Bianca

Amaya’s POV

Stephanie helped me get dressed, she did my hair and my makeup. I didn’t want something glamorous just a little bit to compliment my natural beauty. I wore a necklace Adric got for me, it complimented my ring.

“All eyes will be on you,” Stephanie says.

That is something I didn’t want. We hear a knock on the door, it is Adric. He wore a blue suit that was the same shade as my dress, he looked good. I didn’t miss the button he left open that exposed his tattoos.

Stephanie is wrong, all eyes are going to be on him. I would have to make sure everyone knows he is mine, I can’t still remember those thirsty bitches in high school I don’t think any of them would have changed, but they will still try to hit on Adric. I won’t let that happen.

He places his hand in mine.

“I want a picture.” Stephanie grins taking out her phone from her pocket to get a picture of us.

“Send it to me.”I smile and she nods.

Adric guides me out to the room, I glanced at the phone screen that came on. It has a picture of me, one I can’t remember him taking. I laid on his chest in the picture.

Cute.

“We could have a quickie before we leave.”

“Stephanie is going to kill me, she worked so hard for this makeup.” I smile, I didn’t even know she could do this until now.

“Just one round.”

“You are going to have to wait till tonight.” I smiled, and I applied more of the lipgloss to my lips.

The drive to the place was filled with comfortable silence, my head lay against his chest listening to his heartbeat, it calmed me down.

I can do this, my subconscious says.

I walked out of the car, the party was located at a mansion, I expected it to be in a hotel hall, I focused my sight on some familiar faces who didn’t give a glance at me, they focused on the man beside me.

I am right, this is going to be a long night. I am going to hate every bit of it. I wrapped my hand around his.

“Marking your territory.” He asks and I roll my eyes.

“Shut up,” I mumbled against my breath.

“I love it when you are jealous. You know you have nothing to be worried about right.”

“I know but I have to do this.” I smile, and I walk further into the room. I didn’t miss the manner in which many heads turned when I walked in with Adric. He places his hand on my waist pulling me closer to him.

This felt more intimate than my hand on his.

“That is Connor,” I whispered, he stood by the bar with a girl, I think that should be his fiancée.

I walked toward him, he noticed my presence and a smile came onto his face.

“Maya.” I could tell he was about to hug me but one glare from Adric was enough for him to stay away from me.

Jealous much.

I wanted to make him more jealous so I stepped forward hugging Connor, his hand never left my waist. It stayed there pulling me back closer to him.

“Trying to make me jealous.” He whispers and I ignore him.

I am going to regret doing this, I know he is going to punish me for this behavior. someone one should say a prayer for my pussy.

“Adric,” he gives his hand to Connor in a professional manner.

“This is my fiancée, Calista.” He says smiling.

The girl gave me warm smile, she didn’t look happy coming here. There is something wrong but I couldn’t tell, maybe I am just overthinking things. My gaze meets her ring, it looked beautiful.

“I love your ring.” I smile,

“Thank you.” She whispers. She is polite. I expected her to be a bitch knowing I dated her boyfriend in the past but she wasn’t. She is mature about it and I like it, we would have been great friends if she had not engaged with Connor.

“How did you meet Maya?”

“In a cafe,” Adric answered coldly, can he be more childish about this?

“Let me guess she was rude, Maya is always rude to people when she meets them for the first time, I can still remember the first day we met.” He smiles.

Adric fumbles his fists in annoyance, and my hand instantly wraps against his trying to calm him down.

“Connor we have to meet other people.” I smile.

I didn’t like what he tried to do, it was exactly what Calla did to me when I first met her, she tried to make me feel she knew Adric more than I did which annoyed the hell out of me. I have no idea why Connor will try to do that, he has a beautiful girlfriend he should focus on her.

I walked further into the party with Adric when we stumbled against Bianca.

The bitch from high school.

“Maya.” She smiles, her eyes were not mine it was focused on his. “Who is the gentleman?.”

“My husband.” I smile showing her my ring her eyes widen.

“But Connor- we broke up a long time ago. We have to get going.” I smiled.

I hate everyone here, I shouldn’t have come.

“I hate them,” Adric says as if he were reading my mind.

“Not more than I do.” I smiled and he chuckled.

“Your ex wants to die.”

“What!.”

“He is annoying.” Adric finally says, he can’t kill Connor. I don’t care how much he has annoyed him, I don’t care about Connor but I won’t want him to be dead. I won’t be able to forgive myself knowing he died because of me, his poor girlfriend will be left alone.

“Let’s just have a drink, one dance then we can leave.” I smile, I glanced at the bar before suggesting that, Connor was no longer there.

A wave of relief washed over me, I settled for a glass of wine while Adric wanted something stronger so he went for rum.

“What’s wrong?.”

“I have something to take care of.”

“Adric,” I warned.

“I won’t kill him, you don’t have to worry about that.” He says and I nod, I choose to trust his words, and he leaves after a moment.

“Maya.”

God the amount of times someone has called my name, the music needs to be louder than this so I won’t have to hear them calling me.

“Maya.” The voice says again, I turned around and I was met by Connor. He had a weird smile. The one I recalled clearly when he always did something wrong.

“What is wrong?.” I asked.

“You still understand me.” He smiles. “You still know what that smile means.”

“Connor.” I begin to say but he stops me but placing his finger against my lips.

Adric is going to kill him.

“Where is Calista?.”

“She had something to take care of.” He smiles, it seems like he is lying about it. I know him enough to figure that out.

Something told me there was something more to the story.

“Where did you meet her?.”

“At bowling.” He lied.

Connor hates any form of sport, and he hates bowling because of his father.

“Why are you lying Connor?.” I ask.

“I didn’t want you to think I am pathetic. I am not engaged, I don’t have a girlfriend.”

“I am never going to think you are pathetic because of that, fuck Connor there was no need to lie,” I say.

He mumbled “Sorry” and I nodded. I wonder where she went, she must have left because she got tired of all the lies.

I take a sip of my wine, I take the bottle, and pour myself another one. I felt a hand on my thighs.

“Connor.” His hand didn’t leave my thighs, he had a tight grip on it. “Connor,” I called again and this time his hand left my thigh.

“I have to leave.”

“We should talk.”

“No,” I replied walking away, he should have not touched me, I wanted us to be friends but it looked like it was not going to happen. He was following me, I walked into the garden and blended with the people in it, I noticed him trying to find me.

Fucking asshole, I didn’t expect that from him.

Where the fuck is Adric.

I walked upstairs, looking around when I heard some noises coming from the end of the hallway. I strolled toward the door and opened it.

A gasp escaped my lips when I witnessed the sight in front of me.

Bianca is pressed against him, for fucks sake I have to deal with this.

“We are busy Maya, come back later.” She says in an annoying voice. I walked toward her, my hand making contact with her hair pulling her away from him.

She let out a screeching scream when she landed on the floor.
