Chapter 11

"Take it, English."

Jane took the water bag, not bothering with the impossible man anymore.

Why was it so difficult for him to call her by her name?

She dampened her parched mouth and aggressively shoved the water bag into his hands.

Alexander narrowed his gaze to the puny woman who was taking to her feet. "Where ye going, English?"

"To take a leak!"

"Then I'll be coming with ye."

"You-you-you..."

Jane was dumbfounded with all sorts of weird ideas popping up in her head. Sure enough, her mother was right. Beautiful and stunning girls like herself are too attractive for men to pass on.

"You pervert!" Why do you want to go with her to take a leak?

The corners of Alexander's lips twitched.

"Relax, lass. Though you look mature enough, your bland body will not do anything for me."

Jane almost missed her step from incredulity.

Sure. Her bosoms were smaller than most but was he blind? Couldn't he see she was a great beauty?

Jane bit her lip, wanting to argue her case. He must have anticipated her actions for when she opened her mouth, he was already far ahead.

"Hey! Hey! Wait for me!"

Brodie, Dugo, and Leith looked at each other tactfully.

"Are ye seeing what a'm seeing?"

"Aye... If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would've bashed the skull of anyone who told me."

"Too unbelievable. But we best clean up before the Laird returns." They still had a long journey ahead of them.

On the other hand, Jane finally caught up with Alexander. To be more specific, Alexander suddenly stopped, causing her to slam her little nose into his back.

"Rude man! Why did you stop so abruptly?" Does he know how strong his back was?

Alexander's abrupt actions and coldness left Jane's mind blank.

"English. Don't waste my time or try anything stupid." He would know if she tried to escape.

It wasn't until he was gone that Jane awoke from her stupor.

What was wrong with this man? One minute he was lukewarm, and another he was cold.

Tsk.

As expected, a man's heart is as difficult to understand as finding a needle in a haystack. Jane felt apart from his godly face, he had no other redeeming qualities. But what did it have to do with her?

Jane shrugged and began her business. The moment she pulled down her undies, her bowls erupted like a volcano. She had been holding it in since she came.

Jand was embarrassed, hoping Alexander would hear the gushing sounds. Though unsanitary, she tore a piece off her chemise and used it as lavatory paper.

Jane felt aggrieved. It was her favorite chemise too.

'If I knew I was going to time travel, I should've prepared daily necessities before coming.'

She realized how luxurious modern toilet paper was.

Jane finished her business and was about to leave when the bushes suddenly came alive.

What was that?

A snake? A wild boar?... Whatever was approaching should be no taller than her thighs but this didn't make her feel any better.

Jane stood rigid with fear, feeling her legs blatantly disregarding the orders from her brain. She wanted to move but found she couldn't.

Alexander heard Jane's scream and rushed in. He had already scanned the place, knowing there shouldn’t be any dangerous creatures around. So what was wrong?

"Lass! Lass!"

Alexander was unaware of how panicked his voice sounded. The previously strong lass was now hugging him with tears in her eyes as soon as he arrived. Of course, one can't overlook the bloody stone in her hand.

It seems that though the lass was scared to death, she still found the courage to protect herself.

"Rude man. Rude man... I was so scared. I was so scared."

Alexander who has never coaxed anyone, unexpectedly felt the urge to do so.

Jane trembled so much that Alexander gently threaded his hands through her hair to calm her down.

He remained silent, listening to Jane's stammering words.

"Look at me, lass." The little thing kept her head down, fidgeting from side to side in obvious disbelief, fear, and panic.

Time stood still when Alexander met the lass's teary eyes. Their hearts drummed in synchronicity, as the space between them grew smaller.

Alexander's hand slid up her throat, stopping at her slender chin. The pressure of his tongue nestling with hers gave birth to an unfamiliar yet burning sensation that made her hungry for his touch.

Jane soon realized how quick a learner she was. Her tongue became feral and rebellious, wanting more than what he gave.

Jane soon found herself planted against a tree, as Alexander undid her buttons, sliding his hands down her perky blossoms.

"Lass, ye are sweet."

Jane released whimpers of pleasure as his tongue slid up and down her bosom, again and again.

This man was so skilled, enough to make her loins burn with craving. Jane questioned her sanity the more his tongue moved.

She knew she wasn't a loose woman, but she wanted him to go further.

As for the 'dangerous' animal in the woods it was only a harmless little hare. It was killed by Jane's own fierce blow. Even he was amazed at how accurate the little English lass with her attack.

"Rude man... Is it... Is it dead?"

"Aye. Ye killed it, lass. Ye could make anyone proud with that move."

"You celebrate its death?" Jane suddenly stopped crying, glaring at Alexander.

Now what did he do? Why did this woman look like she would smack him to death if he said more? The woman was a mystery to him.

For any Highlander woman to be praised for their hunting or killing skills was a big honor. But the little lass looked like she would faint from anger.

Alexander shook his head, reminding himself to never coax any woman again. Despite his good intentions, he got a mouthful of rage instead.

Alexander attributed her vexing nature to her English heritage.
