Katherine
"Jared," my voice was so low that I almost doubted he could hear it.
Jared
"Yes, my sweet female," I replied with a tired grunt. I was so relaxed that I didn't even feel like moving my jaw, but I still pulled Kat's body closer and kissed her lips.
Katherine
" I need to tell you something about me," my fingers circled his chest, moving lovingly but nervously, "that I have never told anyone, before.
Jared
"It's okay! Every woman has a secret," I kissed the top of Kat's head, smiling broadly, wanting her to be as relaxed and calm as I was.
Katherine
"This is very important," I sighed deeply, biting my lip as I positioned myself with my arms on his chest. If I told you that I'm more than a female human," Looking at him seriously I add. "Would you still want me?"
Jared
"But you are more than a human!" I replied as I opened my eyes and kissed her lips with a malicious smile, "You are also a fascinating white she-wolf and my beautiful mate."
Katherine
" Yes, I am," I flushed as I felt his nails caressing my naked skin. "But what if I were more than that?" My body tensed and my eyes locked with his, "Would you still be with me?
Jared
"Kat?" I get nervous as I see my mate's lips quiver and a few tears appear in her beautiful eyes. "What's wrong?"I tried to relax her by gently stroking her spine from top to bottom with my open hand. "You are my mate now," I kissed her lips again and murmured, "Nothing can keep us apart."
Katherine
"I'm glad you say that," I paused for a moment, my eyes never leaving his face, "but you must know my secret."
Jared
"You can trust me, Kat," I could feel the tension running through Kat's entire body. "Nothing you can say right now will change how I feel about you," I smiled, caressing her face, "You are my soul mate, you know I cannot live without you."
Katherine
"I know," I lower my eyes to the nape of his neck and immediately shiver at the sight of my mark on his skín. He was mine, forever, but I was afraid of his reaction to my revelation. "You must that I am more than just a wolf," I bit my lip, analyzing his increasingly serious face and tense body. We were naked, our bodies wrapped as one, and suddenly I thought it would be better to just sit down and face my male. "I was afraid to upset you and our people, so I never told anyone."
Jared
"Kat, you're making me nervous."
My eyes held hers as if there was an invisible line between us and I tried to analyze her thoughts. She was blocking her mind and I immediately raised an eyebrow. "What the hell are you talking about?"
Katherine
"There's one thing I inherited from my maternal grandmother," I find myself staring at him again, and in a second I start to mumble, "I didn't know until I was 16, and after my parents died I kept it as a secret."
Jared
" Ok! But why?" I was starting to worry a lot, I should have paid more attention to Kat when she was growing up, as her mate and especially as her Alpha. I really felt like an idiot right now.
Katherine.
Well... because I have more than one wolf in my life," my voice trailed off as I met his worried gaze. "I mean," Fear began to take hold of me, freezing the words in my throat. "I'm more than a white wolf..."
Jared
"Katerine!" I growled softly as I stood and sat her on my lap, our eyes meeting again, this time a connection that melted into the heart. I love you, I'm your partner, your Alpha, you can trust me. "I took a deep breath and immediately commanded firmly and authoritatively. "Just say it!"
Katherine
"Yes, let's get this over with quickly!" I take a deep breath and stare at him for a few seconds. "But it's easier if I show you! "
Jared
"Show me?" I stared intently at my companion, concern beginning to run through my mind, body, and heart. She was stammering and it was hard to find the words to tell me what was wrong with her. It made me wonder about a number of serious health issues that could put her life at risk.
Katherine
"Yes!"
Without thinking about anything else, I just focused and with a deep breath, my whole body started to vibrate and after a few seconds I started to see everything in black and white. I knew that I was no longer a human, but a wolf. My other animal spirit was already in charge. I look at Jared in anticipation of his reaction. I had no idea what it would be.
Jared
I took a deep breath as Kat stood up, even though she was still lying on my lap. But suddenly, without a word, something appeared in her place and I only had time to instinctively jump back and fall off the bed.
"By God Lupkan!!"
A loud thud echoed through the room as my huge body hit the wooden floor. My stunned expression showed that I was truly stunned by what I saw in front of me. I hadn't reacted out of fear, but out of surprise.
Kat's eyes were still staring intently into mine, and her sluggish body took up almost half of the bed. To make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, I smoothed my own face with the open hand.
I had no idea how to react before the shock wore off. No words came out of my mouth, but I could not take my eyes off the mesmerizing white tiger lying in my bed. Kat made a move to get up and I immediately held my breath, not because I was afraid of her, but because I was completely fascinated to see this beautiful animal in front of me.
Kat jumps out of the bed and transforms into a snow white cat in the air. She lands on my naked chest and rubs her fluffy head against my neck. She purrs as she stares up at me with the same blue eyes I loved and knew so well, she licks my nose and I take a deep breath.
"Kat,' I feel the small body that had been huge seconds before and stroke her silky fur. The same white fur my she-wolf had always worn.
My eyes widened when I finally realized why Kat was a white wolf, even though her hair was brunette. It was because of her shapeshifter genes. My mate was more special than I had ever imagined. More powerful than I had ever imagined. "My fascinating female," the smile appeared on my lips, admiration, pride in the woman fate had brought to me. "Is this the secret you thought would keep me from you?"
Katherine
"Yes!" I answer mentally. "I am not just a she-wolf... I'm a... Metamorph. "Our minds connect again and I finally relax as I add. "It is my grandmother's legacy, no matter what animal form I take, it will always be with me. "But I don't want you to think I'm less wolf, that's my first nature."
Jared
"There's no doubt about it. " I said proudly as I rubbed my nose against the fluffy kitty.
Katherine
" I couldn't tell you before," I take a deep breath and hug him around the neck as he stands and carries me to the bed, I'm a woman again, my naked body lying on top of his and my eyes searching his, deeply. Our minds were open and I search for any negative thoughts he might have been hiding about everything that happened in the room. "It was something intimate,"
Jared
"I understand," I laid her down on the bed. "I just don't understand why I didn't notice it before! "I kiss each of her hands, one after the other, the frustration hidden in the sigh that follows."As an Alpha, I should have!"
Katherine
"I never let anyone see me!" I grab his neck and pull him onto the bed, our bodies intertwined.I whisper into his mouth, reassuring him. "It wasn't a failure of leadership," I add, licking his lips before nibbling. "And you... you never noticed me before."
Jared
"You don't need to remind me what a fool I've been."I bind Kat's wrists above her head. "But I promise you this," and I brush my nose against the bite mark tattooed on her shoulder, "for all the time you were out of my eyes and out of my heart," my mouth takes hers in an intense kiss as I add. "I will spend the rest of my life,making it up to you."
