Chapter 255 If You Like Them, Buy Them All

Luca's eyes lit up. He leaned down to deepen the kiss. After a while, Olivia pushed him away, her face red.

"Okay, I'm getting up."

She climbed out of bed, washed up quickly, and changed into a light beige casual dress with a pair of white sneakers. She looked fresh and gentle.

Luca put on a simple white T-shirt and dark casual pants. He had lost his usual sharp look from work and seemed more like a gentle guy next door.

On the table was a fancy French breakfast: croissants baked crispy outside and soft inside, paired with fresh berries, warm milk, and Olivia's favorite runny eggs. Luca carefully tore the croissant into small pieces and handed them to her. "Eat slowly, don't choke. We have plenty of time."

Olivia took a bite of the bread and saw the gentleness in Luca's eyes. Her heart felt sweet. "You eat too, don't just take care of me."

"Okay." Luca agreed, picked up a piece of bread, but his eyes stayed on Olivia. He couldn't get enough of looking at her.

They finished breakfast slowly. Luca grabbed the canvas bag he'd prepared earlier and held Olivia's hand as they left the hotel.

Paris in the morning had fresh air. The streets weren't crowded yet. The European-style buildings looked extra soft in the morning light. Flower shops along the road had colorful fresh flowers, and the scent filled the air.

Luca had booked a car ahead of time. It drove smoothly toward Paris's famous flea market.

Soon, the car stopped at the flea market entrance. As soon as Olivia got out, she was drawn to the lively scene.

The long street was lined with all kinds of stalls: vintage furniture, delicate jewelry, old books, handmade woven items—everything you could imagine, too much to take in.

French vendors calling out, people bargaining, tourists laughing—it was full of everyday life.

Olivia's eyes sparkled. She pulled Luca's hand and walked in. "Wow, this place is so fun, even better than I imagined!"

"Slow down." Luca gripped her hand with a mix of helplessness and fondness, staying by her side to protect her.

Olivia was too curious. She stopped at every stall to look.

She paused at a stall selling vintage jewelry. It had all sorts of old necklaces and earrings, unique styles with signs of age.

She picked up a ring with a light purple gem. The gem wasn't big, but it was cut nicely, vintage and elegant.

"Like this one?" Luca leaned in close and looked at the ring in her hand.

Olivia nodded, then shook her head. "The style is nice, but it's a bit worn. Just looking." She didn't like waste, so vintage jewelry was fun to see but not to buy.

The owner was a grandma with white hair. She smiled at Olivia's gentle look and said something in French. Luca whispered, "She says this ring is one she wore when she was young, handmade and one of a kind. Want to try it on?"

Olivia smiled shyly and slipped it on her ring finger. It fit perfectly, making her fingers look even whiter and slimmer.

Luca saw the ring on her hand, a flash of amazement in his eyes. He told the grandma right away, "We'll take this ring."

Before Olivia could say no, Luca had paid. Olivia tugged his shirt corner and whispered, "Why'd you buy it? I was just trying it."

"It looks good on you." Luca held her hand with the ring and kissed the back of it. "Think of it as a little gift I picked from the flea market. It's not expensive, but if you like it, that's what matters."

Olivia's heart warmed. She didn't argue, carefully took off the ring, put it in her bag, and treasured it.

They kept walking. Olivia stopped at a stall with handmade fabric items: cute fabric dolls, small wallets, printed fabrics in bright colors, all well-made.

She picked up a bunny fabric doll. The ears were soft, eyes made of black beads, super cute.

"This is so adorable. Should we buy it for Leo? He'd love it." Olivia held it up and looked back at Luca, her eyes shining.

"Sure, buy it if you like." Luca smiled and nodded. He supported anything Olivia wanted.

The owner was a young French woman who said with a smile that she made the bunny herself and it meant peace and happiness. Luca paid, put the doll in the canvas bag, and smiled thinking of Leo's happy face.

After a bit of walking, Olivia got tired. There was a small cafe by the road with outdoor seats. Luca led her there and helped her sit. "Rest here. I'll get you a coffee."

"I want a hot latte, low sugar," Olivia said with a smile.

"Got it." Luca ruffled her hair and went into the cafe.

Soon, he came back with two lattes and handed her the hot one. "Careful, it's hot. Drink slowly."

Olivia took it and sipped. The warm coffee went down smooth, sweet and rich, and her tiredness faded.

"This place is really fun, way better than fancy malls." Olivia leaned back in her chair, looked at Luca, and smiled.

"If you like it, we can come often." Luca sat across from her, watching her smile, feeling completely happy.

He used to think these street markets were noisy and messy, never wanted to go. But now with Olivia, even just wandering aimlessly felt perfect.

After resting, they walked on. Olivia stopped at a stall with vintage design books: old jewelry design catalogs and hand-drawn sketches, yellowed paper but still showing the old craftsmanship.

Olivia's eyes lit up. She loved collecting vintage design books. These old things had unique ideas not in modern books.

She squatted down and flipped through them carefully, her fingers brushing the yellow pages, full of love in her eyes.

Luca squatted beside her, looking with her. He didn't know much about design, but her focus made her extra attractive.

"These books are so precious. Didn't expect to find them here." Olivia said softly, excited.

"If you like them, buy them all." Luca glanced at the stall and said casually.

Olivia shook her head fast. "No need, just pick a few favorites. Too many and we can't carry them." She chose three vintage jewelry design books and one hand-drawn flower design sketch, all styles she loved.
