Chapter 61 Best friend shouldn’t know how I taste
MAYA’S POV.
Evan was a fool. A complete idiot.
"How the hell did you have sex with three sisters. Triplets sisters to be exact. SISTERS." I screamed at the fool.
"Hey," He groaned clutching his head.
He was hungover from an insane party that HE threw. After messing up by getting involved with three sisters, he ran all the way to my house to escape the consequences of his foolish actions.
I sat down at the island in the kitchen while watching him grin at the microwave like a complete clown. He was so wasted and I was definitely not going to allow him to stay like this.
"Come on." I said trying to drag him up from his seat, which was a crazy task for me. He was like 6'2 greatly towering over my 5'8 figure and he was greatly built while I treat working out like it's a suicide mission.
He swayed for a moment and almost fell on the floor but I rushed to grab him.
"Hey dufus, don't do this come up." I managed to get him up to his feet and carried him up to my room, a task that took like thirty whole minutes.
“I swear to God, if you say you couldn’t tell them apart one more time, I will punch you in the throat, Evan!”
Once we got to the room it was like lever had been pulled because Evan started confessing like a witch. I went to the bathroom to get a wet towel for him and was met with an interesting sight once I stepped out.
He just stood there, shirtless, drunk and had a very stupid smirk on his face. And looking very, very guilty.
“Okay,” he slurred, leaning against the study table with the grace of a folding chair mid-collapse. “But in my defense... they all had the same voice, same perfume, and the same damn giggle, Maya. How the hell was I supposed to know which one was which when they were crawling all over me like sexy synchronized swimmers?!”
I gaped at the idiot. “You slept with all three of the Bennett triplets. All THREE of them."
He blinked. “Technically, I slept with one... like three times.”
“Evan!”
“They took turns!” he added defensively, raising both hands like the victim in a very confusing crime scene. “It was dark! I was drunk! There were too many ponytails!”
I had to rub my temples like I was trying to massage the stupidity out of existence. A headache was already growing at the thought of the chaos that would happen after this. “You know they’re practically identical, right? Emotionally. You probably just started a three-woman civil war and you’re the fucking prize. And may I add that they are all super insane.”
Evan grinned proudly. “Damn right they are insane, if you see what they did with the tongue.”
"Ew Evan just eww" I grimaced.
"But you just called me the prize." Evan pouted like I had kicked his favorite puppy.
“Not a compliment, jackass.”
He stumbled forward a bit, still shirtless, still smug, looking like some Greek god who wandered off from Mount Olympus and into chaos. “You’re just mad you weren’t invited.”
My eyes snapped to his. “Excuse me?!”
Evan's grin faltered. “That... came out wrong.”
“Oh, you think?”
I shoved a glass of water at him with annoyance and he took it like it might bite him.
“I’ve cleaned up your vomit, dragged you home from bars, and covered for you when you slept through finals,” I snapped. “But this? This is a new low. Even for you.”
Evan took a long, slow sip of water, then muttered into the glass, “They had matching lace underwear.”
“Oh my God.” I threw my hands up in disbelief.
He looked up at me, his eyes slightly glazed but suddenly excited. “Maya, I think I might be in trouble.”
“ Oh you think?” I stared at him.
“I think two of them are in love with me.” The idiot said with an enlightened expression.
“And the third?” I placed my palms on my forehead.
“Wants to kill me.” He said while looking scared.
I threw my hands in the air. “Of course she does. She’s the smart one.”
Evan staggered to the bed, flopped down like a fallen tree, and looked at her with those stupid, unfairly hot brown eyes. “You’re not mad-mad though, right?”
I crossed my arms. “Evan, I’m not even disappointed anymore. I’ve moved past that. I’m emotionally renting space in the land of What the Hell Did I Expect From You Of All People?.”
"I don't know what you mean by that." Evans said feigning innocence.
I shook my head knowing this conversation was going nowhere. He was obviously not in his right senses and he wasn't giving any normal answers.
"Go to bed." I pushed him down and covered him with my blanket. I made to leave by then I felt a strong grip on my wrist. I turned to see Evan holding me tightly while blankly staring with half opened eyes.
"Stay with me." He drawled and tugged my hand.
"Evan" I sighed and tried prying his hand off but he didn't give me a chance.
He pulled me onto the bed and wrapped his arms around me. "Oh God Evan no way. Let go of me." I tried to wiggle out of his hold.
"No." He hummed and held me tighter. He placed his head in the crook of my neck and took a deep breath.
I sighed and just gave up knowing he wouldn't let go of me. Once I calmed down a little it was like all my senses became heightened. My nostrils instinctively inhaled his scent which was a weird mixture of alcohol, wood and cinnamon.
I didn't know when my eyes closed and I want to sleep but before I went off I swear I heard Evan mumble something.
"I only kissed them because they looked like you."
