first aisle , I forget my father, I forget Thomas , I forget to even breath until I exhale deeply…

No more tears for now, now is a time of jubilation . I stand in my full power and my man kneels in front of me.I take a step closer I him, then another , closing the small existing space between us . I can feel the eyes of everyone in the room on us , breaths held waiting to hear my response.
They can wait , this moment is ours alone. Once my body is touching his torso I look at the ring once more it is even more impressive up close . Then back to his smouldering dark eyes .My mark flares up as usual in response to his proximity, the magnetic connection is always pulling, unrelenting, and my mind calms down .

I drop to my knees slowly until we are eye to eyes .The room breaks out in murmurs once more but I ignore them

A few people laugh again in the aisles but I don't stop watching him “We have been fighting for months to stand here together today.” I continue

I let out a deep breath “I have grown to love my history and want to protect it.”
My voice softens for a moment “but in the midst of all the magic and mayhem ...”

Finally he slides in the ring slowly . In clear view of the room making sure they all witness it .

The room erupts in cheers, gasps, chairs scraping back a flutter of movement but I don't mind It as Alex is already helping me up, wrapping his arms around me .kissing my like the whole world has disappeared and it's only us and cos a moment it does feel that way. I curl my hands around his neck pulling him.ckkse kidding him back with the same urgency, no hint of restraint or hesitation , because this exquisite moment. Is ours and we will not let anyone take it away from us. When we finally come up for air I rest my forehead on his as we both try to catch our breaths. .Reluxtantky I look at the room . “You all wanted to return La Rosa to the supposed rightful owner.” I say my voice calm
“Well” I smile
“Now it has returned to the rightful owners.”
“And this time.” I add silently “No one dares to even attempt to steal it again.”
