Chapter 74 The Last Chapter
Chapter 74 The Last Chapter
Archer’s POV
The first time I ever saw Katrina, I was a scrawny, weak kid who could barely defend myself.
The rich kids at school thought it was fun to pick on the poor boy who wasn’t strong enough to fight back. I still remember that day vividly.
I was on the ground, dirt smeared on my clothes, my lunch scattered all over the pavement.
Their laughter echoed in my ears, and shame burned in my chest. Just when I thought I couldn’t sink any lower, a voice cut through the noise.
“Hey! Leave him alone!”
She stepped in front of me, her stance fierce, her chin held high. Her voice carried a strength that silenced them instantly.
“And who do you think you are?” one of the bullies sneered.
“I’m Katrina. Katrina Mae Brown. Nice to meet you.”
She said it so casually, as if she weren’t facing down a group of older kids twice her size. There was something about her—a fire in her eyes, a determination that made even the bullies hesitate.
They left after she gave them a piece of her mind, grumbling under their breath. She turned to me then, her expression softening.
“Are you okay?” she asked, offering me her hand.
I nodded, too stunned to speak, and took her hand. That day, she didn’t just save me—she became my hero.
So I looked for her everywhere. Damn, I became her stalker.
When I found out she was the future Luna of our pack, I got drunk midnight.
I know I couldn’t get her because of Damien. He is the future Alpha of the pack, and the woman that I desire the most is his girlfriend.
Everyone saw how deeply in love they are. Every time I fucking see their billboard, looking so lovey dovey, I get pissed and my day is already ruined.
But all that happened to us were all worth it.
The Moon Goddess has granted my request and wishes. She has been always good to me… because finally, she fell in love with me.
I could still remember her face damp with tears when she admitted that she might have feelings for me.
Damn.
I knew there was a chance that she could just playing with my feelings to escape from Damien’s toxic relationship, but I still pursued her.
I took the fucking risk, man.
And now, we are finally here.
She will be beside me, always.
The memory faded as I stood at the altar, my eyes fixed on Katrina.
My Katrina.
She was walking down the aisle, her steps steady, her face radiant.
Time seemed to slow, and for a moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.
The wedding was exactly how we wanted it—intimate and private. Just us, our closest friends, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore of the private island I’d bought a year ago.
It was our sanctuary, a place where nothing and no one could touch us.
As Katrina reached me, I took her hands in mine, marveling at how far we’d come.
From that first meeting as kids to this moment, it felt like a dream I never wanted to wake from.
“I never thought this day would come,” I said softly, my voice thick with emotion.
She smiled, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Neither did I, but I’m so glad it’s with you. You were my childhood crush ever since before.”
The ceremony was simple but perfect.
Vows were exchanged under the golden glow of the setting sun, and when the officiant declared us husband and wife, I pulled her into my arms and kissed her like it was the last thing I’d ever do.
As we danced under the stars that night, with our friends cheering around us, I whispered in her ear, “I’ll spend the rest of my life protecting you, loving you, and making sure you never regret choosing me.”
Katrina looked up at me, her smile brighter than the moonlight. “I don’t think I ever could, Archer. You’re my forever.”
And just like that, surrounded by the people we loved and the endless horizon of the sea, we began our happily ever after.
