Chapter 17: I Can Take Care of You

Only by meeting Jennifer could he confirm that she didn't reject him.

"William, you have to listen to your dad and be good, and I still..."

Jennifer wanted to refuse, but after these few interactions, she found herself liking William more and more, and the feeling was solid and strong.

It was not good for them to meet again.

But before she could refuse, a cold voice came through the phone, "Address."

The word naturally came from Michael.

"I'm in the Golden Villa."

For some reason, Jennifer felt pressured when facing Michael.

She truthfully reported the address, not knowing why she was timid.

However, when he heard Jennifer's address, Michael subconsciously questioned it, then coldly responded, "Wait for me."

"Okay."

Jennifer responded to the disconnected call and found a seat in the nearby dessert shop.

In less than ten minutes, Michael arrived, carrying William who was wrought up.

"Auntie."

As soon as he saw Jennifer, William ran towards her as if he had taken a speed-up pill, burying himself in her arms.

It was as if he had regained a long-lost treasure, as the fluffy little head nestled in Jennifer's arms. Feeling the familiar breath, his anxious heart instantly calmed down.

But still, he was pouting, looking at Jennifer with regret and sadness, "I thought I would never see you again."

From now on, he must always wake up earlier than Jennifer, so she wouldn't secretly leave.

In William's mind, he had already decided that in the future, they would sleep together.

Jennifer saw William and felt a warmth in her heart. She smiled lightly and placed William on her lap, saying, "I’m just going to find a job, not to leave William."

William was puzzled, he asked, looking up, "Why do you have to work? I can take care of you."

God!

These words made Jennifer's heart beat faster, feeling a sense of gratification as if a mother was watching her son growing up.

She felt a bit happy as she explained to William, "Everyone needs to work, just like you see Daddy does, right?"

William still didn't understand and asked again, "Have you found a job?"

At the mention of it, Jennifer thought of Jessica, a surge of resentment flashed in her eyes uncontrollably, followed by a vaguely shaking of her head, "No."

Every movement and expression of hers could not escape the sharp eyes of Michael.

Sitting across from her, Michael noticed her resentment and raised his eyebrows slightly, realizing that Jennifer indeed had some secrets.

In a cold tone, he asked, "What kind of job?"

Jennifer didn't want to recall, and casually replied, "Just a home tutor."

"Auntie, do you want to be a home tutor?"

William, whose emotions had been fluctuating, suddenly perked up, his eyes flashing like neon lights as he looked energetically at Jennifer, "Daddy is about to find me a home tutor. Auntie, will you be my home tutor?"

After speaking, he turned back and looked expectantly at Michael, "Daddy, I want her to be my home tutor."

"William."

Michael's voice was heavy, indicating that he shouldn't mess around.

Jennifer found Michael's rejection and quickly explained to William, "I'm still new at this, and I'm afraid I won't be able to teach you well. Your daddy will find you a better home tutor."

The Whitfield family naturally looked for top talent. Setting aside other factors, Jennifer felt that she hadn't reached the level of being top-tier.

"No, I want you to be my home tutor."

William, who had just calmed down, began to go crazy in Jennifer's arms again, tightly gripping Jennifer's clothes with his small hands.
