Chapter 130 Chapter 130

Chapter 130 Chapter 130

Logan groaned softly as he turned over in his sleep. His eyelids fluttered open, his vision still slightly blurry as he stared up at the ceiling. He remained still for a few moments, trying to piece together everything that had happened the previous night.

He remembered meeting Liam.

The restaurant.

The club.

The drinks.

After that...

Everything became a blur.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember how he'd gotten home.

His eyes slowly widened.

"Oh God..." He muttered, rubbing a hand over his face. "Chase must be so mad."

He quickly tried to sit up, but the moment he did, a sharp pain shot through his head.

"Ah..."

He winced and immediately held his temples, squeezing his eyes shut.

His head felt like it was splitting apart.

"I am never doing this again." He grumbled under his breath.

After sitting there for a minute, the throbbing eased enough for him to open his eyes again.

He was about to climb out of bed when something on the bedside table caught his attention.

A breakfast tray.

Resting neatly on it was a bowl of hangover soup, a glass of water, and a folded sticky note.

Logan smiled to himself.

He picked up the note and unfolded it.

''I knew you'd wake up with a hangover, so I made this soup first. Have it when you wake up and get some more rest. I'm leaving to do some groceries, just in case you don't find me when you wake up. I love you, baby.''

The smile on Logan's face grew even brighter.

"Get some rest?" He murmured fondly. "How am I supposed to do that when all I want is to see you?"

Carefully folding the note back up, he opened the drawer of the bedside table.

Inside were dozens of neatly kept sticky notes.

Every single one Chase had ever written for him.

Logan gently placed the newest one inside before closing the drawer with a smile.

Only then did he reach for the soup.

The first spoonful instantly warmed him.

His eyes widened slightly.

"so good..."

He continued eating until the bowl was completely empty.

By the time he'd finished, the pounding in his head had eased considerably.

He placed the tray back on the table before getting up and heading into the bathroom to shower.

A short while later, he stepped back into the bedroom dressed in a fresh hoodie and sweatpants.

He picked up the tray once more and walked out into the living room.

Just as he'd expected... The apartment was quiet.

Chase still hadn't returned.

Logan couldn't help sighing. "I really wanted to see him..." He muttered.

He went to the kitchen and washed the dishes before returning to the living room and dropping onto the couch to wait.

A few minutes later, his phone vibrated.

Thinking it was Chase, Logan immediately reached for it.

Instead...

It was Liam.

The first message read : ''Hey, how are you feeling?''

Another message arrived almost immediately.

''I'm really sorry I made you drink so much last night. I got too excited and carried away. I hope you're not mad at me.''

Before Logan could reply, another text popped up.

''My apologies to your boyfriend too. He looked like he wanted to kill me last night. He even warned me not to ever get you drunk again. Haha.''

Logan blinked. "Chase actually said that?"

A small guilty smile appeared on his face.

Without thinking much about it, he pressed Liam's contact and called him.

The call connected almost immediately.

"Hello?" Liam answered cheerfully.

"Hey." Logan replied. "I just saw your messages."

"I was worried about you. How's your head?"

"It feels like someone hit me with a truck." Logan laughed. "But I'm good."

Liam chuckled softly. "It's all my fault, I'm really sorry about that."

"It's okay." Logan smiled. "Don't blame yourself. I was the one who kept drinking too."

Just as Liam was about to respond...

The front door opened.

Logan instinctively turned toward the sound.

His face immediately lit up.

Chase walked inside carrying several grocery bags.

Their eyes met.

A smile spread across Chase's face the moment he saw Logan sitting there.

Logan couldn't help smiling back.

"I'm sorry, Liam." He said into the phone. "I'll have to call you later."

"No problem." Liam replied. "Talk to you soon."

"Yeah."

Logan ended the call without another thought.

He hurried across the living room and threw his arms around Chase the moment he reached him.

Chase laughed softly, shifting the grocery bags to one side before wrapping an arm securely around Logan's waist.

"Good morning, sleepyhead."

Logan buried his face against Chase's shoulder.

"Good morning..." He mumbled, hugging him a little tighter.

