Chapter 21

Chapter 21

“Damon, please.” His eyes softened in the moonlight, and in I fell again. My god, this man was killing me. How could he be so fucking beautiful?

He ran his tongue along his bottom lip, and the memory of his mouth on mine had taken up camp in my soul.

Using all my inner strength, I looked elsewhere, if only to get a grip on reality. “I have to work for you, and this could become sticky.”

In more ways than one.

My eyes returned to his. “I would like to. I’m just frightened you’ll hurt me. And then I would have lost a job and everything too.”

He took my hand and looked into my eyes. “Will you have dinner with me tomorrow night?”

I responded with a slow, hypnotic nod. “That would nice.”

“Good. Let’s do that. I’d like to get to know you more.”

I was about to respond when we heard laughter.

Damon lifted his hand. “I’ll leave first, if you like. And you can wait a few moments. It’s Evan at play.” He raised a brow.

I smiled and appreciated how sensitive Damon was about my situation there. Despite my inexperience with men, so far all I’d experienced were selfish losers who were only interested in my bra-cup size.

When I returned to my room, I was way too scattered to focus on my music assignment, so I called Amy instead.

“Hey, babe. How’s working for the sexiest billionaire on the planet going?”

I laughed. “Have you seen all the billionaires to compare?”

“Nope. But hey, the Manson boys are gorgeous.”

“Men, more like it.” I sighed.

Evan was more a man-child, not so attractive, but Damon, with that deep voice and thoughtful intelligence, was a man. A hot-blooded man.

The makings of an orgasm fluttered through me just from rocking gently over a pillow.

“He kissed me.” I walked over to the window and stared out to the sky when a white streak flashed before me. “Oh my god, I just saw a shooting star.”

“Make a wish now.”

I took a breath and saw Damon’s handsome face and that look of arousal burning into his gaze.

“He kissed you?” Amy sounded starstruck, like she’d experienced the kiss herself.

“Yep. Damon kissed me.”

“I bet it was dreamy.”

“Oh, it was more than that. I’m on fire.”

“You’re going to have to let him fuck you.”

“I really want him to. But what if I get too attached? And then there’s this job. I’m also cleaning for him.”

“That part’s easy. Make sure you wear a short skirt and no panties, and do a lot of bending over in front of him.”

I laughed. “You’re fucking sick.” My clit throbbed thinking of that little fantasy.

“Look, just go with it. And hey, if it doesn’t work, do what most women have been doing forever,” she said.

“And what’s that?”

“Just let him fuck you and remain in your job until your degree. Don’t let fear stop your fun. Enjoy life. Enjoy his penis.”

“My god, Amy, you make it sound so easy.” I giggled at her pragmatic take on fucking my boss. She did make sense, though.

But would it be just fun? If only a kiss drowned me in this much emotion, what would I be like going all the way?

Damon had a certain intensity about him. That’s why I liked him. He struck me as deep, if not mysterious at times. Mainly that preoccupied, distant gaze. I recognised it well enough. Anxiety was my middle name.

“It’s all in your head, love. He’s obviously into you. And he’s thirty-two. Make him continue to want you.”

“What’s age got to do with it?”

“Well, he must be ready to settle down,” she said.

“I don’t want to marry anyone. I’m determined to stay single.”

“You’re nuts. Marriages aren’t all fucked up.”

“Whatever. I didn’t even like men until I met Damon.”

“That’s sexist.”

“I thought sexism was more men hating women.”

“Mainly. But it’s also unfair to hate men,” she said. “I’ve met and known lots of decent men in my life. I hope to marry one. Well, maybe not so nice. I don’t mind a bit of a bad boy.” She giggled.

“Not on my watch, baby girl. Bad boys grow up to be wife beaters. Remember that.”

“It’s not so black and white, Thea. In any case, that’s our role to tame them. You know, like Beauty and the Beast.”

“But that’s a fairy tale.”

Did Damon have beast in him? That thought brought back the relentless throb in my panties.

“Whatever. I can look after myself,” she added. “And you need a little more resilience. This oversensitivity of yours is a fun thief.”

I sighed. “You’re right. As always. I love you, Amy.”

“I love you too. When are you coming to town?”

“Like real soon. I need to do some shopping for new clothes.”

“Yay. A shopping spree. Love that idea. I need your sharp eye. You’re great at second-hand.”

I laughed at her referring to our shopping at charity shops together. “I can actually buy new now.”

“Woo-hoo, look at you. All cashed up. And about to bonk a billionaire.”

A smile cracked my face. “I’m not that cashed up. But my credit cards are sad from a lack of a workout. I’m debt-free for the first time ever.” My heart sang at that admission. “And I’m not sure about fucking Damon.”

“I’ll drum some sense into that virgin brain of yours. And then you’ll see how nice penises really are.”

I thought of Damon holding his big dick.

I already know that.

“I’m lucky to have you, Amy.”

“Always here for you, babe. And remember sex is fun. It’s good for you.”

“I’ve got to finish an assignment. Speak soon. Luv ya.”

“Luv ya back.”
