Lenny's POV
Don't go....
"Van!" I yelled as the rain poured harder.
My fault... all my fault.
I watched soaps sniffling as the rain poured. Lucky me that I recorded these. I heard my phone ringing. It's not Van so why answer. It's probably Eric. My phone rung more so I turned up the volume high. Then I heard the door bell. I groaned and paused the show then got up and walked to the door.
"Eric why are you-" I started to say as I opened the door but met green eyes. "Va-Van....." I said.
He was drenched. His eyes looked like a dull green. He looked up at me.
"I'm sorry to bother you but can I stay here?" he asked and my eyes widen.
I got him inside and closed the door. I brought him a towel then went to the kitchen to make tea.
"You should take your clothes off so you won't catch a cold." I said and then realized that didn't sound right at all.
I blushed and mixed sugar and honey in his tea. I came out with the mug of tea but Van was nowhere to be found.
"Van?" I said looking around then decided to look upstairs.
I went into my bedroom and the bathroom door was closed. I heard water so I guessed he was taking a shower. I knocked gently on the door.
"Yeah?" Van said.
"You can sleep up here, I'll be downstairs if you want to talk." I said and placed the mug on the small table by the bed.
There was silence and I frowned then started to head to the door.
"Len, stay." I heard him say and I blinked.
"Stay here?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll be out in a bit." he said and I blushed.
"Oh um, okay." I said then whistled and a while later the water turned off.
I heard the door open and I turned around. Steam filled the room and I turned red. Van looked... good. My eyes trailed down and stopped at the towel around his waist.
"Len." he said and I snapped my head up to meet his gaze.
"Hu-Huh hm?" I asked blushing as he dried his hair with another towel.
"You really don't mind me being here?" he asked.
"Of course not." I said shaking my head. "Also, I'm sorry about me saying I hate you. I didn't mean it." I said looking down.
"Good." I heard him sigh in relief and when I looked up he was smiling at me.
Wait a minute, the last time he stayed at my house was because... of a fight with his parents. So he must be here because-
"What happened between you and Marion?" I asked and he looked down letting the towel hang down covering his face.
"I don't know." he said sighing then looked up at me.
"You both don't like each other." he said and my eyes widen.
Marion, doesn't like me? Why?
"Oh." I said looking away.
Maybe she knows my feelings for Van. Ugh everyone knows but him.
He looked in the mirror at himself.
"Van?" I said walking next to him.
"Divorce, ha." he said smiling, a smile filled with pain.
My eyes were as wide as saucers now. Is that what's going on? Marion and him are getting a divorce?
"Len... do you know how it feels to be left behind." he asked looking at me and I gulped.
"When you left me." I said and he frowned then hugged me.
"I'm sorry... I thought it would be better for me not to be in your life." he said and I gripped onto him.
"No no no, I need you." I said and then blushed.
Ugh, why did I say that.
Van pulled away a bit smiling. "Haha you, need me?" he asked raising his eyebrow.
"Yes..." I said looking away from his eyes blushing more.
"Thanks Len." he said ruffling my hair and I turned red. I looked up at his eyes and he smiled brightly. "You always know what to say." he said and I pushed against his wet chest turning more red.
"Okay okay, go put some clothes on." I said.
"Don't have any." he said smirking then went through my drawers.
I blinked blushing. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"Trying to find something I can wear." he said pulling a pair of my boxers out.
"Va-Van." I said biting my lip blushing.
"Out out, I must get changed." he said pushing me out the door of my bedroom then closed the door.
****
Van came down the stairs in my red flannel pajama pants and my gray v-neck long sleeve. The v-neck was a bit tight on him and I bit my lip. Ugh Van, what are you doing to me. He smiled and sat by me on the couch.
"Thanks for the tea." he said smiling.
"Your welcome." I said smiling back then I bit my lip. "So um... do you want to talk about it?" I asked.
"About what?" he asked searching through my recording list.
"What happened between you and Marion?" I asked and his phone ringed.
Every fucking time!
But Van silenced it without even looking at it. I blinked and he rest his chin in his hand looking at me. My heart was beating fast.
"Distance is what happened. She seems to be keeping her distance from me. And brought a guy over. Went out to dinner with him-" he said and I cut him off.
"Is she cheating?" I asked and he looked at me for a second.
"If she is, she's not a good liar." he said glaring.
