Chapter 22

*I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe I was the last one. I was supposed to be the second one. If it wasn’t for Saint’s big mouth, I would have never known. Cyrus sure wasn’t going to spill the beans that he had done what he had done. I still couldn’t believe they had done it. At the same time, I should have known they didn’t want to wait. I had been taking my time before I moved in on Winter. They didn’t want to wait for that. They didn’t have the same problem I did. I had a girlfriend. I couldn’t exactly just jump up and cheat on her. I mean I could, but I didn’t want to. Hailey and I have been together for a little bit now. It isn’t perfect, but I know my father likes her as my girlfriend. She is a good match for me. Her father being a senator can help him keep the vote to stay mayor longer. Which is what my father really cares about. He doesn’t care about his son’s happiness like a normal father would.

I have to say, I am more attracted to Winter than I am Hailey. Something about Winter has always pulled me in. She had a fire to her personality which Hailey didn’t have. She knew what hardships were like unlike Hailey who was rich and spoiled. She had more edge to her. Her looks were another thing that got me. Hailey was pretty. She was made to be a supermodel which she inspired to be. I just wanted to know what it would feel like to actually have something to grab onto. Winter had more curves to her with more meat on her bones. She wasn’t super model pretty. She was beautiful in her own way. She had her own sense of fashion that was her own instead of something you see in the magazines.

I know I shouldn’t want her. My father sees her as a stain. He might have been close friends with Rich, but he did not approve of his marriage to Winter’s mother. He thought it was a really bad idea for him. This would be his fourth marriage and with a much younger woman who had a child out of wedlock as a teen. It did not look good for him in most ways. In some he did look like a hero saving them from poverty, but that just makes them look like gold diggers to the world we live in. They don’t fit in. Maybe thats what was so intriguing about Winter. She was something different. Something new than what I was used to.

I softly knocked on the door. I didn’t know why I was doing this. I shouldn’t be doing this, but I wanted this. I wanted to taste what the others had tasted. We all agreed to share her, because otherwise we were going to kill each other for her. We all wanted her. I was on the edge, but I still wanted her. I knew I had a duty to my family to be with Hailey, but I didn’t want her. Not in the same way I wanted to Winter. Hailey felt too much like a duty and something I had to do like cleaning my room or getting good grades. I liked her at first, but now it was just too much of a hassle.

“Yes?” Winter’s voice came when she heard the knock. She opened the door slightly and than tired to close it when she saw it was me.

“Wait,” I said as I tried to push my way in. “I just want to talk.”

She shook her head. “No, you don’t. I know how you guys work.” She said pushing against the door. I was stronger though. I knew I was. You might not think it too much strength to play Hockey, but it does. I had been playing since I was a kid and could ice skate. My mother was the one who pushed it. My father was okay with anything as long as I did a sport. It looks good for college. It gives me something to do and gets me out of his hair. My mom loves Hockey and figure skated before she had me. She had stop though once she had me. I could tell she hated that. I was an only child. The only one my mother could have. I think my father always was pissed he couldn’t have more, but was at least happy he got a boy.

I pushed my way inside to the room. I closed the door behind me locking it. I didn’t let any of the guys know what I was doing. They didn’t tell me. I would hate for Zander to walk in.

“What are you doing?” She asked.

I scuffed. Like she didn’t know after what had happened between the rest of us. Winter seemed so clueless about the hold she had one us. Or at least she pretended she didn’t know what a hold she had. I was never sure. She had been something we all found intriguing since she moved in with Zander. We didn’t know how to show it when we were younger. We were mostly mean to her. We just didn’t know how to express this new feeling. Now, we had a way.

“No, serious, Royal. Get out. I don’t want to talk to you guys anymore.” She said pushing against my chest.

I pushed against her pushing, pushing her down on her bed as I crawled ontop of her. I put my hands on both sides of her head as I straddled her with my knees against the bed.

She shook her head. “What about Hailey?”

“What about her?” I shrugged as I moved my hands from where they were to touch her. She was wearing a pale pink t shirt and some black jean shorts. I could see her bra through the shirt. I licked my lips as I looked down at her. I couldn’t wait to get my piece of her.*
