Chapter 12: Got to do it

As Kitara turned around, she found herself surrounded by a group of guards, all of them looking at her with suspicion. She could feel their eyes on her, probing and accusing.

"Told you she's a spy here to steal our things," a voice behind her said.

Her heart skipped a beat as she realized that she was in even deeper trouble than she had thought. All she had wanted to do was find a way out of the mess she was in, but now it seemed that her actions had only made things worse.

"No, I'm not a thief or a spy. I'm a royal maid here," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Yeah, I know, but you refuse to accept what we're saying here," another guard said, his tone harsh and unforgiving.

Kitara felt a knot forming in her stomach. What were they accusing her of now? She had done nothing wrong.

"And what is that?" she asked, looking at the guard with confusion.

"No, you're not a baby anymore," the first guard sneered at Kitara, his voice thick with anger. "You're here because you failed to understand what we want."

Kitara's frustration rose like bile in her throat. She had done everything they had asked of her, and yet here she was being accused of being a spy and a thief. She fought to keep her voice steady as she asked, "And what is it that you want?"

The guards exchanged a quick glance, and Kitara could sense their reluctance to speak. Finally, one of them cleared his throat and spoke up. "Well, since you're playing the innocent type, maybe I should help you out by figuring out what we meant," the second guard said as he stepped closer to Kitara. He reached out his hand and caressed her face, sending a shiver of revulsion down her spine. Kitara pushed him away and clenched her fists, ready to fight anyone who dared to touch her again.

Suddenly, two more guards stormed into the room, their faces twisted with anger. They saw Kitara defending herself against the other guard and rushed over to intervene.

"What the hell is going on here?" one of the guards demanded.

"Well, this girl walked into our territory, and we decided to have some fun with her," the first guard said with a twisted grin. "And if you guys want to join in, feel free to."

"A while ago we also met a girl that we would have been with right now, but she somehow figure that our and ran away. Just a waste of effort" one of the new guard said.

Kitara knew she was in hell of a trouble right now, she knee she would have to fight her way out of the situation. Even if it calls for her to kill them she would do so. The thought of knowing this is possibly what are sister went through before she died fueled her anger.

"Oh, it the girl from earlier. Guess it is our lucky day. Guys let get down to business" the other guard said calling the attention of his mate to Kitara as the advanced towards her lustly.

As Kitara stood there, clenching her fist and ready to fight, she felt a sudden surge of energy course through her veins. It was as if her entire being was willing her to fight back against the guards. She knew that she couldn't allow them to do what they wanted to her, to take advantage of her in this way. She had to stand up for herself, no matter what.

The guards, on the other hand, were taken aback by her sudden change in demeanor. They had expected her to cower in fear, not to fight back. But now, as they looked at her, they saw a woman who was determined to defend herself, no matter the cost.

"Well, well, well," the second guard said, a smirk on his face. "Looks like we've got a feisty one here. I like that."

Kitara gritted her teeth, knowing that she had to stay focused if she was going to get out of this situation alive. She looked around, trying to find a way out, but there was none. She was trapped, with no way to escape.

As she stood there, the guards began to circle around her, taunting her with their words and their actions. They were trying to scare her, to make her back down. But Kitara was not one to be intimidated.

She waited until the guards got close enough, then she struck out with all her might. Her fist connected with one of the guards, sending him sprawling to the ground. The other guards looked at her in shock, then lunged forward to attack.

Kitara fought with all her might, using her fists and her feet to fend off the guards. She was fast and agile, and she knew how to fight. But there were too many of them, and she was getting tired.

Just as she was about to give up, she heard a voice in her head. It was her sister's voice, urging her to keep fighting, to never give up. Kitara felt a surge of energy, and she fought back harder than ever.

In the end, she managed to take down all the guards. She was battered and bruised, but she was alive. She looked around, trying to figure out what to do next.

It was then that she heard footsteps coming towards her. She turned around, ready to fight again, but it was only one person.

It was the captain of the guard, and he was holding a sword. Kitara braced herself for the worst, but the captain did not attack her. Instead, he looked at her with a mix of surprise and admiration.

"Well done," he said. "You fought well. I'm sorry about what happened. We've been having some trouble with rogue guards lately. But I can see that you're not one of them."

Kitara breathed a sigh of relief. She had done it. She had fought her way out of a dangerous situation and come out alive. And now, she had the respect of the captain of the guard.
