Chapter 257: 257. Milton

Never had a woman been more direct with him than Eluvene. He liked that about her. He liked many things about her, he realized. From the way her eyes shone when they talked about something she was passionate about to her smile—not the forced one, but the one she had reserved for Fluffy. Yes, he, Milton, the Royal Fire Mage of Nordmar, was jealous of a wyvern. But one day, Eluvene would smile like that at him.

Eluvene dragged her cunt along his hard cock, making him groan with need, with hunger. He was starving for her.

“I need to bathe,” he said more for himself than her.

“There’s a functional bathtub in the house,” she let him know while she kept rubbing up and down his hard erection, driving him mad with lust. He needed to be inside her, to unite not only their bodies, but their souls as well.

“Join me,” he proposed.

“I already bathed,” she refused.

He kissed the corner of her mouth. “Wait for me in bed? I won’t take long.”

Eluvene slid down on the sofa and picked up the book. “I’ll be waiting right here.”

The corners of his mouth twitched. He used to find her stubbornness outrageous, but now, it amused him. His entire perception of her changed because of what the Black Tower showed him. He liked to think that even without the tower, he would have stopped fighting her on his own time, but that meant losing precious time with her, time he didn’t have.

The Black Tower had meant to shattered his spirit, instead it helped him pull his head out of his ass. Strange how things sometimes worked.

Milton stood and went to the bathroom. He took his time cleaning himself, wanting their first time to be special, something they would remember for the rest of their lives.

When no trace of the past days remained on his body, he got on his knees in the middle of the floor and prayed for Elen’s soul and asked for forgiveness as he was moving on with his life which meant breaking his promise but he could no longer keep it as he was in love with Eluvene and he needed to be with her. His soul craved Eluvene and was tired of fighting his feelings.

Only when he felt peace wash over him did he return to Eluvene. A towel hung low on his waist. He stopped on the threshold to admire her. She was on the sofa, reading, just as she promised. Her legs were tucked beneath her but he wanted them around his waist while he pressed her against a wall and owned her cunt. He wanted to take her hard and fast, but he wanted to be gentle and loving at the same time.

His gaze fell on the swell of her tits.

Had she always been so beautiful? So breathtaking? He must have been blind all this time. How else could he explain his fixation on all the negative things about her, missing what was in front of him?

“Are you going to stand there all day long, or are you going to finally fuck me?”

He loved how direct she was, how she didn’t hesitate to tell him what she needed and wanted. His legs moved of their own accord, taking him to her.

“I don’t want to only fuck you, I want to own you body and soul,” he said, his eyes dark with need.

Eluvene put the book away and looked him dead in the eyes. “I’m all yours.”

He wanted everything, and she was willing to give it to him.

“Take off the tunic. I want to see all of you,” he demanded.

His hunger for her reached such a point that he needed to feel all of her under his palms and lips to quench it. Even then, it won’t be enough. He didn’t know such hunger could exist. It consumed him. It burned from the inside out.

Blood rushed to Eluvene’s cheeks, turning them rosy. “I’d like to keep it on,” she insisted.

He melted before her. “Eluvene,” he murmured, “I need to see all of you. I need to taste every inch, every part of your body. There’s this… hunger, this craving inside me that only you can satisfy.”

Green eyes met brown eyes. Hesitation shone in her eyes.

She swallowed hard. Something was bothering her. “I… I have scars.”

Scars.

Eluvene had scars, and she was hiding them from him. Someone had hurt her, leaving behind evidence on her soft skin. Someone had hurt the woman he loved, and something primal awoke inside him. He wanted to kill that ‘someone.’ No, he wanted to torture ‘someone’ in the most cruelest way before sending him to Beliar.

“I have scars too,” he said, showing her several of them.

“Mine are… worse.”

“Let me be the judge of that.”

Tears filled her eyes as she removed her tunic. Deep, angry red scars covered her stomach and chest. It was as if claws slashed her skin, and she healed slowly, without the help of magic or healing plants. Her Darkness, which was always wrapped around her, cleared away, revealing more scars on her neck. Some reached her jaw.

“Who did this to you?” he growled. Anger rose inside him, threatening to burn everything in its path. He finally understood Rhobart’s desperation, pain, and wrath when faced with Ayla’s scars, because he was feeling them right now.

“The Dark Master,” she replied.

“Your father!?”

Eluvene pressed her lips together. “He’s not my father.”

“But you… called him that.”

She denied it with several shakes of her head. “He is the one who called me daughter, but that’s a lie. He thinks that I don’t remember the day he took me from my mother, but I do. I still remember the taste of fear and copper on my tongue as he struck me across the face while I cried, as he dragged me away from my mother’s house.”

Oh, Gods. This woman, this precious woman before him, had been taken from her loving home and forced to live a life that she never wanted.

“The Dark Master, Magnus, made sure I’d never have a home to return to.”

The more Eluvene revealed, the angrier Milton became.

“My brother, Haja, was sick. For days, high fever and stomach pain tormented him. My mother tried to find a Fire Mage to help, but none were where we lived. Or no one wanted to help. My mother was forced to sell her body each night for a couple of copper coins so she could feed my brother and me. I don’t know how she met Magnus, but she invited him over.” Her voice cracked, and her eyes filled with tears. “He tried to buy me from my mother in exchange for a healing potion, but my mother refused. So, Magnus killed her and Haja then took me to his house, where he tried to make me forget my former life.”

“These scars are his own doing?”

Eluvene nodded. “Punishments for not doing what he wanted or reminders to never bring up my mother and brother, and to think of him as my father. I learned quickly how to avoid bringing out the worst of him and say what he wants to hear, but the punishments never stopped.”

After a moment of silence, Eluvene added something that made Milton want to burn down what was left of the village.

“The main reason why he gave me these scars is that no man would ever find me beautiful. That way, I would never leave his side.”

Milton wanted to go after Magnus right that instant and make him pay for everything Eluvene had to endure. Eluvene needed him, so he stayed.

He had judged this woman harshly, not stopping to wonder why she became a Dark Mage. He assumed she was evil and treated her accordingly to his beliefs. Guilt washed over him. He had failed her. He had pushed her away when he should have loved her.

No more, he vowed.

“You are beautiful, never doubt that,” he said truthfully. The look on her face told him she didn’t believe him.

Milton did something he had been denying himself from the moment they met—he picked her up in his arms and took her to the bedroom.

“For the next couple of hours, I will show you how beautiful I truly find you,” he promised as he placed her on the bed and removed the towel before covering her body with his.

I am already working on the next part and it should be ready in 2-3 days.
