Chapter 159

Chapter 158

Mario and Liliana are seated opposite each other on one of the tables in the diner.

Mario couldn't help but stared at Liliana with excitement in his heart. Liliana, on the other hand, can't contain the joy of seeing him here.

In New York City!

She wasn't expecting it.

No doubt she is happy. She couldn't stop thinking about him since she left the mansion.

Now that he is here and in front of her, she is very excited.

The blonde diner girl walked towards them with two cups of coffee on a tray.

"Your coffee," the blonde girl said, placing the coffee in front of them.

"Thank you," Mario said as the blonde girl gave Liliana a wink before walking away.

Liliana smiled slightly, lowering her gaze.

"You both seem to know each other," Mario said.

Liliana nodded. "She is Molly. My cousin."

"Oh,"

"Yeah. I uh.... I came to help around," she said.

"That means you don't work here," Mario said.

She shook her head. "No. Just helping out."

"Nice," he said, staring at her.

His gorgeous blue eyes make her heart flutter.

"What are you doing here? I didn't expect to see you here in this city," she said.

He kept staring at her.

"Are you here for a business meeting or something? Were you passing by?" She asked.

He didn't respond but admired how flawless and sinless she looked.

She pursed her lips, feeling uneasy at the way he was staring at her.

"I came to see you, Liliana," he said.

She stared at him.

"I came looking for you just to tell you," he paused.

"Tell me what?"

"To tell you that I have fallen in love with you,"

Her heart fluttered as she stared at him.

"And I want to be with you," he added.

Liliana lowered her gaze as her heart raced.

"Please, come back with me," he said.

She looked at him.

"Not like my maid or my dad's maid. But as my girl. I promise not to hurt you or give you a reason to regret making any decision today," he said genuinely.

She kept staring at him.

"I am a changed person now. I have been reformed. And it was thanks to you," he said.

Liliana's heart couldn't contain the words. She loves it.

She has feelings for him too.

This is so unexpected. So unreal, but she could see the seriousness in his eyes.

He actually came all the way to see her.

He reached for her hand and held it, making her stare at their hands together.

"You wanted to see the world. Let me be your guide. Let's see the world together, baby. Please, don't say no," he said.

Liliana smiled shyly, lowering her gaze and looked at him.

He smiled at her.

"I love you, Lily," he said.

Liliana's heart danced with joy.

"I love you too, Mario." She almost whispered.

He smiled again as he took her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles. It sent nice shivers down her spine.

Not long later, they headed towards his car while still holding hands.

"Bye, Lily!" Molly said aloud, waving her hand at Lily. She is outside the diner with some other diner girls, and they are all admiring Liliana and Mario.

Liliana waved at her too as they got to the car.

Mario reached for her neck and cheek and crashed his lips on hers.

"Whoo!" Molly and the other girls squealed happily, clapping like they were seeing a movie.

"She is so lucky. He is very handsome and kinda wealthy. Look at his car," one of the diner girls said.

"Yeah. We are so lucky in our family. It is a norm," Molly said proudly.

"Yeah, right, and you have been working here for years now," The other diner girl said, making Molly throw her a scowl.

"Don't worry. Soon, my prince charming will come. Now, let's be happy for my sweet cousin. Bye Lily!" Molly squealed again, waving her hand at Lily as Mario took her to the passenger seat.

Liliana waved at her before getting into the car. Mario closed the door and walked towards the driver's seat. He got into the car and closed his door too.

He looked at her.

She is looking at him.

He leaned in, held her cheek again and kissed her lips softly. She held his, kissing him back. Their hearts fluttered in joy as the kiss went on.

They withdrew from each other and stared at their gorgeous eyes.

"I love you, Liliana," he said, caressing her cheek.

"I love you too, Mario." She said, biting her lips.

Mario smiled. He leaned closer and kissed her temples.

She felt delighted at that as she smiled softly.

"So, where does my queen want to go?" he asked.

She giggled shyly, lowering my wr gaze.

He smiled.

She looked at him. Her heart is so overjoyed right now. She can't believe this is happening.

But it is.

"My private jet is waiting for us," he said.

She froze. "What?"

He smiled.

"Are you serious?" She asked, smiling.

"Yeah. Just tell me where you want to go, baby, and it is done," he said.

"Hmm, well, I have always wanted to go to Miami," she said.

He raised his brows.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I felt terrible the other time I didn't go with you guys. The lady didn't pick me so," she shrugged.

"Miami it is then," he said, smiling.

Her heart jumped happily.

She squealed in an almost inaudible way, making him chuckle as he moved the car.

He held her hand as they drove. He moved it to his lips and kissed it.

She smiled as they drove.

This is so exciting.

So romantic.

Liliana has never felt happier to be with someone.

Mario too. His heart is so excited.

This is for him.

He can feel it.

MAIN MORELLI MANSION

Mimi and Lucas walked out of the mansion entrance door holding hands.

They took steps down the stairs and headed towards the car. They got to the car and they faced each other.

"Are you ready to go?" Mimi asked, smiling.

Lucas shrugged. "I am. I am just scared of flights."

Mimi scoffed. "Liar. Come on," she said, heading towards the passenger seat, but he held her hand, making her look at him.

He urged her closer, staring at her gorgeous eyes, and she stared at him. He caressed her cheek tenderly, admiring her beautiful face.

