Chapter 43: Chapter Twenty-Two-2
I flipped him the bird and simultaneously chuckled, wandering over to said goody-two-shoes, snaking an arm around her waist. "What are you two chatting about?" I questioned, slyly smelling Rosie's strawberry scented hair. "Planning tomorrow," smiled Yazmin, casually leaning on the marble desk. "You two are in room 503. It's on the fourth floor and apparently the view is amazing," she continued, aiming her announcement at Rosie, no doubt knowing I couldn't give a shit about views. "I'm in 505," she added, still directing her speech at the woman clung to my side. "Knock for me in the morning and we'll spend the day with Roxy while the boys head to the photoshoot." "Okay," smiled Rosie, rather taking to the idea of girl time. "Thanks, Yaz!" I smiled, appreciative of her including Rosie in her plans. "You wanna get room service and head straight to bed?" I then asked, focusing my attention on my girl. "Would you mind? I'm shattered," she smiled, desperately trying to hide her yawn. Yasmin offered us both a sly smirk and handed us a card each, signalling towards the lift. "Six O'clock start, Will," she informed, business as usual. "Don't piss off Johnny." "When do I ever?" I protested, pulling Rosie along. "All the time. Night, lovebirds!" I threw her a knowing glance and decided to bite back, figuring she deserved nothing less. "Enjoy bedtime snuggles with Matt!" "Fuck you!" she laughed, turning in her stance. I quietly chuckled and soon found myself falling victim to that of a chest shove. "You should go easy on her," insisted Rosie, trying but failing to grab her suitcase. I took it from her before she could and proceeded to enter the lift with both our bags attached to my side, effortlessly showing off. "Why? She winds me up all the time," I defended, holding down the button for floor four. The elevator suddenly jerked and off we went. "She's in love with a man who, according to her, is off limits. That's not easy," she explained, fully on Yazmin's side. "He's not off limits though," I retorted, mostly for Matt's benefit. He was my best friend, after all. "That's your opinion, Will," she calmly replied, remaining incredibly patient. "Not everyone would agree with their relationship." The fact that she was unable to make eye contact with me suggested she was no longer referring to them. This was about us now. "Other people shouldn't dictate the happiness of two consenting parties," I stressed, staring at her intensely. "I know and I've accepted my feelings for you but that doesn't mean I'm not scared." Oh, sweetheart. "Ben will be happy you're happy." "Ben will be livid," she corrected, though did so rather humorously. Thank God! "Maybe at first but he'll come around eventually," I appeased, allowing her the pleasure of disembarking first. The corridor was long and elegant, making it difficult for us to locate our room at first. Fancy wallpaper lined the walls in bursts of beige and browns, honouring the fact that this hotel doted itself on the finer details. We were both too distracted to be paying much attention and by the time we did manage to stumble across room 503, Rosie failed to unlock the door. She was the one holding both keys, so when she stood frozen in place, I voiced my concerns. "Sweetheart?" The hand carrying the key cards shook with unavoidable force and that trembling chin of hers had returned, raring to go. "I've not been with anyone else," she shared, rather abruptly spewing her revelation against the huge wooden door. "Do you understand what I'm saying?" Her tone was frantic and full of terror; both of which were unnecessary emotions for her to be having. She was a virgin and it did absolutely nothing to deter my interest in her. "I understand." "I thought it best you know," she continued, still no further forward with the key. "Rosie?" "Yeah?" "Us sharing a bed this weekend does not automatically translate to sex," I informed, noticing her ranging blush. "Oh?" She sounded disappointed. "Not if you don't want it to," I added, quickly undoing my mistake. "Right." Her unconvinced tone prompted me to drop both our bags and position her so that she was forced to look directly into my eyes. "Don't ever doubt my desperation for you. I want nothing more than to know what it feels like to have you. All of you. I've thought of nothing else since meeting you." Her scarlet blush travelled further down her neck and disappeared beneath her top, no doubt reaching the tips of her perfect breasts. "And the fact that no other man has been there makes me dizzy. On one hand, I've no idea how such a beautiful thing can go twenty-two years untouched, yet on the other, the thought of anyone else experiencing you makes me raging mad." "Will," she breathed, fisting my shirt in both her hands. "There isn't anyone else. I've been waiting for you." My forehead fell to hers, both our breaths mingling together as one. I could smell her floral perfume, mixed together with the slight undertones of strawberry shampoo and knew if I didn't rectify the situation soon, I'd likely fuck her up against our hotel room door. "How about for now, we eat dinner?" I suggested, taking her blinding smile as confirmation. "You don't mind waiting?" she enquired, seeming unsure. I had to laugh. "I'm not an animal, Rosie." "Aren't you?" "Well, when I want to be," I smirked, unashamed. And with that, I encouraged her to open the door and for the first time, took in our home for the next few days. Our home.
