I was almost jaw-dropped. How could this place be tied to Eldrick?

Lorenzo gave me a quick wave, signaling we'd chat about it later. But with the way he was acting, there had to be some treasure here.

I had a feeling about why Isidora's family had stayed here for so long: they might have a centuries-old duty to protect something.

Maybe they were guarding those treasures!

If there was Beneware of Cancer here, I could save Ronald's family!

"Anthony! Something's wrong!"

Isidora burst in, panting, "Half the people at home have collapsed. Everyone's at Murray's place now, and I don't know what to do..."

"How could this happen..." Anthony looked worried, exchanged a few words with Lorenzo, and we quickly followed Isidora to Murray's place.

On the way, Lorenzo asked Isidora how Harlan died.

She simply replied that Harlan passed away from natural causes, nothing out of the ordinary.

Soon, she led us to a big cave, simply furnished. A dozen people were gathered in a circle, anxiously discussing something.

Two middle-aged men, who looked somewhat alike, were leading the group. One looked sickly, probably Murray, and the one behind him was likely his son, Teddy. The thin, worried-looking man to his right was probably Bryce.

There were seven or eight people lying on the ground, faces purple-black and eyes closed, just like Zack yesterday. Some of them seemed already dead.

"Murray, Bryce, I brought help!" Isidora introduced us. Murray and Bryce shook hands with us and asked, "Harlan has passed away, and we're at a loss. Isidora said you could help. Can you save our family?"

They bowed to us.

Lorenzo and Anthony quickly stepped forward to support them, especially Anthony, who was very anxious seeing this scene as these people were his saviors.

"Don't worry, my friend and his apprentice are capable. You definitely could be saved. We..."

Before Anthony could finish, Teddy suddenly said coldly, "Isidora just said you couldn't save Zack. How could you save us now? I think Anthony brought you here for another purpose!"

We were all stunned. If we hadn't met Anthony in Majestic City, we wouldn't even know you existed! Besides, even if we met Anthony, we wouldn't know what could be in this cave!

"Teddy, don't talk nonsense!" Murray scolded, then apologized to us, "Sorry, he is just anxious and spoke out of turn. Please don't take it to heart."

Lorenzo waved his hand, "Saving people is more important."

He stepped forward to check the breath of the eight people lying on the ground, found a man who was still breathing, straightened his left arm, and used Astrological Pulse Mapping. After a few moments, he shook his head at me, "Dennis, it's the same as Zack, very strange."

I touched Sunstrike, squinted at the man, and sure enough, there was a faint white mist around him, it was Justbreeze.

But Justbreeze couldn't kill people!

"I've been saying it all along, they've got hidden agendas!" Teddy jeered, "And Anthony, I know why you returned. It's for that remedy for your weird illness! Without it, you've only got a few days left!"

"Teddy, you!" Anthony was so angry that his face turned red, pointing at Teddy's nose to curse, but in the end, he didn't.

Lorenzo was also very angry, "Your name is Teddy? Let me ask you, do you know what disease they have? Do you have a solution? If you don't, we..."

"I do have a solution!"

Teddy interrupted Lorenzo, "Harlan told me some things before he died. These people have normal heartbeats, and even hospital equipment can't find any problems in their bodies. But they will die half a day after fainting."

Lorenzo looked at Teddy coldly, "And then?"

"And then?" Teddy sneered, "I can save them, but only for a few minutes of consciousness."

We exchanged glances, pondering: why not help them? Even if it meant just a few moments of clarity, they might reveal something crucial.

"Teddy!" Bryce and Murray stopped Teddy, signaling him to stop talking.

Teddy snorted coldly and turned to Anthony, "Anthony, I can give you a chance. If you seize it, I'll give you the recipe for that medicine!"

Anthony was stunned, not knowing what Teddy was up to.

"But I have a condition," Teddy added.

Alicia asked, "What do you want?"

"Whether you take the opportunity or not, once it's over, you gotta scram and never show your face here again, or I'll take you out!"
