Chapter 165: The Doctor is Very Skilled

Ethan plopped Russell on the bar, ripped open his shirt, and made a quick cut on his stomach with a scalpel.

Alvin was starting to think Ethan wasn't as gentle as he seemed. His rough surgical skills were a dead giveaway, and it looked like he forgot to use anesthesia on Russell!

Russell woke up from the pain, and man, this guy was tough. He glanced down at his messed-up stomach and even had the energy to joke with Alvin, "Did your doctor get his license from a vet?"

Seeing Russell in so much pain but still hanging in there, Alvin couldn't take it and asked Ethan, "No anesthesia left? This guy looks like he's about to die!"

Ethan, busy with something inside Russell's stomach, casually replied, "I thought it was just a minor issue, so I didn't bring any anesthesia. Maybe you can ask around the apartment across the street if anyone has some weed; that might help him feel a bit better. This guy's too badly injured; there's no time to get him to a hospital."

Alvin shook his head and signaled Frank to knock Russell out, as he might accidentally damage Russell's brain if he did it himself.

Frank, who had been silent since Russell came in, swiftly pinched Russell's neck, making him pass out.

Alvin summoned Corpse Flower, which turned into a thin vine and pierced Russell's waist. No matter the situation, this guy couldn't die here. Alvin admired him; they shared the same stance on vampires.

Looking at Frank, Alvin asked, "Do you know him?"

Frank was silent for a moment, then nodded and said nostalgically, "We trained together once. This guy is a very capable bastard. He also had a partner named Deacon Frost. These two were big names among CIA field agents back in the day."

Alvin was curious about Frank's attitude and said, "Do you have a grudge against him?"

Frank shook his head and said, "No, just a deep impression. This guy once gouged out a CIA official's eye in front of a judge for his partner. I always thought he'd spend the rest of his life in prison. Seeing him here is quite strange!"

Alvin smiled and said, "He's now the head of some department in S.H.I.E.L.D. that deals with abnormal creatures. I kind of like this guy, except for being too flashy. You have to admit, he's an outstanding bastard!"

Frank nodded and said, "That's right. This guy often said, 'We bastards should stick together!' That made him quite popular back then."

Tony, who had been listening to the story, couldn't help but say, "Guys, what the hell is going on here? I think your place is busier than the NYPD!"

Alvin shrugged and said, "Who knows? I didn't sleep yesterday, and it looks like I won't be able to sleep today either. Is my restaurant cursed?"

Tony, very interested, said, "But it's quite interesting. I always see exciting things here. This guy is from S.H.I.E.L.D.; why did he come here when he got hurt?"

Alvin thought for a moment, having no clue, and said to Tony, "I don't know either. I only met him once in Los Angeles, and I promised to buy him a drink. But this guy is specifically responsible for dealing with vampires. The little turtles and big rats also fought vampires in the sewers of Hellfire Boulevard. I guess there's some connection."

Looking at Tony, Alvin seriously said, "Tony, want to join the fun? I really hate vampires. I need to kill all the vampires that appear on Hellfire Boulevard."Tony proudly patted a gold and red briefcase on the bar and grinned, "Of course, I'm in. They made a fool out of me once. I've got a stash of vampire-killing weapons at Tony Tower. I'll call Derek Peterson to bring them over. Trust me, you'll love 'em!"

Alvin nodded. Having a billionaire for logistics was pretty sweet. Sure, they had vampire-specific weapons, but who'd complain about more firepower?

Jack, in his chef's uniform and a disposable mask, held a flashlight over Russell's stomach, playing nurse. Ethan, in a dirty jacket, was busy with Russell's insides.

From the outside, they looked like a couple of sketchy organ traffickers.

Ethan's surgery took two hours. Watching his rough technique, Alvin decided he'd rather take a cab to the hospital if he ever got hurt. This guy was too much like a "vet." Hospital doctors might not be as skilled, but at least they had anesthesia and pretty nurses.

As Ethan was stitching up Russell's stomach, Steve walked in, sporting a bright red lipstick mark on his face and looking pretty pleased with himself.

Tony, annoyed, shouted at Steve, "Hey! Steve, how was that chick?"

Steve was momentarily stunned. Seeing Tony's expression, he realized Tony was either teasing or maybe jealous, not confirming he was Captain America.

Steve didn't mind people knowing his identity. He never hid his name; what was there to be afraid of? Steve was never one to shy away from the public. He just took a nap and was a bit out of touch.

Alvin and the others mostly joked about his name and didn't care much about his true identity. Although Steve sensed they had some guesses about him, wasn't that normal? He enjoyed this stress-free life.

Steve pursed his lips, nodded slightly, and said to Tony, "Tony, show some respect. You should call me uncle; I was friends with your dad! And by the way, that girl was great, very hot. I think she's perfect for me."

Tony was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter and said, "Your dad gave you a great name, so you can tell people you're Tony's uncle. How does that feel, buddy? Quite an accomplishment, right?"

Alvin covered his forehead, unable to bear telling Tony the truth. The guy was telling the truth, and you thought he was joking?

Seeing Steve's satisfied look, Alvin didn't want to say more. He had advised Steve to find a girlfriend during the day, and now criticizing him wouldn't be what a good friend should do.

Although he thought that female reporter must be a troublesome person, because ordinary people wouldn't be friends with the little turtles.

But since Steve liked her, let it be! He believed Steve could handle those troubles.

He nudged Tony beside him and pointed at Steve, whose muscles were about to burst out of his shirt, and said, "Don't be jealous, buddy. You really need to work out. Weaklings have no rights here!"

Tony, angry, pointed at Ethan, ready to find someone to back him up. But before he could speak, Ethan, still busy, said, "Tony, I haven't said a word about the stupid things you did in Afghanistan. Don't point your finger at me. You know doctors can get angry too!"

Alvin glanced at Russell's messy stomach, shivered, exchanged a look with Tony, and nodded solemnly, deeply agreeing with Ethan's words!
