Chapter 74
First Osama, and now Warda. Both were giving horrified expressions. What was in those pictures?
Zain picked up the pictures and now it was time for him to be sacred. The pictures turned his world upside-down.
They were snaps of Sameer and Ayzel. These were taken at the time when they both celebrated the two-month anniversary of their friendship and when Sameer proposed to Ayzel. The memories of eventful days of their lives.
"Bhai..is not..this man Agent Sameer Chohan who is badly after you? He tried to challenge you...many times. Is not..he?" Warda said all these in a shaking voice.
"Osama from where did you find this shit?" Zain gritted. He was seething in anger. He could murder someone in anger.
"Boss, I was investigating the accident that happened to me and Ayzel Bhabhi. The hired goons did not have any identity of the man who hired them. But somehow I traced the call record and it took me to a house where I found these and.." Osama stopped because he was afraid of saying the last part.
"AND WHAT!" Zain roared.
"Boss, that house was very close to the address where the driver dropped Ayzel Bhabhi last time." This was the part he was dreading to utter.
"Moreover the mole we caught before Azyel's arrived also said the person who sent him, his name began with "S"." Osama reminded him.
"Osama do you even know what are you saying?" Warda yelled at him.
Zain was silent. For the first time in his life, he lost the ability to say and think anything.
"Boss..I don't want to say this. but I think Ayzel is involved with Sameer. Think about the captured men and what they said, no harm to the girl. I just pray that I will prove myself wrong. But this all points to one thing." Osama said all these in shame and sorry.
"SHUT UP..Just Shut Up!" Warda barked at him. She was going hysterical. Her panic attack was returning.
Zain immediately rushed to her and tried to calm down her.
"Bhai, this.. Can't be true. No.no. I hate Ayzel too..but this is not. Bhai, Arham..our Arham he..is so innocent. He can't have a future and trauma like mine. His suffering can't be like mine." Warda's voice was shaking and she was hiccuping.
Zain hugged her and kissed the crown of her head. "Ssssshhh sssshhh, calm down. Your brother is here." Zain was consoling her but deep inside he was in dread too.
Warda threw pictures at Osama. "Prove these pictures are forged or fake. I don't care how!"
"Bhai, please do something to stop this. My Arham'd parents can't be killers of each other. This world won't let him live. They will mock him that his mother was a cheater...they will call any one of his parents a murderer." Warda cried again in Zain's embrace.
But the man was already helpless. Life would play that game with him, he never thought. Now he understood the reason behind the changed demeanor of his wife. But why so sudden? What happened within a week that led to them at that point? Or this web had been knitting for a very long ago oblivion to him?
Warda tried, and Grandmother warned him not to marry that girl. But his madness and obsession with her made him do this.
Was history going to be repeated?
Zaim felt guilty over the fact that he fought his sister for that treachours Ayzel and here his sister now begging to prove the innocence of that same evil girl.
Indeed, in the end, blood relationships had more power.
The three of them decided to handle this matter with delicacy and not to involve Burhan. Because he madly loved her so-called sister and they did not want to alarm Ayzel. Because the resurfacing of Sameer in their life was not a good signal.
Their first strategy was to remove Sameer from the picture without alerting Ayzel. Because if roots are cut down, then the tree will die on its own. Zain didn't want any scratches on his marriage bond. He wanted to live in a false paradise.
At night when Zain was leaving for his bedroom, Warda again requested him not to do anything with Ayzel that he would regret later or affect their future, only for the sake of Arham. Because she suffered that trauma as her mother was the betrayer and killer of her father.
For the first time in his life, his feet felt heavy. He usually rushed to his room for his Ayzel and baby. But today that excitement died.
He slowly entered and closed the door. The light inside the room was dim. Azyel was sleeping. He crouched down to her sleeping face. He raised his hand to palm her cheek but an invisible barrier stopped him by an inch. Was she already tainted for him?
"Why are you doing this to me? Huh? What he gave you which I did not? Just end it before I come to know about this. Because if I find it then I don't know what would I do. I might take my life after killing you." He whispered to her.
"You will regret Ayzel if you dare to leave me, will regret it very badly." He gritted in a whisper.
"Don't you dare to drag me on deserted roads of your betrayal? You will not open the doors of your heart for someone other than me!" he pointed a finger toward her heart.
She was burying the ashes of the dreams that they saw together.
"If you still dare to betray me, I would die but you will die a worse death." He warned her. But no words went into her mind. Because he did not want her to hear them in the first place. He promised not to raise his voice again on her. But that girl was forcing him to use his gun on her.
Zain instantly killed the person from whom he sniffed the smell of betrayal. But this girl was getting a chance. But for how long?
Who will die first in the web of betrayal?
