First Meeting
Rune couldn't help but look around as he tried to keep up with Leslie walking in front of him. It wasn't because she was going too fast that he hurried after her; it was because his eyes explored every open space in the house and he fell in love with the decor that screamed expensive taste. He immediately thought about Oliver's net worth and profession; he had hoped that many of these things would be learned before their first meeting, but that was not the case.
From Joshua's experience to his, it was undoubtedly unique. He wondered why it was so important for him to meet Oliver right away and why he couldn't wait until later, maybe after the afternoon trips to where he was headed. He could wait, but the thought of getting a post on their first meeting excited him.
He wasn't afraid to admit that he needed every dollar he could get right now. It was his main motivation for signing up for it, and he wasn't pretending otherwise. There was no other reason why he would need the services of a sugar daddy. He had no daddy issues; his father was a wonderful man who did everything he could for him; yet his parents did not know that he had lost his scholarship, and he could never bring himself to tell them.
"Sit there." It was only after Leslie's words that Rune realized they had entered his/her office.
Rune looked around before walking over to the leather sofa that Leslie motioned for him to sit on. "Would you like a drink?" Leslie offers as she unbuttons the first two buttons on her shirt and grabs a glass from her office bar and pours herself some infused water from the mini fridge.
Watching her with eyes wandering around, Rune decided he needed a cup of coffee after being woken out of bed at such a late hour, "coffee please and thank you."
"How do you like your coffee?"
"Light cream with two teaspoons of sugar." Leslie doesn't answer him, but she continues to the coffee machine in her office and starts making a cup of coffee for Rune.
Rune was nervous as he sat in the room watching Leslie make his coffee; he wasn't sure whether to say something or start a conversation. His first impression of Leslie suggested that he was dealing with someone who most likely wouldn't want him to talk until he was spoken to. He unsettled and intrigued him, especially given that Oliver had chosen him as a sugar baby and by all indications he had not yet been rejected.
Soon after, Leslie brought Rune a cup of coffee on a tray, gave him a napkin and said, "Let me know if you like it."
"Thank you," Rune said as he returned to the couch, taking the tray and placing it on his lap.
Leslie stood over him and stared at him, making Rune realize she was waiting for him to taste the coffee, which he immediately does to offer feedback.
"It's perfect, thank you."
Leslie walked over to her desk, sat down, began to open the desk drawer and pulled out a stack of documents. "What made you sign up to be a sugar baby?"
Rune was mid-sipping his coffee when he stopped to answer Leslie's question, "I signed up to pay my school fees and some outstanding obligations I have now."
After answering Leslie, Rune wondered if he could ask why Leslie was here instead of Oliver and why he had joined to become a sugar daddy, but he figured that maybe he didn't have the right to at the time.
