Chapter 186 Sicily
Alessias POV
It's evening by the time we arrive in Sicily .The pilot voice cuts through the cabin.
“Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen we are circling Sicily and should be descending in the next thirty mins "
Despite my worries I still feel a sliver of excitement. No matter what . I left a Maid and returned as the lost princess of a Coven . If that is not an upgrade I don't know what it .
Now it's time to kick back and kick ass
The plane begins to descend slowly as usual my stomach twists in tiny knots . Lucy presses her eyes to the window I am sure she is curious to see whst Sicily looks like as she has never been here's before
"Are we there yet?
Angelica sighs dramatically waving her hands in the air "Lucy didn't you hear the pilot ?If you ask me one more time I am going to -."
Luca laughs from the other aisle "Dios ,Spit fire Allow her please she has never been here." Angelica sticks her tongues out at him and I laugh turning towards the window myself.
Just below Sicily emerges out of the clouds.After everything we have been throught the pass couple of months the sight is comforting .The pilots voice interrupts my thoughts as it fills the cabin once more.
"I am preparing for landing on the La visage rooftop airstrip in the next thirty minutes.Thank you for flying Ferrini Air, we hope you enjoyed your trip . Please keep your seatbelts on until the sign is turned off. Enjoy your stay”
Lucy blinks in surprise “We are landing on a private rooftop"
Angelica looks at Alex visibly impressed by his wealth. I look towards Alex He is by the cock pit having a few words with the pilot before he turns around and returns to his seat.
He notices everyone is watching him “The plane is landing directly on top of my hotel” He explains calmly to those that didn't start the journey with us.
Lucy giggles "What an experience…”
The plane dips slowly until the building comes into view

When we were leaving I didn't get a chance to admire the rooftop design because it was at the crack of dawn . Bright lights line the edges while the security guards are waiting patiently by the elevator. The planes wheels touch the surface as it lands with a small jolt gliding down the small runway slowly and comes to a smooth stop .We all sit quietly for a few minutes until Alex removes his seat belts and stands up.
“We are here.”
The cabin door opens immediately and fresh air rushes inside . Alex steps out first ,followed by Luca , then my father and I. Alex looks around ,always on alert making sure only his guards are on the rooftop. .
While ,Luca stretches his neck from left to right
"I am happy to be back home "
So am I to be honest
My father looks around the rooftop his eyes twinkling "Now I know why your name sounded familiar,You are Marco's son " My Father states as a matter of fact and Alex nods "Yes that was why I recognised you as well,I had seen you with my father before"
Hr faces Alex with renewed respect and my heart warms.
“Thank you for looking after my Daughter” My Dad says calmly giving Alex a hand which Alex quickly accepts shaking him briskly “It's been my honour Sir” Alex says eyes surprisingly bright .
I watch the two lives of my life as my heart overflows for them both.I am really glad they are getting along so well. I didn't know about our father's knowing each other though before I can ask either one of them any questions. Lucy and Angelica step out of the plane .
Lucy gasps in surprise "This is beautiful "
Alex says nothing the rooftop has a 360 view of the entire Sicily! The sea shines like diamonds in the distance while the city lights glow across the skyline
While we are watching the scenery Hugh steps out last to join us.
"This is quite impressive." he mutters quietly and I can't help but agree
Angelica turns to Alex in amazement “Your hotel is what girls dreams are made of.”
A smile tugs on Alex's lips “Let's go inside”
We walk across the rooftop together to the elevator. The guards straighten as we approach,bow and greet him "Good evening Signore Ferrini."
Alex answers with a small nod but does not pause . Pressing the button we all step into the elevator quietly and the doors closed. A few moments later the doors open at the Presidential suite lobby .The walkaway is covered with black lush carpeting thick enough for our feet to sink in as we walk . The Red wallpaper a cleae contrast that should look gaudy but somehow works with the italian furniture .There is a long black mahogany console table with a gold lovely mirror . A vase sits on it with fresh roses .More guards are standing on either side of the door ,Bowing with respect as we enter. Alex nods as he continues to the double ornate doors leading into the suite.
Lucy leans towards and Angelica whispering softly "I can easily get used to this lifestyle"
Angelica smirks "Lucy focus."
Smiling , I watch as Alex brings out the hidden key from his pocket and unlocked the door .The suits looks the same ,large living room is designed in deep Italian black furniture with matching red accents .The dining has a black wooden dining table it seats eight with a open design kitchen with all the sleek appliances glistening as if they had been replaced when we left.
Lucy steps into the doorway doing a 360 turn in shock "Alex this is how you live ?"
Alex shrugs non committally " Occasionally."
Angelica steps farther in to the kitchen ."The kitchen alone is bigger than my entire apartment"
Luca scoffs dropping on to the sofa "It's good to have friends in high places."
Hugh does not enter until his sharp eyes scans the room thoroughly .My father walks towards the large living room windows overlooking the city as if drawn by an unseen magnet!
"I have missed this view , I never thought-" his voice breaks as I head to him placing a hand on his back.
"It's all in the past Dad,you are home now "
He holds on to my hand too emotional to speak as Alex walks up to my side.
"We made it back home together just as I promised."
I nod giving him a small smile it's seems like years ago we were sitting in this very living room when he was making the promise to bring me back in one piece.
"Yes we did."
But even as I affirm I know there is something he hasn't told me. A danger that is chasing us and could be even worse than what we escaped form la Geneva.
