Chapter 196 Unveilling
Alessia's POV
Only Lucy had ever seen our mark , and at that time it wasn't fully bloomed . To say they are shocked is an understatement. My father leans back smirking as he has a similar mark he shares with my mother .The room is still, so still that I can hear a leaking faucet in the kitchen it seems to have not been shut properly.

All eyes are on the marks Alex and I just revealed. Padre picks up his magnifying glass and studies Alex's torso , then takes a few steps towards me to look closely at my mid thigh. I watch as his expression turns from mere curiosity to astonishment.
“Dios Mios” he mutters under his breath as he finally steps back and return to his seat
Angelica's mouth opens and closes like a fish a few times before she recovers.“How is this possible ?”
Padre shifts his glasses back and peers at Alex's torso again , as if he believes if he looks closely enough it will disappear.
Alex folds his arms behind his back calmly , I do the same with my father's hand still wrapped in mine.
Padre finally expels a breath , leaning back in his chair he removes his glasses ..
“The marks are identical”
He murmurs “And in perfect symmetry”
Selina tilts her head at me then Alex “Your magical watermark” She says softly.
Luca looks at me first then Alex , then he rubs his hand on his face in quiet contemplation “No one will question this once they see your makes.”
“Indeed” I whisper silently but showing it will be a last resort I hope.
Lucy exhales “When you showed me at La Casa it was only partly …” her voice carries as she stares into space for a moment then shakes her head
“Now it's not only a Bond mark” she says softly “But a declaration of your guardianship”
Padre loosens his tie as if he can't quite breathe while still staring at me and Alex “Even though the scripts indicated it, I didn't know you two had the marks too ..”
Alex finally lowers his shirt and I let my dress fall down. Angelicas suddenly leaps out of her chair
"So you two are not only the guardians but are imprinted with the rose mark as well ?”
Selina smiles at her exuberance “This simply indicates La Rosa's magic has been awoken.”
My Father just keeps watching Alex quietly. Then he nods after some tome " It won't be hard to convince them now”
Alex turns to him and they exchange a silent look as if they are communicating without words .Sitting back down I watch Luca as he lets out a dry chuckle “Thomas is going to lose his mind”
I laugh , “He really is.”I add softly
Alex's lips pull into a smile “You know this Amigo”
Lucy narrows her eyes in deep thoughts “All of this we want to say in a room full of dangerous Mafianos ?”
Then Angelica groans, covering her face with her hands . “Urgh tell me we are not really doing this.”
I chuckle, turning to Alex “Not only are we doing this.”
“but we are doing it as soon as possible” Alex adds calmly
While Selina lifts her brow “Angelica if you are afraid you can stay in the suite”
Angelica shakes her head vehemently “And miss history in the making ?No way Ma'am.”
Padre starts putting the scripts together once more “We will need to beef of security as well as magical wards..” he pauses for a moment “And proceed with caution ,the information in these scripts can destroy and empire.”
Alex nods “Yes we will have to do that indeed”
We sit in silence for some minutes until someone clears his throat turning around it's Hugh I did not know he had been standing in the doorway all this while .He comes in slowly , his face serious as usual almost reverent.
“Hugh, is something wrong?” I ask him curiously
He rarely interrupts meetings or contributes.He shakes his head once. “May I speak?” he asks
Alex waves him in “Of course Hugh the floor is yours.”
He walks into the dining room and stops between Alex's chair and mine. We both turn around at the same time as he suddenly drops to a knee just the way he did the first time we met !
Angelica yelps in surprise as Lucy sits up blinking rapidly!
Hugh loweres his head “Princess I led you to La Casa" he says quietly and “Joined you when you were leaving . But I am yet to swear my allegiance”
I can't take my eyes off him , he raises his gaze to mine “Both of you are the rightful guardians of La Rosa” he adds firmly “And you are the rightful ruler of La Casa .”
My heart clenches as he places his right hand over his heart “I hereby in the midst of all your friends swear my loyalty to the Ferrini house and to Princess Alessia Molano true ruler of La Casa and descendants of Natura”
His words settle like an oath in the room ...“Woah I wasn't expecting this”
"Oh Hugh." I whisper gently as he remains kneeling.
My father watches everything unfold quietly as Alex steps forward quickly placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Hugh you may raise”
He stands up “I hope you know what this means?” Alex asks before I can. Hugh nods “I have picked my side and will go to war if necessary”
I tense for a moment as I watch Alex's eyes flash with determination and something else
“We hope not to come to that ..”
Luca slides his chair back and stands up stretching his back “Alex we need to spread the word.”
Alex nods “I believe you and padre can do that.”
Luca laughs “leave it to me I am way ahead of you.” he removes his phone “I know one man that will ensure all the mafiasos within the peninsula find out within a day”
Padre smirks “let me have one guess”
Luca smiles evilly “His name starts with M?”
“Marco Vitelli!” Padre finishes
Angelica laughs “Even I have heard about him and how he loves to gossip”
Luca shakes his head “That Man cannot keep a secret to save his life.”
He begins dialling. “If I am able to reach him today, by tomorrow morning the news would have spread that there is going to be a council meeting at La Visage.”
My stomach clenches and My throat tightens
Alex turns to me “Alessia are you ready to do this?”
I look into his dark eyes mesmerised for a moment then I nod
“Si , it's time”
I feel my father's eyes on me but I don't turn and for the first time since he has returned home I sense a thrill of excitement from him.