"I love you, baby," he said.

She smiled, wrapping her hands around his neck and stared at his perfection.

"I love you too," she said, smiling.

He smiled too. They both leaned in and kissed each other's lips passionately. They rested their temples on each other as they caught their breaths.

"Now, I am ready to go," he said.

Mimi chuckled, pushing his shoulder a bit before moving away.

"Hey!"

She poked her tongue at him, still moving away and laughing happily.

"I am going to catch you," he said.

"I would like to see you try," she dared.

"Oh yeah?"

She nodded, biting her lips.

He began chasing her.

"Ah!" She screamed, laughing afterward as he chased her around the car.

DOLORES' ROOM....

Dressed in an elegant black dress, Dolores stood close to her window, staring at Mimi and Lucas as they ran around the black car happily.

She smiled slightly as she stared at them. The joyful sound of Mimi's laughter tells her how happy her daughter is.

Dolores wishes she had that. Well, she did, but she was foolish to hang onto a love that could never see her the way she sees it.

Even though she took it by force, it came back and slapped her in the face.

She watched as Lucas caught Mimi, making Mimi laugh out loud as he wrapped his hands around her, and they shared another kiss.

Dolores smiled slightly, but a tear rolled down her eyes. She wiped it off, sniffling and Lucas took Mimi towards the passenger's seat. He opened the door for her and she entered.

He closed the door and walked towards the driver's seat. They started the car and headed towards the gate.

Dolores sniffled as she turned towards her already-packed luggage. She should have left before, but she had to do something first. Now, she is done with it, she has to leave.

There is nothing for her here. She couldn't get the man who really loved her. Adrian hasn't forgiven her, and she can't forgive herself either.

She took out the handle of her luggage and was about to head for the door when a knock came on it, making her look at the door.

It opened, revealing Alfredo.

Her heart clenched as she stared at him. He is dressed in a black shirt and black trousers. His eyes fell on the luggage and then on her.

"Alfredo," she called.

"Ready to leave?" he asked.

She nodded, lowering her gaze.

"You didn't think to tell me first before planning to leave with something that was mine?" he asked.

"I didn't think you wanted to speak to me. You haven't spoken to me since the test," she said.

"I have nothing to say to a woman that repaid my love with hate," he said.

Her heart clenched.

"I have nothing to say to a woman who never loved me but used me to feel desirable," he said.

She lowered her gaze, feeling tears approaching.

"I have nothing to say to a woman who didn't wait to confirm who really is the father of her unborn child but pinned it on someone she is lusting after," he said.

"I am sorry, Alfredo." She said, looking at him with tears in her eyes.

His heart reacted as he stared at her.

"I am truly sorry. When will you forgive me?" she asked.

"No particular time," he said.

She lowered her gaze, sniffling.

"You can go wherever you want. I will not stop you. Even if you are with my child, I still won't stop you. You can keep him or her away from me. I won't be surprised if you do so," he said.

She looked at him.

His heart reacted as he stared at the tears on her face.

"But if you have a little heart in you, I would like to see my baby once she or him is born," he said.

She stared at him.

"Have a nice life, Dolores," he said, walking away.

"Al....." She paused the minute he walked out of the room. She lowered her gaze, sobbing painfully. Slowly, she dropped on the floor, crying non-stop.

"Alfredo," she almost whispered as she sobbed bitterly.

IN THE KITCHEN.....

Carlos moved his fingers on his phone screen, uninterested in what he was doing. He is seated on one of the stools close to the island, sinking in his thoughts.

"Here, a cold wine for a moody guard," Paloma said, taking his attention as she moved a glass filled up with wine towards him.

He gave her a slight smile as he held the glass.

"Thank you," he said.

She smiled. "You are welcome,"

He stared at her, charmed by her smile.

"You smile so beautifully," he said.

She let out a tiny chuckle.

"Well, um, thanks," she said, lowering her gaze shyly.

"I have to go now," he said, getting on his feet.

She furrowed her brows confusedly as she watched him heading for the door.

"Wait, what about your drink?" She asked.

He looked at her. "Your smile was enough to lighten my mood."

Her heart reacted as she stared at him.

He smiled at her before walking away.

Her cheeks heated up as she lowered her gaze.

SECOND MANSION......

EVELYN'S ROOM......

Evelyn walked out of her bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She moved towards the mirror and stared at herself as she dried her hair with another towel.

She pulled down the towel as Adrian's words filled her head.

"You can take all the time you need. I will wait till you are ready. But I am never letting you go. You have my attention for life,"

She heaved a sigh as she continued drying her hair.

A slight knock came on her door, and it opened before she could say anything, revealing Adrian.

Her heart picked up.

He was dressed in a black tank top and gray sweatpants, looking sexy with his messy hair that looked like he ran his fingers through it.

"Hey," he said.

"I didn't say you can come in," she said, suppressing the familiar feeling he was giving her.

He looked at the door and then at her.

"I knocked."

"You didn't wait to hear me say come in before you did," she said.

"Why? You didn't want me to see you naked?" he asked, his eyes roaming her body.

She scoffed, facing the mirror and continued drying her hair while her heart continued racing.

"Someone is here to see you," he said.

She froze and looked at him.

"Who?"
