Chapter 13

Chase and Isabella decided to walk outside as soon as the dinner was finished. They had a few more talks about the Dalton Family and Isabella seemed to be really amused and happily listened to their stories. Every now and then Chase would catch a glimpse of Isabella's soft smiles that never failed to make his heart skip a beat. They were enough to make him go crazy and fall in love all over again with the beautiful woman. How badly he wanted to hug Isabella, claim her lips, and give her a passionate kiss. If only his parents weren't there, Chase thought.

Chase shook his head and turned to look at Isabella who had now stopped and tilted her head up, facing the sky above with a very soft look on her face.

"You okay? She's really like that most of the time. She just wouldn't stop asking questions, it's her annoying habit. But don't take her seriously or you'll be the one getting pissed off in the end," Chase said that sounded like Isabella's father for a second, talking about how Patricia threw lots of questions such as how Isabella's family was, how Isabella's island was, how Isabella had been, as if they were old close friends. She even asked how Isabella met Chase and that how she had managed to fall in love with a stupid man like Chase.

Isabella smiled, her eyes still looking at the starry sky above. "She's beautiful though."

Chase's eyes widened at the sudden words from Isabella, his mouth slowly gaping, his heart suddenly stopped beating.

"Hey, Isabella Gomez! You can't fall for her or anyone else! Your boyfriend will be heartbroken!" Chase's voice sounded half-pissed and half-pissed.

Isabella suddenly snapped out of the reverie and looked at Chase. She then realized what she had said and what made her boyfriend upset so she gently reached out for his hand and caressed it lovingly.

"I mean she's beautiful, like you, Chase. I can see you in her eyes. I mean, you're beautiful," Isabella said and Chase couldn't help but have his face flushed.

Isabella then kissed Chase's hand and carefully placed it on her cheek, softly leaning into it.

"Thank you for letting me meet wonderful people, Chase," Isabella said with eyes closed, a soft smile plastered on her face, as if feeling the warmth coming from Chase's hand.

Chase moved closer to Isabella, leaning to her face. He then moved his face closer and kissed Isabella passionately, putting all his mixed emotions he was feeling at the moment into one delicate, loving action.

"I love you," Chase uttered in a very low voice that sounded the most soothing sound for Isabella.

"I love you too," Isabella replied and Chase fell in love hard all over again.

"We'll stay together forever."

"Promise?"

"I promise."

The little kid smiled at the other kid who had a very blurry face, imitating the pleasant day. The smiles were visible though and there were laughs that could be heard, too.

They let the sun shine brightly on their faces as they laid on the sand and let the sound of the waves crashing and dancing to the shore be the only sound they could hear.

"Whatever happens, you will stay in my heart forever."

"Me too. Forever."

"You won't forget, right?"

"Of course not. I will always remember you."

"Promise?"

"I promise."