"I missed you so much." He whined softly.

Chase couldn't help but chuckle. ''I only went out to buy some groceries." He smiled. "And I even left you a note."

Logan finally pulled back and looked up at him, pouting.

"I know... but it would've been better if you were the first person I saw when I woke up."

Chase laughed quietly and ruffled his hair.

"And whose fault is that?" He teased. "How are you feeling? You don't still have a headache, do you? Maybe you should get some more rest."

Logan shook his head.

"I'm okay now." His smile slowly faded as guilt settled on his face. He nervously bit his lower lip before lowering his gaze. "I'm sorry."

Chase's expression softened immediately.

He placed the grocery bags on the floor before gently cupping Logan's face.

"Baby..."

"I didn't tell you because I didn't want you getting upset." Logan admitted quietly. "But I swear... I was going to tell you after I got back. I never planned on hiding it forever. I just... I didn't think things would turn out like that."

"I know." Chase replied softly.

He gently stroked Logan's cheek with his thumb.

"And I'm not angry because you met Liam."

Logan slowly looked up.

"I'm hurt because you felt like you couldn't tell me." Chase continued. "I would've never stopped you from seeing an old friend."

He sighed.

"But what if something had happened?" His voice became quieter. "I had no idea where you were. I couldn't reach you. You weren't answering my calls." His eyes searched Logan's. "Do you know how scared I was? I kept thinking something terrible had happened."

Logan's heart tightened.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

"I know you are."

Chase stepped closer and wrapped both arms around his waist.

"I just don't want us keeping things from each other." He rested his forehead against Logan's. "You're the most important person in my life. If something happened to you..."

He couldn't even finish the sentence.

Logan immediately hugged him tightly.

"It won't happen again." He promised. "Next time, I'll tell you everything."

A smile finally returned to Chase's face.

"Thank you."

He leaned forward and captured Logan's lips in a slow, loving kiss.

Logan melted into it instantly, kissing him back with just as much affection.

For a few peaceful seconds, the world disappeared around them.

Reluctantly, Chase pulled away before the kiss deepened any further.

"I better stop now." He laughed softly. "We've still got a lot to do today."

Logan raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile spreading across his face.

"We could always do them later."

Chase groaned dramatically. "Baby... please don't tempt me."

Logan grinned proudly.

"Fine." He shrugged. "But we're continuing exactly where we stopped after we're done."

Chase laughed. "I would want nothing more."

Logan bent down, picked up a few grocery bags and headed toward the kitchen.

"I'll help."

Chase smiled helplessly before grabbing the remaining bags and following after him.

"I seriously love this guy." he muttered to himself with a grin.

Laughter echoed through Liam's apartment.

Three of his friends were gathered in the living room, arguing over a football match while snacks and drinks were scattered across the coffee table.

Liam wasn't paying attention.

He sat alone on the couch near the window, his phone resting in his hand.

On the screen were several photos he'd secretly taken of Logan the previous day.

One was of Logan smiling while talking.

Another captured him laughing.

The last one was taken when Logan wasn't looking, sunlight illuminating his face perfectly.

Liam stared at it for a long moment.

A slow smile spread across his lips.

His fingertips brushed lightly over Logan's face on the screen before moving to touch his own lips.

The memory of their brief kiss came rushing back.

Even though Logan had been unconscious of it, Liam could still remember exactly how soft his lips had felt.

His heart began beating faster.

"I finally kissed you..." He whispered to himself.

He closed his eyes for a brief second, savoring the memory before opening them again.

His smile slowly disappeared.

His thoughts drifted to Chase.

The warmth in his eyes faded, replaced by jealousy.

He tightened his grip around his phone.

"It should've been me."

His gaze returned to Logan's smiling face.

"I know this won't happen overnight." His voice was calm. "But I can wait."

His thumb slowly traced Logan's picture once more.

"One day..."

A possessive smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"...you're going to look at me the same way you look at him."

The laughter of his friends continued in the background, completely unaware that Liam wasn't listening to a single word they were saying.

His entire world had narrowed down to one person.

Logan.
