Chapter 2: #Chapter 2 Last person

One minute left.

He was confused how he should talk to her? How will she react seeing him after a long time?

He checked his watch and it was already 12:00 AM

Her birthday started.

He started dialling her number and hoping that she haven't changed hers because he didn’t changed his number in the past years hoping that she would ever call.

On the other hand, Selena was just thinking about him. She knew that she is in the same city with him. And her sixth sense was telling something is going to happen. But what?

While she was thinking, the phone in her hand started vibrating. She knew her birthday started but she wasn't expecting anyone to call her. Because she have no one now.

Just as when she looked at her phone screen, her heart skipped a beat.

Benedict calling....

He was the last person that she can expect would call her. She was still in shock when the call ended and she wasn't able to answer it. So many questions were going in her head and Again phone vibrated and he was calling again.

A small smile appeared on her lips and her vision was started getting blurry. Her heart was beating like crazy. She patted her chest and started saying, "Calm down heart, Calm down".

Benedict was just watching her and happy tears started falling on his cheeks. He was just observing her, her each and every action and how she reacted when she saw his name. He knows that he still affect her the same way like he did earlier. He was hoping her to pick the call but it was only ringing.

Selena wanted to answer his call but she was afraid of getting hurt again. Same day, same night, 5 years later.

She started hating her birthday after that day and was torn between answering the call or not.

After the huge battle between her heart and brain, heart won and she answered the call.

Both were silent for a minute and then "Happy Birthday"

Warm tears started falling on her cheeks. She wanted to say thank you but words were not coming.

He again said "Happy 25th Selena!"

Listening to his voice after 5 years, she can still tell that he is also crying. The next second when he said "Happy birthday Se-Selena"

She was right. His voice choked and he was sobbing.

The same old Benedict whom she knows!

She was smiling and her emotions were overflowing.  She didn't know what to feel and what not.

Gaining her courage she finally asked, "Why are you crying?"

Just listening to this, how much he wanted to go and hug her tightly. She still cares for him. She is still that selfless person whom he knew. She is still that Selena whom he loved, his only bestfriend, his human diary, his everything.

"I miss you"

And she was expecting this. She always knew what next that idiot would be saying.
