S1 Week 1 EP 16

*Damn. He smells good.*

He leaned closer, our faces inches apart.

The earthy scent of him mingled with the sweetness of the berries, swirling around us like an intoxicating perfume. My heart raced as he watched me intently, those deep-set eyes filled with an earnestness that made my breath catch in my throat.

“Garak,” I whispered, wondering how the hell I could even attempt to bridge our vast differences with mere sounds and gestures. But then again, there was something exhilarating about this—the primal dance of seduction unfolding in this lush arena.

And why shouldn’t I endulge?

It wasn’t like anything was holding me back.

*I’m a free woman. I can do whatever the fuck I want!*

In response to my murmur, he leaned in just a little more. I could almost taste the unfiltered rawness of desire hanging heavy in the air. My body responded instinctively as if beckoned by unseen forces—my pulse raced and heat pooled between my thighs.

But before I could lose myself entirely in the moment, a rustling in the bushes behind us interrupted our simmering connection.

“Better not be those little fuckers,” I whispered feeling far more annoyed than necessary.

My nipples tingled at the memory of their mouths and tongues latched on… not to mention their suckling.

*Hmm. What will it feel like when my sexy caveman latches on?* My nipples tingled again.

The noise sounded again, sending me on edge.

Garak's head snapped back, alert and tense like a coiled spring ready to strike. He moved before I could react—arms swept around me again as he positioned himself between me and whatever danger lurked.

I felt the adrenaline spike through my veins—the huntress within roaring to life while fear licked at my senses.

*What had this jungle unleashed now?*

The underbrush parted with a forceful snap as two creatures emerged from the shadows: hulking figures that looked like they were crafted from twisted metal and sinew—robots?

*No... cyborg cavemen?*

Their eyes glowed ominously in the dim light like cold stars watching over us.

Garak growled lowly but fiercely—it reverberated through his chest and into mine as he shielded me further. “Stay back!” he barked in his guttural tongue. “The female’s mine.”

“Uh... Garak?” I squeaked, half-excited by his protective stance and half-terrified by the metallic monstrosities edging closer to us with an unnerving precision.

The cyborgs halted abruptly before us—strange markings glowing along their bodies like hieroglyphs alive in some ancient script or technology far beyond comprehension. My heart raced faster at their approach; each slow step echoed within the silence enveloping us.

*What fresh hell is this?*

Wasn’t being abducted by Grays enough? Now they’ve sent mechanical henchmen.

Garak's muscles tensed beside me, his body an impenetrable wall of raw power. An intense heat radiated off him, a stark contrast to the chill creeping into the air as the cyborgs advanced. My heart hammered in my chest, thrumming wildly like a bird trapped in a cage.

*What the hell are they? I’m so far from anything I used to know—this jungle, this man, this insanity.*

“Stay behind me,” Garak commanded, his voice a low rumble that sent both dread and excitement racing through me.

The intensity of his gaze bore into mine, steadying me even as the threat loomed closer.

“You won’t have any argument from me. ”I nodded, instinctively pressing against him, feeling the warmth of his body seep into my skin—a tether in the chaos.

The cyborgs halted again, their glowing eyes narrowing as if assessing us with cold calculation. One of them raised an arm, extending what looked like a weapon—a glimmering blade embedded with faintly pulsing lights that flickered like dying stars.

I swallowed hard. “Garak... what do we do?” My voice trembled despite my best efforts to sound brave.

“Run.” The word sliced through the air between us, simple and resolute.

Before I could process it, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into motion.

We dashed through the clearing, passing beneath the drooping vines and weaving around ancient trees that towered above us like guardians of forgotten secrets.

Branches whipped at my skin, but all I could focus on was Garak’s grip—strong yet reassuring—as he led me deeper into the wild.

Adrenaline coursed through me as we sprinted; I felt alive and terrified simultaneously. Each beat of my heart echoed in rhythm with our hurried escape as I risked a glance over my shoulder.

The cyborgs were relentless, lumbering after us in an unyielding pursuit that sent a fresh wave of panic clawing at my throat.

They were gaining ground—metallic legs thudding against the earth like mechanical thunder as they chased us through the dense foliage. My lungs burned with effort; every breath felt more labored than the last.

“We need to find cover,” I shouted over my shoulder.

A tense grunt escaped Garak as he veered sharply to the right, pulling me along behind him.

“This way!” He led us toward a cluster of enormous boulders that jutted out from the jungle floor like ancient giants frozen mid-stride.

In one swift motion, Garak ducked behind them and yanked me along with him. We pressed ourselves against the rocky surface just as one of the cyborgs rounded the corner—a hulking silhouette framed by fluorescent light that spilled from its body like sickly neon tendrils.

I held my breath, my heart pounding in my ears as the metal fucker stopped mere feet from our hiding spot.

It sniffed at the air with a disconcerting whirring sound while scanning our surroundings; its gaze swept over our hiding place but didn’t linger long enough for it to notice us crouching there in silence.

“Shh,” Garak murmured against my ear, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.

I couldn’t help but bite down on my lip to stifle a gasp—his presence felt like both a shield and a furnace, the thrilling danger of our situation igniting a spark deep within me.

My instincts screamed to flee, but I couldn't move, not while Garak was with me, not when his body was so close that I could feel the rhythm of his heartbeat echo against mine.

Time stretched as we remained pressed against the cool stone, watching the cyborg's movements with bated breath.

The creature prowled, its mechanical parts clicking and whirring ominously—a predator scanning for signs of life. I gripped Garak’s arm tightly, the raw power of his muscles rippling beneath the rough fabric of his clothing sending an involuntary shiver through my body.

"Do you think it can smell us?" I whispered, barely able to form the words as panic threatened to pour from my lips.

Garak shook his head slightly, those wild eyes focused intently on the cyborg. “No. Not yet.”
