Chapter 704: Tristan

The short guy suddenly started picking on Ronald, making the atmosphere in the bar as cold as an icebox.

Some patrons began to sneak out, fearing the impending conflict might affect them.

After all, these officers from the Fourth Fleet were known for their ruthlessness. They could kill for fun whenever they pleased.

The short guy continued to glare at Ronald. "What did you mean by that? You said I'm damn interesting!"

His eyes were as sharp as knives, the kind only a blood-stained thug could have.

But Ronald just kept smiling.

He calmly replied, "You are damn interesting!"

The short guy's face darkened, and his hand slowly reached inside his coat, making no effort to hide his movement from Ronald.

But then, out of nowhere, he pointed at Ronald and burst into laughter.

"Damn, this guy's got guts! I almost thought I had you scared!"

The other pirates nearby laughed loudly too.

"Hey, Trent, you owe us two machine guns!"

The short guy, Trent Obelon, shook his head helplessly. "I underestimated him!"

Ronald kept his smile, watching these unpredictable pirates.

These childish tricks might fool others, but compared to him, these pirates' so-called evil deeds were nothing more than child's play.

He was the real deal.

"Who sent you here?"

Ronald downed his whiskey and placed the empty glass on the counter, casually telling the bartender, "You didn't use enough sedative."

The bartender's face changed slightly, but he just smiled and took the glass away.

Trent said to Ronald, "Come on, someone wants to see you. He's very interested in what you said today."

A glint of amusement flashed in Ronald's eyes.

He knew those greedy and arrogant pirates couldn't ignore his words.

No matter how much Elliot tried to forbid it, someone would always take the risk.

Otherwise, they wouldn't be pirates.

Ronald followed the four pirate officers into a car, driving around the island for a while before arriving at a massive ironclad ship.

This was the base of the Skywyrm Corsairs' Fourth Fleet.

And that huge ironclad ship was the flagship of the Fourth Fleet's captain, Tristan.

After hearing Ronald's speech, this brown-skinned, hook-nosed pirate from the southern seas felt a strong desire.

He had heard about the havoc Eroding Moon had caused in the Silvercrest District.

In his eyes, if a mere thirteen wanderers could give the Silvercrest District such a headache, then his powerful Fourth Fleet, with thousands of pirates and over thirty powerful psychics, could do even more.

If he could team up with Eroding Moon and raid that rich land, his name would become legendary!

He might even gain Elliot's favor and become the leader of the seven fleet divisions!

Ronald arrived at Tristan's quarters.

The brown-skinned, hook-nosed man stared at him with a sinister gaze.

"Wanderer! Is what you said in front of the Skywyrm King true?"

"Is the Silvercrest District really as weak as you claim?"

Ronald's smile deepened.

He spread his hands and said, "Of course not! If we were to face them head-on, like attacking their headquarters, Blizzard City, we thirteen wouldn't stand a chance."

"I have a very clear understanding of that."

"But," he raised his voice a few notches, "their territory is vast! Bigger than most countries."

"But they don't have enough manpower to defend every inch of it!"

Ronald extended his hand to Tristan. "We won't be foolish enough to confront them directly. We'll keep harassing them, wearing them down."

"Then, we can take whatever we want."

"If Eroding Moon acts alone, our gains are limited. That's why I'm here to seek your cooperation."

"With the strength of the Skywyrm Corsairs, you can plunder to your heart's content."

Ronald shrugged, a hint of regret in his voice. "It's just a shame I overestimated the Skywyrm King's courage!"

A flash of murderous intent crossed Tristan's eyes as he shouted, "Shut up! Who do you think you are to judge our king?"

Ronald smiled lightly, pushing his hands forward. "Sorry, sorry, no offense meant."

"It's just that such a golden opportunity, once missed, won't come again."

He smiled warmly. "And you won't find partners like us easily."

Tristan squinted his eyes.

He slowly said, "Our biggest problem in reaching the Silvercrest District from the southern seas is their navy."

"Do you have a way to help us bypass their naval defenses?"

Ronald nodded with a smile.

"Of course."

"If we couldn't, how did we land there in the first place?"

With Marlee's help, they could avoid all dangers, except for that one time with Steven.

"Interesting, very interesting."

Tristan's cold eyes fixed on Ronald. After a long pause, he finally grinned. "In that case, let's do this together!"

Ronald laughed. "Here's to a successful partnership!"

Before he finished speaking, a cold gun was pressed against his forehead.

"Don't try any tricks, or I'll kill you myself!"

Ronald ignored the gun at his forehead.

"Of course, we're partners now, aren't we?"

...

Meanwhile, Steven had only stayed in Starlight City for a day.

He handed the four compound drugs to Elinor, who scraped off some powder for research, while Steven kept the rest for emergencies.

Then he took a few people back to Blizzard City.

This time, besides Lily and Fluffy, he brought Cindy along.

The three of them took the Blizzard City express train to Blizzard City.

As soon as they got off the train, they saw two familiar faces.

Two bodyguards in black combat uniforms and sunglasses.

Not Shadow Sentinels or the city defense force, but private bodyguards of the Nelson family, practically private soldiers.

Steven suspected the Nelson family had a considerable force at their disposal.

"Mr. Rogers, Mr. Gerald Nelson has sent us. He would like to invite you to lunch today. Would that be convenient for you?"
