Maz ran over to me. After hugging me, she took me to Emma's room. Ben got up and gave me the chair beside the bed. Both him and Maz slipped out into the hall. I sat holding Emma's hand. I had so much to tell her. But now I was worried for her. The nurse came in and gave me a report on Emma.

"The others are down the hall, Hailey. Alaska is the worst of them. He will live thought thanks to his sister's quick thinking." Rose told me.

"Which sisters?" I asked her.

"The twins, they somehow got him to jump off the balcony. If they hadn't, he would not be with us."

"I will check on them later Rose, thank you."

"Anytime, glad you're home tea next week?"

"Absolutely." I told her, and she went to continue her rounds. I did not realize until that moment how much I missed home. I knew Conner was working at the burn site. I would see him later. We both had our jobs to do. I turned my attention back to Emma.

"I can feel you are back, Dawn. Please promise to protect Emma always." Emma purred.

"I will take that as you will." I said to Dawn.

"How is she?" Ben asked, coming back into the room.

"No change sleeping peacefully, Dawn has almost healed her burns." I told him.

"Did you find the answers you were looking for in Paris?" Ben asked.

"Yes, I have a lot to tell you all when everyone is better."

"I hope it is all good news we could really use some about now." Ben said.

"Ben, go and get some sleep. I will stay with her, if she wakes up I will call you right away." I told him sternly.

"You promise?" He asked.

"Yes, now go before I drop a sleeping spell on you."

"I love you to Hailey." He laughed, going out the door.

Maz came in a few minutes later.

"What did you do to Ben?" She asked.

"Nothing, really. Just threatened him with a sleeping spell." I told her. Maz chuckled. "Good. He had not slept in two days."

"Did you find out any more about the twins?" Maz asked.

"Enough, but I want to wait and share everything with everyone together." I told her.

"Sorry, I understand. Did you get to see my granddaughters when you were there."

"Oh, yes. Emily and Luke invited me over a few times. The girl never stopped talking about their Geema and how much they missed you. They are both very beautiful."

"I missed them too, but I want to wait until that Sir Henry is caught and Emma has the baby."

"She has about 3 weeks left?" I asked.

"Yes, I was pretty scared when Alaska dropped her from the balcony. But the doctor said the baby was fine."

"Do you want to sit with her while I go and check on the children?" I asked Maz.

"Of course, take your time. I'm not going anywhere." She told me. I got up and starched and went to the door.

"Let me know if she wakes up." I asked.

"I will." Maz said and sat down, holding Emma's hand. I went to the room where they had Orson and Alaska. Ember and the twins were there with them. When they saw me, the girls ran and hugged me. The men smiled at me.

"Hello, to all of you too," I said.

"Did you all miss me that much?" I asked.

"Understatement." Alaska said.

"I hear you're a hero, Alaska." I said.

"No, don't say that I just was getting mom. The real heroes are the twins saving my life."

"When you all can leave here, we have a lot to talk about. Where is Jennifer?" I asked, noticing she was not in the room.

"Drake took her to see her mother. Tomorrow, they are coming to Papa's to stay there. I really want us to have our mating ceremony." Alaska told me.

"You will soon, Alaska." I told him. After about half an hour later, I said I would see them later and went to find Conner. I missed my husband and mate.

SIR HENRY'S POV

I waited and waited to get some news it had been two days. Sammie came into the den with a tray of food.

"Uncle, you need to eat. I made you some lunch, and I will be out in the garden if you need me. Please eat." Then she was gone again. My phone rang. It was the idiot who said he would let me know they were all dead.

"Well, you better have good news for me." I yelled into the phone.

"The detonators you gave us failed. Three of them."

"How many of them died?"

"None."

"Did I just hear you, right? You burned down the house in the middle of the night, and they all lived?"

"Yes, Sir. Sorry, everything was wired right but like I said....."

"I don't want to hear excuses."

"You find me some rogues."

"Sir, that will get me caught."

"Find me some rogues and come and get me. I think It is time we meet face to face."

" A red pickup truck pulled into the driveway, and a man in his late twenties sat in the driver seat. He started lying on the horn. What an Idiot. I opened the door and motioned for him to cut it.

"Sammie?" I called.

"Yes, uncle?"

"I'm going to be gone all day. Don't leave the house." I told her. Then I went out and got in the filthy truck.

"Really, this is what you pick me up in?" I grumbled.

"We are not all rich asses. There is nothing wrong with my truck."

"Your Alpha has airplanes, and you have a rust bucket." I said.

"Better watch your words, I got black mailed into this. Alpha is old and wise. I'm still a pup to him. If I invested, right. I could have money like that, too."

"Yah, you just remember what will happen to your sister if you keep messing up." I told him.

"You better not lay a finger on her!" He yelled.

"Then you best be doing what you're told and get it right." I said, lighting my cigar.

"I have you set up in a camp, I put word out on your location, and you need a job done. They will start drifting in. Choose wisely. Some will take the money and run."

"You're not staying?" I asked.

"Are you crazy? I can't afford to be recognized by anyone."

He parked the truck by a tent.

"You have supplies in there for a few days. I'm not doing anything else for you. Get out of my truck." He said.

As soon as I got out, he sped away, kicking the dirt up with his tires.

I went inside and sat and waited.

Yes, Sir." Then he hung up.

EMMA'S POV

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. What happened? I tried to remember but I couldn't.

"My favorite student is awake." Hailey said.

"Hailey!" I cried, reaching to hug her.
